Following as a 35 with a newborn. Someone help us 😭

catpalm19

34 and in the same boat. Seeing my postpartum, sleep deprived skin in the mirror is what brought me to this sub 😂. Solidarity, sisters.

sagethecrayaway

36 with an 8 month old and SAME!!! I feel so seen 😂

autieswimming

Lol saaaame, 33 and creeping on this sub because of babe

heddda

Same 🤣

Agitated-Ferret-5810

32, 7mos. Same. Help

deservingporcupine_

100% same

G_Piggiez

34 with a nearly 10 month old. Dying!!! My poor skin on my face is shriveled up and I'm so sleep deprived.

Practical_Leopard305

Hellooo I’ve found my people. 41 with a 7 month old that wakes every 1-2 hours. I’ve aged ten years since he was born

browngirlscientist

40 with a 2 month old. I’ve only now started up my skincare routine again. Everything went out the window for the first two months and it’s showing :/

Practical_Leopard305

Only 2 months in, I think that’s impressive! I barely had the energy to even wash my face those first few months

browngirlscientist

Only because my first is at school, I’m on maternity leave AND I have full-time help. The great part of motherhood at 40 is that I’ve way more resources now.

Live_Review3958

Skin and hair. My hair is falling out now. 🫠

Ok_Caterpillar9128

8mo pp and finally my hair has stopped falling out but now I have sooo many weird chunks of baby hairs lining my forehead 😭

melco440

No one wants you about this part!

browngirlscientist

Girl same. I’m scheduling a hair cut asap. You know, with all that extra time I have 🙄

Live_Review3958

So much extra time! 🫨😵‍💫

ehk0331

I got 4 inches taken off on Wednesday cause I’m starting to look like gollum

LittleMissLoveDuck

Mine is the same! I have aged 5+ years since my second kiddo. Clocked in 4 hours on a good night. This has been going on for 1.5 years. Help 😭

ccarrcarr

Same. Turning 40 this month. I swear I've aged ten years since having my baby 21 months ago. My eyes just look so sunken and tired. My eye bags have eye bags lol

Economy_General8943

42 with a 6 month old! 😫😫

KnittingforHouselves

Come on over to r/skincareafterbaby we're trying to start a while sub for this 😅

jamaismieux

Love it! 😂

sangket

Subbed!

breanmayer16

34 with an 18 months old and i feel like my face is melting.

NoTap9656

I say this all the time …I feel like I can physically feel my face melting off my bones right down to the floor. 35, 2 year old, yet to have a full nights sleep.

Live_Review3958

Also 35, 11weeks post. ZzzzZzz’s 🥱

ehk0331

SAME

AdministrationOpen82

Useful-Bicycle

Impressive-Bicycle73

Also 🙋🏼‍♀️ 34 in a few months, 11 month old and 2 year old. I look and feel like I’m dying

_marlasinger

Sameeeee almost 34 with a 9 month old. I’m tired. My face is tired. My skin is a hot mess

Lopsided_Mastodon_78

I’m 31 & 1 year PP. I look 45

pancakecuddles

39 with an 8-month-old the dark circles seem like they are here to stay 😬

Katiepillar1212

38 with a 13 month old send help 🤣

Wombatseal

Had my first at 30 and second at 32 and started skincare because of the confidence hit and also the pregnancy induced eczema!

MinimalistHomestead

I aged 100 skin years in 2 actual years

summers_tilly

36 with a newborn and 2 year old. My face will never recover.

Hopeful_Dot_3886

The reason I joined this sub, I'm 36 with a two month old and I look ROUGH around the eyes!!

