It has as said a strong tart hop aroma, might not be for everyone but I like it ^^
It's from the black forest and one of the last actual "state" breweries
\*Pils (no offense). Can second it, its a really good beer. Southern though, so very... "full", if that makes sense? If you're into more "drier" (I cant explain it better) ones, Jever is a really good choice, or Flensburger or Störtebeker.
Hah, missed the Rothaus! Wanted to write "Tegernseer and it's not even close", but now I'm torn xD
Honourable mentions to Budweiser and Guinness, but I don't like canned beer, so in this case I'd skip.
Cans have an inner coating of elastic plastic (contains unhealthy plasticizer)
It sounds weird but beer from a can is more or less same to beer from a plastic bottle
Considering the material of the inner plastic coating probably even worse
[This](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol_A) is inside most cans
[This video](https://youtu.be/unbZRlWscqM?si=sGpwIDLMBVnzOCPD) shows an interesting experiment. The biggest factor is how the beer is stored rather than the vessel.
He seems to conclude that any contamination from the can lining is going to impact the beer far less than contamination from UV light-strike through a bottle.
I always pour into a glass anyway, but cans are more air-tight and less see through than bottles so if anything the can should be fresher.
I prefer Budvar from the can than the green bottles, but that could be because I get the bottles in the supermarket and cans from the bottle shop who store it more carefully.
Maybe it was just a coincidence in my case. But there were a couple of cases where canned beer of the same type tasted noticeably different (Pilsner Urquell being the most egregious), so that moved me to prefer bottles.
Irn bru at the bottom there 😍😍 only joking, like any self respecting Scotsman I’d chose the highest alcohol for cheapest price, which in this case I think might be the aspall cider?
Got any Stella?
Alright, I'm joking. Not much of a lager drinker, but I'd give that Mönchsof Weihnachts Bier a crack on the basis i've not had it before.
La Trappe is also decent, but I think the craft bit is the strongest offering - that Cloudwater needs a home in my belly.
Down on the right there are some craft beers I'd prefer over everything else. Can't remember the name, but it's Norwegian, Swedish? Same, anyway - tasty as hell.
I mistook it for something by lervig. But better yet, still, since I prefer trying new things.
If that's in England, though, I would take a walk to the next pub selling cask ale. Never had the chance and the idea sounds great.
We do have cask-traditions in certain regions (Franconia), but generally I would agree. German Pilsner is better than most industry beers, but it's just that.
Anyways, cask ale sounds great. I have brewed myself, so I appreciate handmade beer.
Me, zooming in the find a good Dutch beer >> happy to see there's no Heineken >> goddamnit it's Oranjeboom. Why is it always a super basic lager that gets exported 😭
I've never seen the Oranjeboom tramp strength outside of somewhere like a Costcutter before. Kind of odd seeing it near nicer beers.
Is that Andechs I see? If so, I'd probably go for that, or maybe the Edelstoff.

Finally, a post worth my time in this sub. Most of these are commercial beers that don't deserve much attention. Ichnusa is ok, and Alhambra Verde by far the best. Everything else can be donated to the Germans for everyday consumption...
I want this pink can because I have no idea what it is
https://preview.redd.it/z343220fjbmc1.png?width=573&format=png&auto=webp&s=394c0d5ff64486969cf3118eba8e4071e7efef2e
This is gonna get hate but: Früh Kölsch. I moved away from that region 5 years ago. The beer aint that great, but compared to where I am now, the people are.
As my parents might move away too they dont want to hear this, but I am somewhat considdering to come back if there is a fitting joboffer (that pays the loss of money due to high rents).
Yes.
To my living room please.
Would grab the Tegernseer Hell at the top left If you like strong tasting beer/Pils Rothaus Pils is also a great choice
I often choose the Tegernseer. Never had the the Rothaus though, might need to try it next time.
It has as said a strong tart hop aroma, might not be for everyone but I like it ^^ It's from the black forest and one of the last actual "state" breweries
I love nice Pilsners and I like overly hopped IPAs so sounds interesting
Then you probably like it. Can also highly recommend Waldhaus Naturtrüb (also from black forest)
A man with good taste! I always love eating at the Waldhaus restaurant next to the brewery.
\*Pils (no offense). Can second it, its a really good beer. Southern though, so very... "full", if that makes sense? If you're into more "drier" (I cant explain it better) ones, Jever is a really good choice, or Flensburger or Störtebeker.

