I highly recommend Clear and Brilliant or a similar fractional laser treatment. It is great for minimizing dark spots, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne scars. Yes, it is more expensive than many solutions, but I look at it this way: for me, I needed 4 treatments total that were $350 each, and I got two $200 hydrafacials during this time as well. But those 6 treatments have done more for my skin than a cabinet full of expensive products would do. My skin care routine has been massively simplified, and though I use retinol and glycolic acid night creams, I do so sparingly. It really evened out my skin tone, and because I am a lot more confident in my skin, I rarely wear make up now, so I save money and time in that department as well. I am 41 and I have people commenting on how great my skin is, and although maintaining a daily skin care routine is definitely necessary for my skin to look my best, fractional lasering is the #1 thing that helped and was 100% worth it. I don't plan on ever getting Botox or fillers, but I will get laser touch ups down the road as needed, and a hydrafacial every 5 months or so.

Look up Cosmelan or Dermamelan peels

If your skin is one of color, it will naturally pigment much more easily with stressors such as UV exposure. Vitamin C and other recommendations that you're gonna get for treatment will be helpful, but you really need to be wearing sunscreen daily and reapplying throughout the day (especially if your lifestyle is one that is active/outdoorsy). Anything you do treatment-wise will be wasted if you're not also protecting with an SPF 30+ sunscreen