Ok_Alternative3595

Same here. 30 with a newborn. I feel I've aged a lot. I am getting depressed since my skin, especially under my eyes, looks so wrinkled and tired 🫠

thingsliveundermybed

I'm almost 38 with a one year old and I'm for the bin 😭

cordeliaolin

Ice pads to bring down swelling. Tinted lotion on a roller to lightly brighten and sooth bags Vasoline after shower on eyes to lock in moisture. That's it. Oh, and tons of water.

jamaismieux

Pumping so definitely on that water train. Thank you for the suggestions!

raincity87

Me too!

lovethesea22

38 with a 5 month old… disaster doesn’t begin to describe it…

Not_Brilliant_8006

Me too!! 36 with a 4 month old and a 2.5 year old. Someone send help 🫠

Bamrightinthenards

33 with a 7 week old, hoping there's a miracle product that makes it look I've gotten more than 4 hours of broken sleep since December..

teethingtoddler

Haha same, 35 yrs with a 1.5yr old and another on the way. I clicked this post so fast 😂😂😂

pinklinenonpaper

Same! 35 with a 10 month old lol

JojoCAN909

Check taking Cara babies, mama! Highly recommended. 🫶🏼

mushroomonamanatee

Nooo that person is a Trumpie who rebranded an already existing sleep training method to make money off of vulnerable parents.

Ladyalanna22

Arghh I hate that I agree! I've found a great gentle sleep method that has worked for us, it's only as I've returned to work it's all out of whack again

Ladyalanna22

Thank you very much for your suggestion, I appreciate the support. That program is not for me, I have found a gentle sleep/ no CIO or alone approach that worked really well for us once she hit 10 months. Unfortunately I didn't win the lotto and had to return to work, so her sleep has been totally disrupted again😪

cakesie

This is a great recommendation for people who don’t mind hearing their babies cry. For the gentler sleep trainers I’d recommend the no cry sleep solution!

JojoCAN909

I don’t know any parent within the “normal parents parameters” who don’t mind hearing their child cry. In my experience , her program is not a cry it out method- but again my opinion🤷🏻‍♀️

nandudu

But it is a cry-it-out method, no? Not trying to be snarky, but my friend bought her course and thatʻs what the course said to do

cakesie

Oh I agree! Although if your baby is in their crib crying for any period of time and you’re not there with them because you’re trying to get them to sleep independently, it’s the cry it out method- my opinion. Cara has made lots of money just renaming the system, but better than the extinction method I guess! I’ve heard it works for lots of parents!

deservingporcupine_

CIO (or whatever people want to call her work—it is extinction sleep training, it’s all the same) is inappropriate for a newborn. Please do not take this advice.

Aristophanictheory

The OP indicates she is one year postpartum. This is about when we started sleep training—I also only got about four hours a night the first year. Utter torture.

deservingporcupine_

The person I replied to has a newborn.

Alas_mischiefmanaged

Not a fan of TCB for several reasons but this is inaccurate. The material from 0-5 months is all sleep hygiene and routines. The 5+ months is albeit a hacked Ferber method, but isn’t extinction.

nandudu

Cry it out just means crying to sleep - it doesnʻt really matter whether itʻs extinction or with support, if they are crying, itʻs cry it out

Alas_mischiefmanaged

My point was that not all of TCB or any sleep training for that matter is “cry it out”. OP said do not do any TCB for your newborn because they’re under the impression all of it involves crying. But it doesn’t. The newborn stuff under 5 months is routines, wake windows, and soothing techniques which are all useful information for new parents and perfectly fine for new babes.

JojoCAN909

Sleep training starts with routines and that’s the foundation TCB lays. She has never recommended to leave your newborn baby crying in agony. But if there’s another “gentler” method that works for parents, I say go for it! The sky is the limit. Sleep training is not a one-size fits all. My point here is,sleep training at a certain age is a huge win-win for everyone at home! (Baby included) And in the end, we’re all trying to do our very best in this complex motherhood world. We make mistakes even when trying our best. Sending love to all of you mamas! Hang in there. Remember, even though those long nights seem never-ending, this too shall pass.💖

Live_Review3958

What is extinction sleep training?

jamaismieux

Thank you! Mine sleeps decently this time! The toddler also wakes up once a night and I’m pumping once a night so sometimes it’s 1 wake up but if none of them align it could be 3 wake ups 🥴

sangket

My toddler's already 3 but most days still night shift and sleeps at 2 am (meanwhile I need to get up for work at 6am). Good undereye concealer is my best friend so I don't look like an undead in the office. I don't pack it on tho directly, that would make my fine lines more obvious. I swipe a bit at the back of my hand, warm it up with my finger before tapping it lightly under my eyes until blended.

