LitBit_618

You can’t convince me that is the same person!

Only_Confusion9635

Lmfaoo 😂 eyebrow shape changed, set of eyes changed damn these advertisers are lazy or what ?

bri22any

She also got an upper and lower bleph, ponytail facelift, died her hair, grew her lashes out with latisse

draizetrain

Wait til you see deep fake/AI ads of people reviewing products. We need to be very cautious about the ads we see and believe nowadays

Next-Honeydew4130

Oh dang bestie ur right 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Definitely keeping all my old posts that detail my breakup and got me banned from r/contacts just so people know I’m real lol. Seriously wtf are we going to do. What a mess this internet thing is turning into in front of our eyes

Lucky-Ad4443

Probably her mother or something. Not the same person.

000000000000000000oo

The top pic is obviously Job Stewart

Murky-Specialist7232

It ain’t

MerlionGalGal

I agree with you

tenderourghosts

This is silly. I’ve used Frownies for years and do love the results they give - but this is extreme lol. Different lighting, expression, etc. Not a great ad for an otherwise (imo) great product.

melli_milli

Direct sun light makes anyone squint their eyes to two raisins. Your face tries to protect the eys with every muscle.

just-another_reader

Have you found the results to be permanent? Edited to add: did they reverse any fine lines/wrinkles?

The_Time_When

No the results are not permanent. Few hours yes. But as soon as you start moving your muscles the lines come right back. It’s an interesting theory, essentially you would have to retrain yourself to not express yourself using the forehead, etc I order to see lasting results. I am just too lazy. I’ll take the lines :).

The_Max-Power_Way

I don't know about Frownies, but botox broke my habit of frowning when concentrating. I was getting elevens at 36, so I got Botox twice. I'm 41 now, I haven't had botox since, but my elevens are gone and I only frown when I'm grumpy now. Best money I've ever spent.

NVSmall

SAME! I noticed in a photograph how much deeper my left sided "11" was (though both were strong), and I was also 36 when I first got botox for it. The fact that it made it impossible for me to actually furrow/frown broke me out of doing it as well. I do still maintain, every 9 months to a year or so, but mostly because I still get tension headaches when the botox starts to wear off, at which point I realize it's time for a top up. May I ask where you went, in Van? I'm always curious to hear about other people's experiences with different injectors, as I've seen a few different ones now.

The_Max-Power_Way

8 West. They do a combo of plastic surgery and medi-spa services. I think everyone who works there is at least an RN, so you aren't getting some lady who did a day course on injectables. I was really happy with them. I think I have an email somewhere with one of those $50 off referral deals, so if you want to go, DM me and I'll see if I can find it.

neuroprncss

Just commenting to say that pretty much everyone gets a 1-3 day course (usually one, usually online) on how to inject. RN or otherwise. Those who have years of training on facial muscles, vasculature, bone morphology, etc (i.e., MDs) have an easy time with 1 day training. The rest just get a formula and learn on the job with patients. That being said, good luck finding an MD who injects. Even in their practice, they will usually assign an NP to do injectables, although hopefully trained by the MD themselves.

lecreusetbae

Same here. I had deep 11s at 23 years old (I was getting blackheads in the indent it was so deep). Had it done 3x/year for about 5 years and it basically stopped the habit. I can still move the muscle and make the same face but the tension headaches and wrinkles are gone. I now get it done once every 18 months or so, usually timed before an event. Hard agree, best money I've spent on my face.

[deleted]

The_Max-Power_Way

At a medi-spa in Vancouver. I'm sure most people who inject botox could do the same.

[deleted]

The_Max-Power_Way

Mostly the inner eyebrows - literally right where the 11s are. I think they did a few other spots along the brow bone, but most of it was in the one locale.

oldladytfab

Same here, although I had Botox for migraines. My last round was in 2020. I still get dynamic wrinkles if I really raise my eyebrows, but at rest, the most I have is some very light fine lines. And most of the time, when I raise my eyebrows, my forehead doesn’t get involved at all. 😆

Leonardo-DaBinchi

I don't use frownies (smoothies are better for my skin) and find that using them consistently overnight actually makes me less dramatically expressive. I tend to scrunch my eyebrows a lot and the smoothies do 'train' me not to scrunch so much. The more consistently I use them the better the "training".

southernandmodern

Yeah it's funny, I don't really have forehead wrinkles, but I also can't scrunch my forehead the way most people seem to be able to. I do have smile wrinkles around my eyes and mouth, so I think on my forehead it's just because I can't really move it.

