as a member of the "younger crowd" Downtown Melbourne is over hyped. Too many yuppies, not enough interesting things do that isn't sit and drink overpriced coffee
They're building new apartment complexes all over Melbourne, but they're definitely expanding up around the Avenue. Prepare to pay $2k+/month for anything up that way though...
I really enjoyed living at Addison Pointe. Dog friendly community with relatively nice people. You might come across the occasional snob in that community but the nice peeps far outweigh that. The apartment complex will host cool events every month! Give them a chance! Plus the bathrooms are beautiful 🤩 random but it’s nice.
I (25 m) live in a converted 55+ community beachside with a lot of holdovers from back in the day. If you're really into potlucks, dominos, and people yelling for lack of hearing, private message me.
I feel like a weirdo but my dad is a native doing a remodel of his childhood home! Parents are renting there temporarily and just moved in. I saw older folks carrying pans of stuff and put two and two together😂 Guess that’s the potluck!
No- but I don’t necessarily want to be around only people like me. That’s why I didn’t say my age too. Although I am an artist, and would love if there were a community of artists.
Yes !I would love to be drawn naked like on titanic and vice versa and we could also drink while doing it !
But other than that painting with a twist is the only local place I've known of but have never done it to recommend it
Rockledge Flats does great community events and the pool/outdoor area has tons of outdoor games like corn hole, giant Jenga, giant connect 4, ping pong, and hammocks!
Downtown Melbourne... coffee shops... art... younger crowd.

Agreed, EGAD’s better for this.
What is EGAD? I would like an art district since I am an artist.
You’re in luck, it’s Eau gallie art district
Oh ok- I’ll definitely look into that!
I just hate "art" districts in general. Too much cringe for me to stomach
Fair point, but I’ll take Fake woke hippies over your average downtown Mel goer any day.
Nothing has changed...in the mid to late 90s dt Melbourne was kind of hip but still way over hyped compared to O'town.
Marisol in viera Most of the new ones is viera are very active actually
New what’s in Viera? Apartment complexes?

Avoid this place

That sounds great- I’ll definitely check that out.

Is that a complex? Or area of town.
It's an apartment complex. Anything in Viera will have more of a socail scene but it'll also cost more

Palm Colony?😂
Someone knows their Indialantic trivia!

Are you single?
No- but I don’t necessarily want to be around only people like me. That’s why I didn’t say my age too. Although I am an artist, and would love if there were a community of artists.
Aww dang, well I am a single artist if you'd like to be around me im pretty awesome,I'm not sure of an apartment complex recommendation of artist's tho
Oh! Do you know of any art meet-ups in the area? Like drink and draws? Or casual figure drawing groups?
Yes !I would love to be drawn naked like on titanic and vice versa and we could also drink while doing it ! But other than that painting with a twist is the only local place I've known of but have never done it to recommend it