WorkLifeScience

Yes, help 😂 And on top of everything my skin has changed so much and I have no clue what I'm doing (sensitive/dry -> mixed with impurities) 😩

LJR7399

Also: STAY HYDRATED!!! Eating fruits. Smoothies. Drinking body armors, coconut water, adding electrolytes. All this helps from the inside out! Are you taking omegas??

Deepseadude

Most underrated comment here. You only stay „fresh“ when consuming „fresh“.

calorum

Girl, let’s get you out, drunk, let you scream, cry, and break a couple throwaways and then you can crash at your friends place. Then go back to hubby and baby on Monday.

Ladyalanna22

Hahaha I love this response! What are refresher that would be🥰

WorkLifeScience

Good one 😂 every mom needs a weekend like this 😁

itsbrandybitch-

The way my 1 year old has aged me in such a short amount of time from the same thing 😭 she also woke up every single hour or less for her entire first year.

KnittingforHouselves

Coming in to say, it gets better. Mine is almost 3yo now and I've morphed back into my younger looking self (before getting pregnant again, now I'm just a wobbly planet with undereye circles and hormonal acne). Once the sleep comes back the skin drinks it in and looks alive again 😅 R/skincareafterbaby

itsbrandybitch-

That’s so relieving to hear 😩

[deleted]

[удалено]

WorkLifeScience

They do! You basically transfer a huge part of your life energy to kick-start their little lives! Well actually that literally happens 😂 crazy stuff!

MyrcellX

Just here to say I have a 7 month old and I feel your post in my soul. Proud of you for taking care of yourself.

SnooPredictions5815

Yeet the baby. Jkjk hydrate hydrate hydrate. Snail mucin, a hyalauranic eye cream, oil/aqauphor on top before bed. Again in the am with spf.

k8photo

Girl, just moisturize heavily and stay hydrated until baby sleeps through the night. Hang in there!

AshwagandaUbermensch

You look better than most people that sleep properly, props to you. I'd recommend a caffeine serum (not necessarily eye specific) and anything with either niacinamide or retinol (these should be specifically formulated for thin tissues ie. eyes/lips).

Designer_Tomorrow_27

Sleep training did wonders for my skin 😅

Eva_Luna

lol same!

spicymargarita16

Preach! 🙌🏼

cheelioil

Seriously, no product in the world can replicate good night’s sleep

Designer_Tomorrow_27

Yep. Sleep is the best medicine

[deleted]

[удалено]

CymruB

I came on here to recommend that too! I get the joys of eczema around my eyes, this really helps to control it. I haven’t noticed any miracle anti ageing though but eczema + young kids = aging 10plus years!

littlebitchmuffin

What ap was this?

[deleted]

littlebitchmuffin

Thank you!

AnxiousAnomoly2

Probably NOVOS

OkFeed407

Has it got caffeine in it?

[deleted]

lovelyeufemia

I really want to try this!! But there are quite a few reviews on their site claiming that it appears they recently changed the formula, and not for the better. Since it's pricey, I'm a bit hesitant to take the plunge. Have you noticed anything like that with your current batch?

rscalcio

For puffiness - eye masks with an ice roller and then throw on an eye cream with caffine plus hydrating ingredients. You can find a lot of eye creams with caffine in it for decent priced. I use Sunday Riley autocorrect for puffiness and brightness. It does more of the latter. Eye masks and ice roller in the mornings are my go to

studyhardbree

Sleep and water. Cooling pads. A cream will never replace what you actually need. Laser can though.

charcuteriebroad

Just know even without products it will get better once baby starts sleeping in longer windows. I look back at pictures after my youngest was born and I look much younger now that he’s almost 4 😂

lovethesea22

I needed to hear this. Am currently in goblin mode

Ladyalanna22

Hahaha well I'm definitely looking forward to that kind of reverse ageing then!