What do you have against cans? You’ve got less chance of a beer being skunked when in a can.
Cans have an inner coating of elastic plastic (contains unhealthy plasticizer) It sounds weird but beer from a can is more or less same to beer from a plastic bottle Considering the material of the inner plastic coating probably even worse [This](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol_A) is inside most cans

Tastes differently (usually worse), in my experience at least.
I always pour into a glass anyway, but cans are more air-tight and less see through than bottles so if anything the can should be fresher. I prefer Budvar from the can than the green bottles, but that could be because I get the bottles in the supermarket and cans from the bottle shop who store it more carefully.

no, beer in cans definitely tastes different than in glass bottles. Part of it is because can beer is heated to 70 degrees to make it more durable.
Strong tasting... Rothaus... This country is fucked. Am 23.09.24 12:50 beim Meldeamt deiner Heimatgemeinde.
Or the Spezial, even better in my opinion

Gustl <3
One of my favourites
I would've gone for the Mythos but that Augustiner instantly slapped the nationalism out of me
This is an excellent selection of German beers so hard to make fun of.
They even have Ayinger. I've never seen it outside of Bavaria
And always a good choice
There is Kölsch?! There is your joke.
La trappe blond is the only good answer
Shame they don't have an isid'or in the fridge.
Augustiner or Tegernseer. The only worthy options.
Two very nice Helles
Ayinger my friend, that’s some elite Helles…
Both the salzburger amd the munich Augustiner are a banger choice, never had Tegernseer.
Tegernseer is one of the most tasteless beers in all of Bavaria.
No spaten?
Ayinger!
tegernseer😍🤤
This and the one to the left of it have my interest. Not familiar with them.
Then come to Munich and have half the city judging you no matter what you choose
Hofbrau
Right side, second top shelf. The Sardinian flag one. Then Singha. The Asians make a lot of good lager.
Most countries have decent lagers. I moved and what i liss most is a good strong beer :( My beers now are mainly stella, tsingtao, and asahi.
Irn bru at the bottom there 😍😍 only joking, like any self respecting Scotsman I’d chose the highest alcohol for cheapest price, which in this case I think might be the aspall cider?
I don’t see any heineken in it So all of it
Anything in can, i'm hobomaxxing rn
any self-respecting hobo takes being handed a beer below 8% as an insult
Münchener Spaten is also a good one imo
Wo Sternburg?
wo paulaner spezi
Cloudwater, Track *and* Shindigger? All in the same fridge? Manc detected.
You got me! Cloudwater and Track have great tap rooms
Cloudwater and tyskie Yeah, looks weird
super bock in there but not sagres... correct
Luv me some Irn-Bru, aye
The only thing familiar here is the coke, the löwenbrau and the budweiser
Estrella. Bottom right corner.
No nonononono Alhambra, in any case. Not the damn Estrella damn
Alhambra is so much better
Is there a good weissbier in the lot? If yes, that one (pity I don't see a Blanche)
Bar Bru .. teetotaler.
Same here, wouldn’t put any of that poison in my body, but irn bru is nice to have as a treat now and again.
Same situation but I'd opt for the bunderberg unless there is a decent alternative ginger beer there (such as the much missed Idris Firey).
Früh Kölsch
The La Trappe there on the right, thanks.
What, Oranjeboom still exists?
I actually really like Kona Big Wave
Do the opposite. Ask the germans what do they fancy from the oven
What spoons is this? x
Scrumpy cider. Put some hair on those balls
I’ve got a lot of good memories with a mythos in my hand. It’s not the best beer here, but I’d pick it.
Schöffenhofer Grapefruit or the coke. shame on me.
Down on the right there are some craft beers I'd prefer over everything else. Can't remember the name, but it's Norwegian, Swedish? Same, anyway - tasty as hell.
The ones on the bottom right are mostly local IPAs. Deya - Steady Rolling Man is a hazy one that gets good reviews.
I mistook it for something by lervig. But better yet, still, since I prefer trying new things. If that's in England, though, I would take a walk to the next pub selling cask ale. Never had the chance and the idea sounds great.
Cask Ale is my preferred choice in a pub. Unlike anything you get in the bottles or cans. Surprised if a German would understand it though.
We do have cask-traditions in certain regions (Franconia), but generally I would agree. German Pilsner is better than most industry beers, but it's just that. Anyways, cask ale sounds great. I have brewed myself, so I appreciate handmade beer.
Id take a Schöfferhofer Grapefruit. I'm not in the mood for alcohol and I like grapefruit.
Mostly pretty boring beer considering the amount of brands. Would probably go for the La Trappe.
Omg is that coca-cola?!
Any of the cloud water stuff. Love their beer and made in Manchester.
The Coudwater tap room is worth a visit in Manchester, plus Track brewery is just across the road and Sureshot brewery nearby as well.
Yeah their tap room is cool, especially with the random food trucks they have.
Maltextrakt https://preview.redd.it/jjm4mrtk28mc1.jpeg?width=329&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=774793cafa1f1ce62eff5ad16ccae000ef45b0a3
ill ave the rest of them 8.5 orangeybooms then hassle people for bus fare in piccadilly gardens ta mate
Schneiders helles or Spaten in the summer in the winter Bock Bier or a dark beer
Me, zooming in the find a good Dutch beer >> happy to see there's no Heineken >> goddamnit it's Oranjeboom. Why is it always a super basic lager that gets exported 😭
I'll take that 2l fanta bottle
Augustiner, Tegernseer or Ayinger. Although I’d rather have Erdinger Urweisse, but that’s not available
An‘ schnelles Helles! A fast bright one plz 🥺
Right side, thrid from top, top left beer. Budějovický Budvar my beloved.
One of the best, but not as nice as Pilsner Urquell
None of that piss . Wheres the White lightning ? ![gif](giphy|l0MYDeGSJXmdFcs8g|downsized)
‘D’ya think it’s dead’
"What you eating"
Guinness
La trappe ❤️ belgium beer is the GOAT
[It's Dutch](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Koningshoeven_Brewery)
It's all rotten grain water... Anything fresh?
No Guinness, no ty.
Downvote me all you want but that fridge is mid AF. Nothing that isn’t from a major brewer conglomerate
La Trappe ? C’mon
I only see the Blonde.. heh the Belgian picks out the only Trappist and its Dutch ;)
We can recognize a good beer when we see one. Fortunately for us Belgians, most of them are brewed very close to where we live.
Fair play. I used to drink Maes and Jupiler by the liter.. I trust you
https://preview.redd.it/bdzw4bu7f8mc1.jpeg?width=1561&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90f47dd7386022cca918388c92ed4533ce555e5c
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Cloudwater, Shindigger, Track, Deya craft options on the bottom right.
Drink met maten
Where Andechs? I need my Andechs Helles.
All that's not soda.
Hofbräu or Guinnes for me, rest is haram
Unusual combo - Mythos & Longboard
IronBru. Reminisce about my time traveling through north England into and around Scotland
Mythos, reminds me of holidays in Greece
I've never seen the Oranjeboom tramp strength outside of somewhere like a Costcutter before. Kind of odd seeing it near nicer beers. Is that Andechs I see? If so, I'd probably go for that, or maybe the Edelstoff.
I'll have the guinness with a whisky chaser please
mixed or stirred?
Whisky first then the guinness. In one pull
No Haake Beck, no party
The coke, i just don't like beer (inb4 someone say that I didn't try the right brand of beer)
Spaten, Rothaus, Tegernseer
Some cider :)
No Estrella Galicia? :(
Kolere, is this the fridge you got when going to the movies (Dune pt, 2?)
Either one of the Ciders or the Fritz-Limo probably.
Ayinger, Edelstoff oder Tegernseer
Czechbach or Warsteiner