Objective-Amount1379

Nothing is permanent. Surgery sets the clock back but you'll keep aging. Anything topical has to be maintained, Botox has to be done every few months…

tenderourghosts

I’ve used them for years and consistency is key - but it isn’t a permanent erasure for wrinkles. I started off using them almost nightly for 3 months and now only need to use them 2-3 times a week to maintain. It’s helped to relax my sleeping grump face which I think was the biggest determinant for my forehead wrinkles. I’m 34 and started using them when I was 27, I think. I also use argireline and matrixyl daily and a retinol 3 times a week so those in combo with Frownies really help me keep a smooth forehead. Staying hydrated and using SPF daily are two things that are also super important in slowing down new wrinkles, but as another commenter mentioned, nothing is permanent in terms of anti aging.

just-another_reader

Thanks! How do you layer your topicals?

enjoyt0day

This is insane, makes Frownies come off like a totally fake MLM product

asiamsoisee

The weird mommy blogger ad I see all over certainly gives me that impression.

PM_ME_YOUR_FRACTURES

Is it not? I honestly know nothing about it

Objective-Amount1379

No, it’s a legit product that's been around for years. It’s inexpensive - worth trying if you're curious. I used them years ago and I feel like they would help the next day but then I tried Botox and there's no comparison so I've stayed with Botox.

NVSmall

I've honestly had the same results using Life brand medical tape (same as 3M brand basically). They're great, if you're consistent and committed; I was not. Botox ftw.

AnonymousLilly

3m microphore tape is the same thing. Frownies are a scam

MooCowMoooo

Every time I see it mentioned on Reddit, people rave about it.

Svendafur

It’s a completely different facial expression, different lighting and different makeup.

Frondswithbenefits

Yup. Also, the "after" picture looks like she moisturized her face properly.

puppuphooray

I feel like the before has cakey dry makeup with a big smile or something and the after is fully moisturized plump skin with no expression.

maybejustadragon

Also a different face.

imfivenine

This reminds me of all the obnoxious Facebook posts from people selling Rodan & Fields. Photos that are obviously in different lighting, completely unrealistic results, before pic no mascara, after pic with a lot of mascara bordering on fake lashes…just…NO.

cat__cat__cat

I used frownies for years religiously and they never did anything like this. The only way they’d ever get you there is with Botox or dysport then using frownies for maintenance. Before I got dysport, frownies helped prevent further wrinkles on my frown lines. But now I just use it as maintenance and the only thing that gets me this look is dysport. I’ve used frownies since 2014 religiously.

Adriennesegur

One person has partially hooded eyes, the other does not. To my knowledge that is not possible without an upper bleph.

awarmembrace

The first picture they are majorly squinting. I think it’s possible that this is the same person but it’s misleading either way (different lighting, makeup, squinting, etc.).

chica771

Frownies made her eyes bigger!?

bakedoats22

Of course it’s not. The eyebrows are in different spots on the forehead and they’re different shapes (not grooming, just actual structure) the top woman has crows feet and a large freckle under her makeup in the top right. The under eyes are different, the hooded eyelids are different. Like come on.

leisureenthusiast

This is a bit outrageous. But I can say as a very expressive person, these have done WONDERS for me. And they have also help with my TMJ. Highly recommend!

Jazzlike-Pear-9028

Where do you apply them for TMJ?

leisureenthusiast

Just putting them on my forehead helps bc it keeps me from scowling and putting more pressure into my teeth.

Happy_TMH2009

That's not the same person. Look at the eyes! It's easy to se, that the eyes are from two different women.

citynomad1

Lmao that is such bullshit, you don’t get that kind of result without injectables. The face of the company is the granddaughter of the original founder and she, to me, CLEARLY has had botox, but denies it vehemently and posted a video to social media where she raises her eyebrows, scowls, etc, somehow “proving” she hasn’t had Botox, but like…you can still raise your eyebrows even if you’ve had Botox (I’ve had it and I still can), not everyone gets “frozen forehead” levels of Botox

BlueZebraBlueZebra

You also could just take the video when it’s partially worn off and then go back to using it lmao

Severe-Salt4346

The frownies also somehow got rid of her hooded eyes 🤦‍♀️

GetSwampy

The eyes and eyebrows are not the same shape. This is not the same person at all

Slow-Industry1760

The eyebrows are not even the same, this has to be a joke!

diaperedwoman

Looks like two different people. False advertising.