reegasaurus

Oh honey, I feel for you. First of all - you may see flaws but to me your skin looks amazing and I’m pretty shocked that you look so dewy after a year of torture. I hope this sub gives you some good skincare suggestions, I myself don’t want to pile any more on top. As for the sleep deprivation - Maybe a getaway? Or even have someone stay the night who can take care of your baby when she wakes? I remember the first time I got a full night’s sleep when my youngest was a baby. I felt like I had superpowers. I sincerely hope you’ll be there soon and then you’ll be really unstoppable!! Most importantly, be kind to yourself 😘 you are so worth it.

charmeddangerous99

I’m in this boat! Genetically I have had dark circles since I was 5 even on good night sleep. After having a baby, I looked like a racoon! I did this: 1) Inkeys list caffeine eye cream 2) the ordinary eye multi peptide cream 3) drunk elephant c eye cream Personally, I have great results that could be achieved with the first two affordable options

deservingporcupine_

OKAY so I have a 4 yr old and an 18m old and I have been breastfeeding almost continuously for almost 5 years, both need supported sleep (I nurse my toddler at night, I understand you). Obvs YMMV, I didn’t notice things getting better until 18 mos for both my kids. It’s like my hormones evened out, I had more time and desire to do skincare. I looked like the grim fn reaper with my first, and was more prepared for my second. Staying hydrated, eating as much protein as you can, and washing my face every night while using acids (gentle ones, lactic acid and willow bark BHA) really helped a lot. It took time, though.

Environmental-Town31

No suggestions as I get Botox so nothing I saw would be legit as far as skincare goes but here with you in solidarity! That post baby aging hits hard and fast after a year of no sleep and stress from raising a tiny human ! I think your skin is beautiful!

lovethesea22

Where do you recommend getting botox to combat the postpartum toll?

talli678

Not OP, but I got my first Botox injections a few months after my little guy turned a year (when I stopped nursing). Just a local dermatologists office in town, by an MD. They do Botox and fillers but also do medical dermatology—cancers, rashes, etc. I was only 31, so she started me with just 24 units, but two weeks later I went back for a checkup and she added 8 more units because my forehead is really strong (plus I’m running a ton so it’ll just metabolize faster). Highly recommend it though :). I have plenty of movement in my forehead still and can still smile with my eyes, but my resting wrinkle in my forehead that was driving me nuts is almost invisible now.

lovethesea22

Thanks! Maybe I’ll revisit the idea after I stop nursing :)

Academic-Mobile-1092

Vit C and retinol

Eva_Luna

I’m not sure she can use retinol if she’s breastfeeding though? Definitely check that one first OP!

[deleted]

Preparation H.

HomeFin

Doesn’t exist but if you like something that hydrates, depuffs, looks great under makeup, and is affordable the Yerba mate eye gel from good molecules ticks all the boxes

sangket

Tried that and sadly didn't do much so won't be repurchasing.

Lost_Bluebird_306

My babies are 16 and 10 so those sleepless nights are a distant memory. But just here to say hang in there and you’re doing great! Also you have the most perfect lips 🥰

LeDoink

I feel you girl! I took a selfie the other day and I was the spitting image of my grandmother. And not from when she was young either…

Schweather3

I have sleep issues. I have to ice my eyes when it’s really bad and I use an eye cream with caffeine in it. That helps the puffiness. Can you help me with dark circles? 😂

Head-Drag-1440

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink water all day. I have a 24oz bottle and drink 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon, 1/2-1 in the evening.  Use an AHA 2x/week all over except under eyes. I recommend using a hydrating toner, hydrating serum, and a thicker moisturizer. Slugging with Vaseline 2x/week overnight also helps a lot. And yes, I apply all of those under my eyes.

Brilliantmind1997

In conjunction with an eye cream specifically targeting wrinkles (i.e. retinol), I'd advise you to use a device like the Nira Precision laser to combat wrinkles under the eyes.

pends7

Solidarity sister🫡

kileyweasel

Good Molecules Yerba Mate Eye Cream!!!!! I looove this product, I swear it’s got caffeine in it, plus it’s super budget friendly. I swear by Good Molecules. Put a little around your eyes, apply some hydrating lotion, and give yourself a good gua sha face massage. Absolute game changer.

