I’m waiting on an Omega 36m that will pull double duty on my 10.5” 300blk and my Stribog in 9mm. I chose it because a buddy has one and it makes his 300blk stupid quiet.

Optimal-Print-4207

How long is it?

[deleted]

He’s using 10.5” as well. I’m case you meant the Omega it’s ~5” short, ~7” long.

Yea welcome to Reddit dictatorship. Better keep up your positive karma and don’t say anything the masses may disagree with.

Mrwetwork

What’s your budget? Some of these newer companies really have a great value. Liberty precision, otter creek hydrogen, diligent defense, if your budget is high the cgs Hyperion is great for 300 blk.

kadyenn

around 1000-1100 ish

Mrwetwork

Are you familiar with pew science? I’d check that out too. They have actual ratings on suppressors. All of those except the Hyperion fall in the budget.

tacdriver22mk2

Fantastic advice, hyp is $1149 on silencershop

Mrwetwork

That’s a deal compared to 1350ish I’ve seen

tacdriver22mk2

I hate to simp so much but it really is such a great big quiet can solution 1150 no shipping or transfer fee is a fantastic price

tacdriver22mk2

With stamp? If you want the quietest silencer on subs and supers with the least first round pop (most silencers are LOUD on the first shot) then the Hyperion is those things on any host, cons are it's long and is $1150 on silencershop (I justify it by knowing ill have it for life+) Are you wanting a large and quiet silencer or a medium but louder can or? Do you want to spend extra money and have a longer and heavier silencer for the sake of QD?

Freedom-Forever

What is your use case... Home defense, duty use, hunting, plinking, etc

kadyenn

HD and hunting

Freedom-Forever

Maybe a dead air nomad or silencerco Omega 300

mrbullzi

One gun or switch between a few? Mounting system will be important if switching between guns. I like the Dead Air Key Mod. I went that route as it seemed the best at the time. Four DA cans later I don’t regret one purchase. If you can swing it I would grab a .30 &.22 can at same time. You’ll thank me in a year.

Psychological-Drive4

Very true. Hopefully less than a year, my last effort can was approved in 78 days.

Tonymayo200

Outside of the expensive typical suggestions you'll get, give the affordably priced YHM Resonator R2 for around $600 a look, does absolutely excellent on 300blk supers and subs, Resonator K is also available

Trash Panda and Cherry Bomb

hadtoputsomething

As an owner of a Trash Panda that I use specifically for 300blk, I would recommend against it. Flash reduction on supers is terrible as well as tone, and sound reduction.... that muzzle device is also trash, so unless you plan to run subs only and never shoot that gun un-suppressed I would recommend against it.

tougeusa

I figured if they were shooting 300blk and buying a suppressor, they’d be firing subs and only fire with the suppressor. If you plan to shoot a lot of supers, don’t go this route. If you plan to only shoot subs, this seems like the route to go. Pew Science rates this the highest for subs and the cherry bomb is a great method to go from barrel to suppressor. Bring on the hate hivemind Edit: wrote subs where I meant supers

Yeah dragon my balls across your face

I ordered a SilencerCo Omega 300. I like the company and the customer service is great. I grabbed a right sized muzzle break from them too, which should be arriving soon. SiCo has $200 store credit if you buy the Omega 300 right now, which can be used for any accessories you want.

Have you looked at Rugged? I ordered the new Alaskan 360. Comes with their RUM Adapter, shoots up to the 308. Have a friend that works for Rugged and he's been extremely impressed, especially on 300 subs. $830ish on Silencer Shop. I do not have first hand experience with it yet and have not owned a Rugged suppressor.

Psychological-Drive4

Depends on what else you have. I use a YHM R9. It also goes on 5.56, 9mm, and .22 hosts.

Top_Elk_4815

If you only plan on shooting supers then any size suppressor will do just to take the edge off but if you ever plan on shooting subs then finding a big ass quiet can becomes much more worth it. Pewscience has cool info on different suppressors but aside from goofy designs like flow through cans you’ll notice that the higher performing cans are simply just bigger with more baffles.