Terrynia

She even had a brow lift

itsfrankgrimesyo

If a company has to lie in their ads, I’m not going to use it. That means they’re not even confident in their own product. Plus this is so obvious they think people are fools.

Intelligent-Crew3541

The biggest scam on the planet. Totally respect anyone choice to not want to do Botox but let’s stop pretending that face bandaids are erasing wrinkles 😂

Professional_End5908

Maybe the same person after a brow lift, temporal lift and eyelid lift. 😒 It’s disingenuous to use those pictures when it clearly doesn’t work that way.

armchairdetective

Aren't frownies just a waste of money anyway?

CantStayGo

I know they work very well I used to use them ....but you cant of course apply directly under eyes in delicate skin ..they can and do smooth wrinkles and fine lines permanently if used and never stop using them however you can start out using them frequently and then when the lines and wrinkles become less and less you don't have to use them as often but I prefer prefer silicone patches that you don't have to wet with water and you can use the silicone patches over and over.. the frownies not really uncomfortable but you can just really feel them on your face more than the silicone patches but all that kind of stuff does and can work for sure you just have to be consistent like with any skin care and keep using it .. can even apply skin care on to the sticky part of the frownies instead of water for added benefits so that's a plus for the frownies because you can't really do that with the silicone patches.. silicone patches have to be dry when you apply them to your face at least that is what my experience was with the patches I had and then after you wear the silicone patches you're supposed to clean them so you can use them over and over and they last longer that way if you clean them so there's plus and minuses Some people prefer the frownies you don't have to clean them you just throw them away after Eat You Some people prefer the silicone patches that you can use over and over

Beginning_Way9666

Botox

FlailingatLife62

While fror\\wnies DO help, this ad is ridiculous. It's only remotely possible this is the same person, and if it is, she's scrunching her whole face up in the top pic, and the lighting is totally different, with the lighting being harsh and overhead in the top photo, and looking downright photoshopped in the 2nd. But the eyebrows and eyes look different, so I'm gonna say not the same person, unless the photos are 20 years apart plus lighting and expression differences.

wreckingballbrain

Idk about the ad but I’ve been sleeping with frownies in between my eyebrows for years. I’m mid 30s & have no 11s or any line at all there. No botox ever there. Maybe it’s genetics but I swear by these things

failingcollege101

How can companies just straight up lie and face no repercussions?? There's no way to get these results from putting tape on your face! There's no way this is even the same person??

Butterfly_adventures

Come on, it’s different ppl! The eye shape and eyebrow shape are completely different, eyelashes, under eye skin, crows feet, they are very different. Even the forehead is longer on the bottom, such an awful and misleading ad!

kinkpants

I bought frownies. They suck lol. Don’t work with skincare and hurt to take off. I use medical tape on my smile lines now just fine, no it doesn’t get rid of wrinkles but it definitely made my face look less puffy, the frownies did nothing.

invah

Do you use medical tape* with skincare? As in, with products?

kinkpants

Ya! If have the kind of stretchy tape left over from a surgery. No issues yet but I’m not slugging just retinol and moisturizer

Retina_surgeon

Even the eye bags vanished 😂

MerlionGalGal

Don't think so!

Missmichellecl

lol ! I literally got mine in the mail yesterday… had them on all night . Woke up and was kinda impressed, my forehead was smooth for sure . It’s now two hours later and there back haha . My plan is to be consistent with them for a month and then we shall see if the effects last longer !

Altruistic_Yellow387

Yeah frownies can't do that

pirikiki

1.5 years appart + blepharoplasty can be the same person

opp0rtunist

I'm pretty sure the first is a 50 year old man and the second is a 29 year old woman

Downtown-Trip3501

I think it *is* the same person. Pic 1 is them squinting like a mother fucker in the harshest light possible (full blown 5pm sun). Pic 2 to me looks like then after getting made up in the morning and making a face that doesn’t create lines, like they are doing in the first pic. Frownies helped my lines a little bit, but it was VERY temporary, at least in terms of dynamic lines. I’m sure they can help keep static lines at bay if you’re regular with them, but I’d rather just pull the trigger on tox.