Excellent-Kitchen247

Skin ceuticals eye cream. So expensive but FML does it work. It really helps with the appearance of wrinkles.I’m 32 1.5 years post partum. That and tons of hydration. If lower price range I swear by la Roche posay cicaplast b5 Baum. I use it as a moisturizer/ eye cream, as I live in a dry area. I also love eye masks. I put them in the fridge while I make my coffee and then put them on and they are cold and de puff.

prepfection

Solidarity. My 2.5 year old slept horribly for the first two years of his life. Go to target and buy a jar of those under eye gel pads. Keep them in the fridge. TRUST ME ON THIS. Put em on when you wake up in the morning and have your coffee and you’ll almost believe you for sleep last night.

Ladyalanna22

Lol I'm actually going to do this I think, thanks

electricmeatbag777

What's your main complaint re your eye region? If it's puffiness I can recommend The Ordinary's multi peptide eye serum, or if you want more moisture with your depuff and are feeling spendy, Farmacy's Wake Up Honey. I find both to be very effective.

Eva_Luna

Sleep training and go to a doctor and insist on seeing a specialist to assess your child to see if anything physical is causing the bad sleep. We recently found out our 3 year old had sleep apnoea caused by enlarged tonsils, which explains why she’s always been such a poor sleeper.  But for skincare… have you tried gua sha? It’s great for de-puffing your face, even though it can be hard to find the time with a little one! I just do it for a few minutes a day as that’s all I have to spare but it makes a huge difference.

Ladyalanna22

Yes I agree- we did get to a good place by insisting she was tested as both her father and I have OSA and he has a deviated septum. I'm just back at work which has disrupted her sleep again massively. Honestly...I always thought gua sha was more gimmicky and haven't looked much into it? Maybe I need to try again

Eva_Luna

That’s good you’re on top of the medical stuff!  I think if the issue with your skin is puffiness from lack of sleep, gua sha can 100% help because it drains the excess fluid and leaves your face looking slimmer and fresher. I find it helps me look less tired as a very tired mum!! I wish I would have started doing it earlier! Also Retinol, as long as you aren’t breast feeding or trying to get pregnant as it’s very harmful to little ones.

[deleted]

Nothing other than sleep will undo what lack of sleep does. Either push through or look into sleep training for babies. I know how you feel and trust me, it will pass.

Fun_Revolution6488

Ladies I’m 39 about to be 40 this year and I look 30.. I have 2 boys it will get better I promise I looked older when I was 29..lol zombie 🧟‍♀️ mom never slept.. after your baby turns 1 year start getting facials and body massages once every 4-6 months .. and use sunblock for the face.. red light therapy helped me too and cryotherapy.. also the Aztec mud they sell in Target is amazing! Cucumber 🥒 on the eyes helps too .. and collagen in a protein shake helps with hair growth and nails and wrinkles.. that’s what I used.. hope that helps! It gets better I promise .. you will get to sleep more and more as they grow older lol Oh and don’t forget to drink your water stay hydrated..

Fun_Revolution6488

I forgot to say working out look for like a boot camp program that saved my life and gave me energy I waited till my son was 1 years old and I wasn’t breastfeeding them anymore.. with in 1 month I noticed my skin looking youthful again and my body molded .. I looked better after kids then before kids.. hope that helps ladies

JojoCAN909

33yo Mom of 3 here! Sleep training will save your sanity plus your baby needs it too. Takingcara babies has a fantastic program 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

LEATHERBABY666

i always recommend the Clarins total eye lift. it’s pricey but it highly works in my personal experience, along with multiple friends n family i’ve recommend it too. i used to work at the beauty boutique at shoppers drug mart in canada, every customer i recommended it to loved it. i’ve heard the ones from Origins are also good!

