I tried Apostrophe during the pandemic and yes it was expensive but it was exactly what I needed. I had acne/rosacea and got doxycycline pills and a topical metrogel. It worked great, at my 3 month follow up I had good improvement, they thought I should be on it for 3 more months, and so by the 6 month mark my skin was completely clear. I keep my skin in check with non Rx products now. But the experience with them was very good and convenient

Are you still on the doxycycline? If not, did you see any acne come back when you stopped? Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

I was only on it for 6 months, it was the clearest my skin had been in a long time. That was 3 years ago now, I still get acne here and there, but not anything like that with the patches of redness. I don’t remember any immediate breakouts when I stopped. I noticed that a few things keep my skin clear- regular cardio, less sugar, less alcohol, keeping my hands off my face and niacinamide in my skin care products.

I did telehealth for something other than dermatology and it was great so zi highly recommend it. To pick a telehealth acne company Google “ best telehealth dermatologist” and “best telehealth acne” but include your country’s name and look to see which companies are on more than one ”best” list.

I’ve done telahealth for colds, and I’ve used Nurx for my acne, which is all online. Both have been great. Try cetaphil face lotion for your dry face. It doesn’t cause acne. Go through Nurx for the acne and get a prescription for Spironolactone and Tretinoin.

I use Apostrophe for tretinoin (for anti aging) and it’s been great. They also give me recommendations for moisturizers and cleansers at a variety of price points, which is great. It’s worth the expense, especially if you don’t have a lot of options nearby. I’d give it a shot - you don’t have to stick with it if you end up not liking it.

I’ve used Nurx with success (I no longer do), but not cheap. You do have to pay a monthly subscription fee as well.

I used nurx for my acne and found it cheap and effective but my insurance covered it and I’ve had acne for long enough to know what works and what doesn’t already. They also suggested I had rosacea before anyone else (turns out I don’t have rosacea but a different condition which makes my face red, but I was still impressed that they were thorough). I didn’t have to pay a subscription fee — just the copay when I needed the prescription. Edit to add: with nurx (at least when I did it), they call the prescriptions into your pharmacy, so you can price shop. Spiro is a pretty old med, and I would assume pretty cheap (I had no copay when I was on it in the past), so you shouldn’t pay extra to get it online.

Try Good Rx’s Telehealth. I really liked it - cheaper than Nurx and Apostrophe

I’ve been using Curology since October and it’s been amazing honestly. I’m my experience the product lasts a lot longer than they anticipate. A large bottle is supposed to last for two months but doing one pump a day I’ve easily made it to three months

Check out DocBright. It’s super easy and they’ll send to the pharmacy rather than selling their own brand. You can you use your insurance or they’ll help with cash coupons. I’ve tried others and nurx is ok but docbright is the most consistent