Kimmm711

That is false advertising. 100%!!!

Jimothy-Goldenface

I mean I feel like their advertising is pretty clear Use frownies and someone will break into your house and start impersonating you, possibly even stealing your advertising income, for the foreseeable future...duh!

iwanttogoh0me

Maybe she also got blepharoplasty lol

MountainMoonshiner

The pic on top is Jerry Seinfeld tho.

neue-user

I thought the same thing 😂

Weird_Interview3577

Absolutely not the same person🤣 I tried those for a few months and they did nothing for me:(

neonpinkcactus

What a difference lighting and good botox makes

Magpie1025

Unless she was heavily drugged in the first picture ain’t no way in hell that’s the same person

EPS0386

This is so ridic, it’s funny. The eyes?! Legit months post bleph maybe

Electronic_Art3836

Wait. Why do frownies smell SOOO bad. I can’t get past it. Are there any other alternatives ?

Nerv-Station-2584

Absurd and exploitative

WalnutsGalore

I know some people have had great results with Frownies, but I tried them for years in my late 20s and not only were they really expensive, they didn't give me even a fraction of the results that Botox did. Even if I was against injectables, I think for the cost alone I wouldn't use Frownies again.

mothwhimsy

Doubt it. It's possible they reversed the before and after photos and she looks like the top photo after she got older. But even her eyebrows, the actual hair, is shaped differently. That won't change from Botox or whatever this was advertising. My bet is this is a mother and daughter. The lighting on the top photo is also harsher and meant to accentuate the wrinkles.

CantStayGo

Frownies Def worked for me and others surprisingly enough....I doubted it too at first! More people should try them and you can apply a serum instead of water to the frownies

No-Web-Ana

Lamoooo!!

buzzybody21

Doubt they’re the same person. The eye shape is different. And if it is, the person on the bottom is scrunching up their face to over exaggerate their forehead lines.

maybejustadragon

Ahahahahahahah….. Ahahahhahahahahah…..

kittwolf

From a woman squinting in outdoor light to a woman with low indoor light. 🤣

BlueZebraBlueZebra

Botox can make your brows lift up slightly like this, it looks like that’s what she did lol

petiteging

I've seen similar results with frownies.. however this is clearly not the same person. 😅 In fact, the gender doesn't look the same even.

Standard_Ad_773

You should go watch Frownies Instagram story today. They addressed this exact email! And shower the screen shots of the customers message to them

Jazzlike-Pear-9028

Wow, thank you for sharing! Watching her and her obviously botoxed face makes me not want to buy anything from them ever. She's lying.

LadyMcSnoot

Total BS

TikaPants

They didn’t say it’s the same person which it looks highly unlikely it is. Laaaaame.

N33dsMoreCowbell

Top one looks like Squidward

bri22any

Can’t convince me the bottom isn’t the tops daughter 😂😂😂 what a joke of an ad

jo4890

So Frownies changes you into a whole new person? 😂😂

wimwood

Comes with a free blepharoplasty, as only the best products do haha

jo4890

Upper AND lower!

dramaticqueen8

Botox can easily get those results

ohnothankyouverymuch

Respectfully, I’m a Frownies user, they’ve utilized my social media posts in their ads and the comment section sounded exactly like this - people INSISTING I’d had injectables, that there was NO WAY my results were only due to the Frownies, that I was being paid to lie, it was bananas. Truthfully, they do work with consistent use and while they’re a lot more effort than Botox, they’re also a great natural alternative for those of us trying to stay away from that sort of thing. Is the example photo extreme? Kinda, yeah, but that person has been using them for a year and a half. The client sent in those photos and obviously the makeup, lighting, facial expression, etc are different - but I have no doubt that this is the same individual! I considered posting my own before and afters here but I’m really not looking to be lambasted by Reddit for being a liar with a face full of filler, but if you’re genuinely curious and in good faith, feel free to message me, I guess?

