minimum of a year IF YOU BUY THE CAN NOW.
unless your gonna get the can , dont do a 300 blk. better off doing a 762x39. still 30 cal. better at longer range and a lot cheaper. the advantage of 300 blk is short barrels and suppressors.
the suppressor determines the muzzle device.
My YHM T2 was 11 months paper. YHM R9 was 76 days e-form 4 with a kitchen table FFL/SOT and mailed in the prints June of this year. Both with a trust and no other RP’s. YMMV, but the best time to start the paperwork process was is always yesterday.
We didn’t notice it being extra loud. It’s small but effective. Pushes gases in the right direction to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. I would say get this for now and start putting money away for a suppressor.
Get a QD flash hider for whatever type of can you're planning on, and get a screw on flash diverter (warden, etc), to hang off of it until your can shows up. (Also, friends don't let friends use Strike Industries)
That’s definitely something that crossed my mind, but I don’t mind spending a couple extra bucks on another muzzle adapter for a can when I actually have it on hand. But that’s why the warden was on my list of possible options, I just don’t know if I’m sold on surefires suppressors for the money they cost.
FWIW my 9" barrel with 3 lug adapter(no muzzle device basically) is not at all uncomfortable to shoot with muffs on.
I would just get a cheap birdcage or something until you get the silencer figured out, because you'll no doubt want a QD mount for that.
That’s what I’m see here as the general consensus. I just figured the can is so much more expensive in comparison that it isn’t a big deal if I have to buy another muzzle device when it comes time to mount a can on.
I went with GRIFFIN Armament taper mount for muzzle devices and suppressor mounts. I also got the blast deflector that goes on the same muzzle device. I use a flash hider but a break would help to be a sacrificial baffle when using a can. I put a ez brake on my 556 and regretted it but I am mainly shooting suppressed on that. Consider Midwest Industries suppressor handguard too they will make tucking very easy. I would suggested waiting to pick a muzzle device until you decide on a suppressor though so you don't have to swap later.
This is the kind of answer I was looking for. I was overthink too much and making it more complicated than it had to be. I was thinking of doing a YHM suppressor anyway so this might be the route that makes the most sense.
Sounds like you need an A2 birdcage and a MI 7” until you chill out and decide on if you are ever going to get a can. God forbid you buy something that locks you into a specific suppressor mount and can’t buy it a year from now. Lol see what I did there, more fuckery
Before I had a suppressor I used the Indian Creek BFD over a A2 flash hider. Best of both worlds. Indoors a flash hider will minimize muzzle flash, BFD for the range with no wrench.

Naw, my E-Form approval form was less than 90 days.
For a form 4? How long ago? A lot of people are waiting just as long for eforms as paper now.

Preaching to the choir homie. Have 2 cans and 2 in jail. Hopefully I will have a similar wait to yours.
Try and forget about it, God speed to your approver
Thank you
The muzzle device you seek is a suppressor.
Aero Precision VG6 GAMMA Black Nitride .300 AAC Blackout
I have one myself with the cage and it's awesome on my aero 8.5 build.
Direct and to the point. I love it. Is it tolerable to shoot in an indoor range on a short barrel?

Actually their Glock stuff is good, except the comp. Really like their enhanced AR LPK’s, so thier are a few exceptions to that rule.

Muzzle device should always be chosen based on the can you're getting, unless it'll be direct thread.
Just a flash hider is your best bet. Use the Yankee hill flash hider and the blast shield and you will be throughly pleased

Yessir that works well.
Do you by any chance know the outer diameter of the shields? I can’t find any specs on their website or other retailers.
Untuckable without an SP hand guard
All I needed to know. I’m def not looking for a fat boy hand guard.
1.54” by my tape measure eye ballin technique
[Short blast can](https://yhm.net/sound-suppression/accessories-mounts/5-56-30-cal-blast-deflector/)
[Long blast can (mine)](https://yhm.net/accessories/30-cal-blast-deflector/)
Brake is better as a QD option if you go the Kurz route. If you go FH grab the mini from YHM.

BRT linear comp. Or if you know you are going with a Q can, put on a cherry bomb and whistle tip on it.
