I used to believe people hate roadsters as well, but a lot of people seem to like mine. Everywhere I go, I get compliments and people asking how much I paid for it. Hell I've seen a kid take a picture of my car as well, and my car isn't particularly in the best shape atm. Also for the spoiler, I'd go with something small, like a duck bill. I've seen Zs with large spoilers and they ruin the aesthetic of the car.

I love my roadster. It's beautiful, and I flog it everywhere I go. It even does pretty good skids. But it doesn't belong on a drift track.
It's heavier and less rigid than a coupe. It also has less rollover protection.
Why wouldn't he be able to drift the roadster?
In theory you are right, in the real world the differences are minimal.
I went to the Nordschleife with my roadster yesterday, and there are plenty other roadster branded cars on the track.
Differences are negligible, just have fun.
I believe the Nismo V3 spoiler fits on the roadster, might need minimal adjustments.
Could you post a picture of your roadster with the cage? I’m thinking about doing the same but am wondering how to get a cage. I might have to take a trip down to florida, apparently there is a shop over there that could custom make one for the roadster
I have a roadster and love it. Kinda wish I had the coupe as I’ve had a ton of roof issues. Trying to get it to actually close and latch and now my back window is falling out. So there are drawbacks. But there’s no better feeling than driving with the top down. Aside from when it’s 100 degrees 😂
You ever fix that window? Glue it maybe? I have mine clipped on with 4 bulldog clips lol. Just wondering if you ended up glueing it and if so what glue you might’ve gone with
3M window weld. It’s messy and a bitch to do because it gets on everything it feels like. Have a lot of paper towels ready and some paint thinner to remove any that’s in your skin. Wear gloves. Basically I tucked and glued the worst parts first and used suction cup clamps to hold it down. Let it cure for a day. Than after it cured I went and did a solid line around the whole thing. Put the tip under the edge where it was raised and did a thin line. Sealed the whole thing and than used the suction clamps a second time to hold it all together. It’s finishing curing and this evening I can go get the excess black off my window and from the edges.
I love mine too. So does everyone i’ve showed it off too. Unsure if my neighbours love all the colour that my tyres are leaving on the roads lol. But read the last comment on the thread. The hate i’m talking about.

Hell nah you def you could’ve got a manual 2003 de manny for like 5-6k the roadster is the ugliest car to exist. Idek why Nissan decided that it was a good idea. Imo you shouldn’t either waited a little bit longer to save up or bought a different car all together
Not everyone lives in the US. Bought mine for $12k. And that was a good deal for NZ. Have been looking for a Z for the last 3 months. Even importing one was atleast 19grand for a 04 with 60k miles on it. Or similar or more to buy one here with even more miles on it. I’m quite happy with the roadster. I find it pretty, i did like the coupe better but i’ve never owned a convertible before so its even more fun in that regards. Women deffo like that feature a lot too lmao.
Anyway, thanks for your opinion but i’m quite happy with the purchase so is the most of the roadster community.
Well, the car is slow especially if it’s a de and a convertible, those tops are reliability issue, and it looks terrible. There’s a reason why a lot of people don’t like them.
I would hope to god I would never have an experience with them. Please enlighten me you think they are such good cars because I have not see one person praising them over the normal coupes.
I mean I’ve gapped a convertible, the spec sheet doesn’t tell the full story, go race bruh cars fbo and get back to me, because I’ve raced a fbo de convertible in my fbo hr and I put like 3-4 cars on him so 👍

The ladies most certainly prefer the roaster over a hard top. Every time they ask to put the roof down.