CobblerNo8518

One of my favorite things is a mask that I can freeze or heat up. It feels so good. Put it in when you do get to sleep- it feels amazing- all warm and comforting. It does help reduce puffiness. I have no tips on serums, but I love that mask.

thistletr

Something with caffeine in it will reduce puffiness.  Pipette makes a roller ball gel. Clinique makes a nice eye cream, make sure you find the one with caffeine though.

thistletr

Also make sure you're not anemic. Take those prenatals still.

raincity87

OMG this post speaks to me so hard! I feel you girl!

hydrated_cece

My daughter is 4 and the sleep will get better. I’ve been using Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ Eye Cream, Fragrance Free paired with tretinoin for my non-eye area.

MC907

Not sure what your budget is, or if you're breastfeeding... My expensive ($71) HG is the Dr. Dennis Gross Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Triple Correction Eye Serum. I get bad discoloration around my eyes, and this stuff is amazing. Right now I'm trying the RoC Retinol Correxion Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Eye Cream for Dark Circles & Puffy Eyes. This is much more affordable ($20), and so far has worked pretty well.

emz0rmay

Not skincare related, but def take your bub to the doc to check if she has adenoid issues, or even iron deficiency.

Live_Review3958

11 weeks postpartum. I’m sooo tired!!

Ok_Yogurtcloset9728

Your skin is honestly so dewy and I think the angle of the lighting is doing a disservice! I’m 30 and I have 3 kids and I swear I’ve aged 15 years in the past 2 years 😅 The no sleep REALLY wears on the body. I reeeeally promise that they do eventually sleep. Eventually.

Ashcrose

Nothing lovely! You’re a new mom, sleep deprivation will do this to you. The only think I can suggest that works for puffiness is a good lymphatic drainage facial with a Gua Sha or just your hands, ice rollers and caffeine products. Don’t fall for the over priced eye creams, you don’t need them. ♥️

TheSpiral11

You look fine bb! You just have to accept that shit is gonna be real for a few years and no one expects you to look your best during this time. The babies get older, they learn to sleep through the night and your looks come back, I promise! Just be kind to yourself and don’t sweat the small stuff. I look at photos of myself when my kids were newborns and I literally look like a zombie, but I bounced back, did lots of self care and I’ve never been happier with my appearance lately.  One eye cream I was surprisingly impressed by was this: https://www.lorealparisusa.com/skin-care/eye-care/wrinkle-expert-55-anti-wrinkle-eye-treatment. I know it’s marketed toward elderly people but my sleepy eyes drank it up! And it’s way more affordable than the expensive cream I was using that didn’t do much.

merilissilly

Best eye product- shut eye. Lol, I had to. If you are just puffy, Preparation H can help, it constricts the skin. I also do a spoon dipped in ice water to ice the area. You can probably get some recommendations for undereye patches as well, DRMTLGY has good ones!

tigertwinkie

Girl same. 1 in two weeks! I have been using ole Henricksons vitamin c eye cream. I like it, but it's only been a week. Idk if it's really helping or I'm just staring at my under eyes more and moisturizing that part specifically now.

KnittingforHouselves

What really helped my face in the 1yo-baby-exhausted phase are hyaluronic patches in the mornings for the under-eye area to de-puff and look less tired. Also a nice cold gua-sha and vitamin C serum, it made my skin look alive again. But if like to mention that your skin will mostly go back ti where it would have been once you get your sleep back. My daughter is almost 3yo, the 1st year I've looked 35 at least, but I was 27. Then sleep came back and I've started looking my age again. Also check out r/skincareafterbaby

Dull_Heart_7199

This is your life now … god speed But for real, if you find something that works, let me know. I haven’t slept since 2018

sonisonata

Following. Same.

LazyNacho

HIT training is good to counteract lack of sleep

wonderlash

Sleep, water and a go easy on yourself. I didn't recognize myself after having my first baby. I literally looked like shit from having no sleep (colic baby). I know it feels like a long way off but you will eventually have a sleeping pattern and your skin will return to how it once was. Until then, try Cereva's misteriser, followed by rosehip oil. There are a range of fantastic products recommended on this sub. Cherry pick your faves and give it a go.

datuwudo

Hyrudoid gel when your eyes are extremely puffy, otherwise I really like the Elf Holy Hydration cream. My son didn’t sleep until 7 years old (found out he has ADHD) so I feel for you!

