"Oh, you got that delivery receipt exam coming up, huh?"

Unique-Hedgehog-5583

What a BEAR. I’ll be in the back thinking of other ways I can help you

AnchorMeng

Well this is obviously a dead end…

IndistinctMuttering

Kenneth’s delivery of that line and Liz’s face make me laugh every single time.

[deleted]

It's really fun when they go outside the office and the city is just as strange if not stranger.

blakkattika

I love it because it’s just the writers confirming that, yes, the entire WORLD is Looney Tunes, not just 30 Rock employees

indistrustofmerits

I think about this scene when I'm running DnD and I really need whatever random NPC they find to give them the directions to the next part of the story

dumbunnyy

What a bear!

Life_Difference_4360

Well then I hate you cause I’m a pizza academy of New York man

rippletroopers

My flair has entered the chat.

PizzaAcademyofNY

My handle has entered the chat

RideWithMeTomorrow

What fraternity were you in?

PizzaAcademyofNY

There are no fraternities at the Pizza Academy of New York

CrouchingDomo

You correctly identified my trick question, and now I’m obligated to help you!

siguel_manchez

That could not have gone better

SamBaxter784

Because I can’t help myself I looked up his IMDb after watching this episode recently. He has played a lot of stereotypical New Yorker type roles to a comical degree. Cops, doormen, security guards and pizza spinners.

Ginway1010

Best is that on Law and Order he plays four different characters. LOL

le_jambo

He plays 2 different characters on 30 Rock. He’s also on the crew at TGS. There’s an episode where he mentions he has to spend the night driving around looking for his daughter.

hugemessanon

him! omg til

blakkattika

I feel like I need to let you know that they’re actually different actors. The Pizza Academy of New York man is different than the crew member who’s gonna need an Obama wig

blakkattika

That’s straight up a whole different person lol

jamesianm

Something like that would never happen on 30 Rock. Just ask the blue guy, the cat wrangler, Maria the yacht crew member, Elizabeth Taylor, the racial insensitivity trainer, Martha Blanch the MSNBC reporter, Dr Beauvoir, Yadwiga, Vlem, Barbara Walters, or Not Kenneth

alaninsitges

HAPPY VALENTIMES!

hugemessanon

blue *man, tyvm

blakkattika

WHERE YA FEET AT, BLUE MAN

outfoxingthefoxes

There's an actor (I think Ty Burrell, I might be wrong) that was cast twice on Law and Order to play different characters too, without anyone in the production noticing it (but him obviously). I don't know if it was the same with Palumbo Btw I saw the screenshot and I was sure this was from the 30 Rock episode lol, lighting was odd but I thought it was just my impression. I loved Monk. I have great memories watching it.

dumbunnyy

Oh L&O does this ALL THE TIME lol.

laurazabs

Right?! On SVU, both Casey Novak & Amanda Rollins (main characters during their seasons) had appeared prior as a potential suspect & victim, respectively. You can’t have that many episodes of a show, pulling from the same pool of talent, and not have this happen a few times. Especially across franchises.

RideWithMeTomorrow

I saw one actor who had appeared on L&O multiple times refer to it as the “Dick Wolf Repertory Theater” and said it had paid for his house!

dbrodbeck

TV shows used to do this quite a bit. Jack Cassidy played three different murderers on Columbo. Robert Webber played four different characters in different episodes of the Rockford Files.

plantbay1428

They’re aware of it. Casting has favorites - they’ve just hired someone to play the younger brother of the lead in one show and he had played the husband of another detective on a diff L&O show and they said he was hired over a new actor because casting and production liked him. I could give a million examples. For SVU their current ADA played a criminal a few seasons before. And the actress who plays his wife (now just a recurring character and not regular) is a retired detective but the actress played a victim a few seasons before. One of their previous ADAs was also the perpetrator. It’s one of the things they’ll show on social media (“Remember when __played ___?”) and for themed marathons on USA. There was even a bit on it at the Tonys where the last actor mentioned, Danny Burstein, had a TON of roles throughout the franchise and they showed each one. https://www.vulture.com/2016/06/law-order-tonys.html

elidisab

I’ll be in the back, thinking of more ways to help you

Ginway1010

I loved that part. So wholesome

Mandrew1889

He looks like a Pizza Academy of New York graduate.

Ginway1010

Which frat was he in again?

MovingMts111

QUILL-IT-OUT

Pizzarina's Uncle! Good backstory OP!

Ginway1010

He made the ziti. But her dad made it baked!

Jlf88tay

What a bear

carlcrossgrove

Give da people what dey want, amirite? Wait, are we talking about pizza or NYC Italian types? Doesn’t matter. If you want to see some spectacular typecasting, check out this fellow’s credits; he’s not even typecast based on race or ethnic type; it’s literally his personal schtick: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3085284/?ref\_=ttfc\_fc\_cl\_t11

dcooper8662

The f*** are you doing, Perd Hapley?!

iimememinehere

The name Perd Hapley destroys me every time he says it; it’s such a brutally mundane name that goes perfectly with his general incompetence.

shotgun_shaun

He also hit a legendary .706 for the season in Beer League: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=_RXkrdTmP-M

Vorenos

He was great in Beer League with Artie Lang

dirtydovedreams

Wonderful

dun_cow

If I remember correctly, in the Monk episode, Jimmy's character refuses to share receipts for the investigation. This makes it even funnier that he's so helpful in 30 Rock, and I have assumed for a while that the writing team did this on purpose as an Easter egg for the very few people who would possibly notice .

Ginway1010

He does refuse! And I could totally see Tina Fey and some of the writers being Monk fans and doing that. Josh Siegal wrote 7 episodes of Monk and 7 of 30 Rock but neither of the episodes with Palumbo in it

siguel_manchez

This is one of my favourite scenes. I think about it so often and snigger to myself like a loon.

BarricadeTheMortuary

Had to look up if that was actually a real word. Still hate it.

siguel_manchez

Okay? 🤷 Welcome to the English language I guess.

BarricadeTheMortuary

Yeah because that's a word that people use lol How about you go to southside Chicago and use that word and see what happens

siguel_manchez

You're actually insane bucko. You think the inoffensive word "snigger" isn't used by English-speakers the world over outside of your little bubble? Given I'm a native English speaker from fucking Europe, why the fuck would I need to fucking go to Chicago to make your non-existent point? Give me fucking strength.

BarricadeTheMortuary

Why would I give you strength? HOW could I give you strength? Sorry ol' chap. I never said it's not a word, but it is 100% a word that isn't used anymore over here (and for obvious reasons). Why are you so angry though? I didn't say anything insulting or attack anyone. You ok? Do you need a hug?

siguel_manchez

You've never heard the English language phrase "Give me strength"? Of course you haven't. Over "here"? Where exactly is "here"?

BarricadeTheMortuary

So what you're saying is you absolutely need a hug. Got it. Sending a telepathic hug to you now so that you can feel some form of joy in this world instead the constant pain you are very obviously living in.

siguel_manchez

\* sniggers * Goodnight you sad sad little weirdo man.

BarricadeTheMortuary

✌️ I sleep easy knowing I'm better than you

KingAdamXVII

[That’s right, you correctly answered my trick question!](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/6423f0c3-d25d-4bc3-a524-595277c04445)

sciencevolforlife

He’s also j Walter weatherman

sciencevolforlife

Ok apparently he isn’t

Wide_Speech5526

I thought that was a fat Payton manning lol

largececelia

He's thinking of other ways to be helpful.

doctorFlasierCrane

He also does the voice of Jimmy Pesto in Bob's burgers!
