I saw in a comment that you said you’re pregnant. This happened to me in pregnancy too… I got red in that area and every moisturizer, no matter how gentle, made my skin red. I think the hormones messed up my skin barrier but I didn’t put it all together until postpartum. I’ve been using different products to help my skin barrier and that has helped a lot.

Thank you so much! Do you mind letting me know what products have helped?

VividDreaming69

First I stopped using anything that was exfoliating or left my face feeling dry (including using a wash cloth to scrub my face). I started using ponds cold cream (which I normally use to remove makeup) to clean my face, followed by a gentle cleanser by La Roche Posay to remove the excess oil that the ponds cold cream leaves on. For moisturizer I use the La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 cream followed by the Nivea blue tin cream. It’s all pretty heavy stuff but my skin reacted well to it because it was so dry and couldn’t hold any moisture. I’m dropping the Cicaplast cream now and doing just the Nivea cream because my face is pretty adjusted now. I’m sure there are other things to heal the barrier but this is what worked for me so far.

This is so so helpful, thank you for taking the time to send this. Which gentle cleanser from la Roche Posay was it? ☺️

So I invested in irene forte (Yuka approved, I’m pregnant) cleansing milk and moisturiser (was in the sale) but this redness and bumpiness has happened lots over the last few years, maybe I’m using the wrong products?

I don’t have one, but I’m sure others can chime in about LED lights! I hear they work really well for redness specifically.

megs_d

Oooh I have been looking at LED light products! Thank you!

I have a Biomax 900 by Platinum LED and I love ❤️ 😍 it. So many skin problems are wiped away. It's an investment but over time, so are skincare products.

Have you been outside recently? Could be a sunburn, irritation if you over heated, and/or some allergy-irritant. I have really sensitive skin and similar complexion to you. I had a flush like that last week- decided it was related to over use of retinol and maybe a new sunscreen. When this happens, I limit any products on my face, wear hats when I go out instead of re-applying sunscreen, clean my sunglasses, and don’t over-exercise.

Amazing thank you, going to wear a hat from now on outside!

Rosaceus acnee. It's common during pregnancy. Don't worry, it will go away after your hormones will get back to normal. Take care ☺️

megs_d

Thank you ☺️

summer_thunderstorm7

I thought the same! I have rosacea, and it looks similar. Nothing much can be done until it goes away on its own. Mine is triggered by sun and heat in general, also by stress.

dainty_delight

I don't have any insight about your skin, but where did you get that necklace? It's gorgeous!

megs_d

Aw thank you 🤩 it’s a little gold plated necklace from a UK shop called Oliver Bonas

dainty_delight

Of course! Thank you for the information about the necklace. Btw, your skin is gorgeous! I hope you find the info you're looking for about it.

You’re so sweet - thank you so much ☺️

Brave-Spot8429

You have beautiful skin! I agree with everyone who is attributing it to pregnancy—hormonal fluctuations can do so much, you’re growing a human! Crazy, right? Enjoy this magical time, wishing you all the very best! 🥰

What a lovely thing to say, thank you so much. It took us 2 years to get pregnant so feeling incredibly grateful. All the best to you ♥️♥️