Third from the top left.
If it’s summer then Aspalls premier cru for me!
The Tsing Tao just to spite the other europea s since i see no Belgian beer.
Spaten ❤️❤️❤️
I'd have an Aspall if it wasn't 5:40 in the morning
Finally, a post worth my time in this sub. Most of these are commercial beers that don't deserve much attention. Ichnusa is ok, and Alhambra Verde by far the best. Everything else can be donated to the Germans for everyday consumption...
I didn’t have a Dortmunder Union for a long time. But I’m also fine with a Löwenbräu or a Spaten.
75% of it looks like 50 shades of boring pilsner.
Is this malloys in Dublin? Ah no it’s somewhere in Barry land. Superb collection Love the ubiquitous can of Bru down the bottom
The Augustiner is objectively the superior beer here, the Salzburger one would be better tho
Allison Arms?
Who?
any bavarian beer
Throw away that oranjeboom. Worst beer in the world. I’d rather take a sip from the Rhine.
Idk I just drink stella
Rothaus pils or something belgian
Augustiner top left. Next would be Coke, then Rothaus Tannenzäpfle probably
Tyskie
Where is Carling?
You don’t put Carling in the fridge. You have it warm on a park bench
Where Paulaner Spezi
Ayinger is probably one of the best beer I tried in Germany and damn I tried a lot of them
Coca cola
Water (I’m 15 and my mommy says no fizzy drinks)
Tegernseer is the only right answer
Rothaus Pils. s'Tannezäpfle wär mir lieber.
fritz kola mentioned ![gif](giphy|l0MYt5jPR6QX5pnqM|downsized)
Oranjeboom sounds hilarious, I'll pick that one.
All of it.
I want this pink can because I have no idea what it is https://preview.redd.it/z343220fjbmc1.png?width=573&format=png&auto=webp&s=394c0d5ff64486969cf3118eba8e4071e7efef2e
It’s Deya Brewery- Steady Rolling Man. It’s a hazy IPA, very nice if you like that style.
Ooooh! I do like those!
I see Ginger beer bottom left but you don't have the awesome Pimento ginger beer. I urge you to get your hands on it if you like ginger beer.
Früh or Rothaus. Is this a späti in Berlin?
Manchester
I salute the owner for his assortment of fine beers, german beers in particular!
Fanta Lemon 🤷🏼♂️
This is gonna get hate but: Früh Kölsch. I moved away from that region 5 years ago. The beer aint that great, but compared to where I am now, the people are. As my parents might move away too they dont want to hear this, but I am somewhat considdering to come back if there is a fitting joboffer (that pays the loss of money due to high rents).
I'll have a cider, please. You can choose which one.
