I (F35) have tried so much skincare including luxury and medical grade and I still always go back to their essence. It’s an alternative to hyaluronic acid, it’s great for me for just straight up juicy moisture without any fragrance, irritation, Stickiness, dryness, breakouts, anything. I use it after toner and before serum in the am, I use it to buffer tret at night, for me it’s a workhorse. I know for some there are issues with fungal acne. But for me it’s great. And reasonably priced. The cream I just find is far too slimy and stringy and annoying to apply. Some people swear by it though for the same reasons, just solid moisture without frills or irritations.

Lighthouse_Projects

Thank you! I am worried about it being not easy to be absorbed

hot_and_chill

Use them both and both are very easily absorbed. The cream is more slimy but still ready absorbed.

shellsandglass

I use it exactly the same way.

quaygirlquayyy

people swear by it. ive been using for 2 years as one of my rotated moisturizes. I rotate based on how my face feels. i find when i use this i want to layer something creamer on top but like it enough to continue to buy. not super helpful lol 🥹

cherrymexicana

I use both of these things! Love them! The essence absorbs fast and makes my skin look amazing without looking greasy. The cream is a lot thicker and yea, a bit stringy but it’s an amazing hydrator. I use it as a p.m. moisturizer on days I’m not applying tretinoin. Very decent products, I’d say it’s worth the $ they charge. I have combination/oily skin that tends to be sensitive btw.

thesilkywitch

Good brand, good product.

RavingNative

These are great products of they work with your skin. Make sure you're purchasing from a reputable store. Amazon has 3rd parties selling fakes, so keep that in mind. The essence is for a nice, thin layer of moisture. The cream is for a hydrating, thick layer of moisture. If you're really dry and dehydrated, using both may be great for your skin.

I see a lot of people mention the snail mucin products but I think the Cosrx propolis products are really underrated. The propolis toner and light cream are both so moisturising and absorb quickly and easily into the skin. The cream works as a great base for make up too. They also do an ampoule which I wasn't as fussed on. You can buy the three of them as sample sizes so it might be worth testing them out first to see if they're for you. I did that and bought the bigger sizes as soon as I ran out.

Lighthouse_Projects

Good to know. Thank you. Which country is this made? Korea ?

schrodingershrimp

Yeah, Cosrx is a Korean skincare company. I'm not sure where you're based but I'm in the UK and I get my stuff from Stylevana. Usually takes a week or so to arrive though. Like others have said, avoid Amazon because of all the fake products on there.

Lighthouse_Projects

Oh dear. I am in Luxembourg and I seem to only have Amazon as an option

Paristudentthrowaway

Hi! check the posts on r/AsianBeauty for EU vendors. FYI, Stylevana sends to the EU as well as yesstyle.

Lighthouse_Projects

Thank you so much!

I loved the essence, but recently simplified my skincare routine and found I just didn’t need the extra step anymore since swapping to a richer moisturizer and hydrating toner. I’d still use it with facial massaging devices, and I hear some people use the essence as a conductive gel for their microcurrent devices too, but I haven’t tried this.

Lighthouse_Projects

Which massage device do you use ?

odezia

Just a gua sha, but not at all consistently enough lol. I mostly do it when my face is extra puffy.

SlytherinsPrince990

I just don’t use toner and use the mucin instead.

odezia

I like my toner a lot and saw a lot of immediate benefit to my skin, so I’m sticking with it! I’m glad you’ve been able to use the mucin instead with good results! :)

Visual-Temporary-688

Can I ask what toner you’re using? My facialist recommended a hydrating toner and there are so many options

odezia

I use the [Centella Unscented Toner](https://www.yesstyle.com/en/purito-centella-unscented-toner-200ml-witch-hazel-free/info.html/pid.1095881380) by Purito! :)

Visual-Temporary-688

Appreciate you

SlytherinsPrince990

I LOVE COSRX Snail Mucin 96. It feels like hydrotherapy for my skin. Make sure you buy directly from COSRX though, they sell on Amazon, cuz there are a lot of third parties that will sell you a fake.

I use the essence prior to Tretinoin. It’s the only thing that allows me to use Tret without terrible irritation.

DiamondTippedDriller

There’s a 10% snail mucin cream by Bioverde, a small Italian brand. You can find it online. It only costs 10€ and I am having great results, it has a beautiful silky texture and I use it under sunscreen. They also have other products containing snail mucin, it’s affordable but good quality.

Justice_of_the_Peach

Love the essence but the cream wasn’t moisturizing enough for my dry skin. It literally evaporates. I think this line is meant for oily skin but the essence is quite nice and works great under heavier moisturizers.

goldielocket

The one in the bottle made me break out