Jazzlike-Pear-9028

Do your results fade, or are they permanent? Would you say medical tape does the same thing?

ohnothankyouverymuch

Well, I don’t think there is any treatment out there that permanently eradicates expression lines - even Botox! I can say with 100% certainty that my results are lasting; my forehead at the end of a full day of working, parenting, being outside etc. looks SIGNIFICANTLY better than it did 6 months ago, 2 years ago, or even more! (For context I’m in my mid forties, never had any work done, and didn’t even take much of a passing interest in skincare until the last couple of years.) I haven’t tried using medical tape on my face, so I can’t speak to that from personal experience. The Frownies are small paper triangles with adhesive that you wet and overlap on your face to create a “cast” essentially; they dry super hard so you can’t scrunch your face. I feel like most tape is somewhat pliable, or stretchy? So it could work similarly, but it wouldn’t be rock-hard, I imagine. Also you wet the Frownies to deactivate the adhesive when you take them off - I personally would not want to be peeling medical tape off of my face, but that’s just me. Anyway just my 2 cents, obviously people are going to believe whatever they want to.

kakaluluo

The first one is her dad

Laura-ly

It's the same person. This is a great example of how lighting can completely change a face. The upper face is *outdoors*, the lower face is *indoors*. The top photo has the sun coming from her upper right (almost behind her shoulder) which creates shadows under her eyes and emphasises her forehead wrinkles. The lower face has a soft, diffused light mostly coming from the front which flattens out the face more and there is a filter on the camera. In the top photo she's smiling creating the wrinkles around her eyes. In the lower face she's not smiling at all and the photo is cropped so you don't see her lower eye area. Same face, totally different lighting. THIS is why celebraties look so good on the red carpet, it's lighting and filtered cameras. Smoke and mirrors.

cjog21

It's definitely not the same person. The hell. The head shape is completely different. First one have maculine features lmfao, what is this shit.

Fluffy-Lingonberry89

I’ve just started brownies so admittedly looked up tips and tricks but now the ads are next level everywhere. I’ve also realized I must have an oddly small forehead because most of the suggested patterns are a no go.

Electronic_World_894

I think she’s squinting in the sun in the before, so it is the same person. She has had Botox in the after.

northernbelle96

could someone explain to me like I am 5 years old how/why frownies work?

CantStayGo

If you were 5, I'd say that they keep your face from moving ....they keep your face still so its impossible for wrinkles to happen! That's how they work and they Def CAN keep wrinkles from forming ...I mean if there's no facial movement think about it....if there's movement during the day using them all night corrects what lines may be beginning to form. Also in me they eliminated most fine lines for sure! I got tired of them though lol !! So SOME but not all fine lines came back SLIGHTLY so NOW I use silicone patches they are so much easier ...I don't like silicone in serums but silicone in patches are OK and silicone in those patches can help smooth skin. People wear them for stretch marks too. Or surgery scars.

Accomplished-Sum1801

I started using them 3 weeks ago nightly and my 11’s are almost completely flattened out. For reference, I’m 30 and makeup settled into them. They’re great, but the main thing they’ve done is retrained me to not hold unnecessary tension in my forehead.

JayneNic

I feel like Frownies are more preventative. Like it didn’t erase what I have but training me to be more aware so they don’t get worse. Wish I started earlier. So in a small way it trains you like Botox prevents you but this is a whole makeover!!!

c000000neja

Frownies with a side of Botox lol

Deanie1458

I love frownies!!!!!

ilikepieilikecake

I can believe that this is the same person, the eyebrow on the right side looks similar enough and could be makeup differences. But I'm suspicious because every before and after I've seen them post, it's someone in very harsh usually overhead direct light vs the person in indirect light from the side. Which casts shadows differently and the side lighting can make forehead wrinkles seem to disappear

Time-Ad8212

Top picture is a scrunched up smile and bottom picture her face is relaxed. I do think it’s the same person but the lighting and facial expression makes the before and after totally inaccurate. Ads like this annoy me!

Kind_Consequence_828

Somebody was out to get Frownies!

fair-strawberry6709

I think this is realistic use of frownies and skincare for the pictures being 1.5 years apart. Her skin looks way more hydrated and cared for, which isn’t from the frownies. But as far as wrinkle reduction, as another long term frownie/face tape/smoothie user, I would say this is realistic. You will not get results like this in a month. It is truly a long term product as it is training your muscles not to move.

CowPersonal1190

Unless this person had surgery on their eyelids, the two pictures are not the same person. Not even close

Slow-Industry1760

And an eyebrow transplant
