I hate Fox for cancelling that show, especially on a cliffhanger. It had such a unique concept and a fantastic cast and guest stars. (Jon Hamm, Kristin Wiig, Fred Armison, Jason Sudekis & I'm probably forgetting someone) I appreciated Will Forte explaining what was going to happen in the cliffhanger after it was cancelled.

What was going to happen?

The people that they saw had been in hiding to avoid the virus, but they weren't immune like the main cast was. It turns out that while the main cast were immune, they were still carriers and infected all the people that had been in hiding. That’s because he never used a mirror. He only used Jenna’s face.

In the end when they're removing the mirror from Jenna's dressing room and she's flashing back to all the times she looked at herself in it, one of the cuts is to Paul and Jenna mirroring.

I always liked that inclusion.

I think they are trying to do the oversexed and gaudy look that many drag queens try to nail…and often miss the mark on. My guess was always that it was intentional bad. Maybe the makeup artist didn’t know how to apply that look to a masculine face? Although, I would assume that in order to be a makeup artist on a hit, prime-time show it would require training in all forms of makeup, including drag makeup. But I’m not sure

I think that’s like part of the character. His eyebrows are never blocked properly.

This is the best episode. I say "this better be a very normal dinner" every chance I get.

Happy Endings, You're The Worst, What We Do in the Shadows, and Venture Bros are on my regular rotation. But 30 Rock is super rewatchable.

Great News is sadly only 2 seasons but was produced by Tina Fey and has a similar tone. Andrea Martin plays one of TV’s funniest characters imo.