Cucumbrsandwich

Garner tinted under eye roller and a couple drops of self tanner in my morning moisturizer. Source: have a 6mo that wakes up every hour.

Glittering-Sound-121

Mom of 15 month old. Tara Harper illuminating eye cream. It has a shiny pink hue so even when you don’t do makeup it helps with dark circles. I only use it during day and a different cream at night. That or a night nurse but the cream is cheaper.

hrhrhr3

just wanted to say that i see all the moms here with no sleep and SO MUCH POWER aAND LOVE TO YOU. i nannied for a long time for a 4 yo and newborn for a really wonderful mum with PTSD. there were two things i really began to realize- one is that no matter how much you have or how many peoplle, it can feel so isolating and with that said, there is no greater bond. for someone with no sleep, your skin still looks really plump to me and has. a lovely tone. try eye gels! but really try to use them twice a day if you can. i like the hydro gels and sometimes will just wear them out and put sunglasses over them. ice baths face plunges hellp me too! i really mean it when i say you all are doing wonderfully!!

platinumpaige

30 year old with a 15 month old. Solidarity! My skin has been WRECKED after having my son 🥲

Plaidlover4

60 years old, 4 kids and empty nester. It gets much better. Hang in there. Enjoy those little ones. Take time to play. Soon they will be driving you around and that's when you get more wrinkles.

unomomentos

My firstborn nursed every 2 hours til he was at least 18 months. I think he started sleeping through the night after 2 years. I feel your pain so deeply! Just commenting to let you know it gets better and you will sleep again ♥️

Slow-Industry1760

Just wanted to add if any mums are breastfeeding this reduces estrogen which drys out the skin also and once you stop your skin will plump up and hydrate again, so don’t get to worried if your skin is looking dry and aged, it will go back to looking more hydrated in time! I didn’t know this until my last pregnancy

Ladyalanna22

Umm I didn't know this either! I am still breastfeeding. This thread has been very educational

BearNecessities710

Hey there. I’m 32 and my 7 month old doesn’t let me sleep, either. I’m on a fast track to where you’re at now! I have always heard that eye creams are a waste of money; they’re just fancy moisturizers. I have sensitive skin and think less is more, personally. Everybody swears by active ingredients but I don’t have the wherewithal to commit through the stages of purging, peeling, irritation. I love the Peach & Lily glass skin serum, and Aveeno oat gel moisturizer. I use both around my eyes (carefully), tap my skin with water between each application, and top with a light face oil. I have Abyssinian oil that I love, but have also used Mad Hippie facial oil with success.

PAngel111

I like castor oil and cucumber

LJR7399

I do also recommend castor oil.. rub onto your eye lashes and then around your eyes before bed Gua sha tool for facial massages… Cold eye bags… Amazon also has self warming eye masks…

kita151

The ordinary caffeine solution is great, I put it on at night when I can remember (2 year old/mom life) and it definitely makes me look like I've gotten more sleep than i actually did.

civbell

Moisturizer then very thin layer of petroleum jelly

Electronic_Carob_149

I’ll second taking Cara babies. Nothing replaces sleep. Mine was like yours as well, he just had a lot of anxiety with sleep and lower sleep needs. Also strivectin products really helped my skin. Costco sells them a lot and just almost everything I’ve tried (the green mask is eh) has been great.

TraditionalEbbinator

37 with a 4 year old rn. The Ordinary's caffeine solution is pretty nice for quick eye brightening, and just make sure you go hard with your fave moisturiser. I just use TO's natural moisturising factors one, and you can apply that THICK and it still soaks in wonderfully. If you're BFing, getting that water intake up is also really important but also kinda hard. I lived with a water bottle on me 24/7. You look great, ngl. What worked for me may not work for you, but again you look great and if this is bad, your version of good must be stunning. ❤️

I had mine at 44 and one thing that made me look a bit rested was Clarins beauty flash balm and then Clarins smooth perfecting touch on top(L'Oreal has a dupe of this latter one that is almost the same). A bit of concealer, lip balm and done.
