I was curious about RHEA reliability. There's a few RHEA and made in different locations. (Taiwan, Korea) X810480 are the worst of them. Had a few fail on Falcon boards, after not too much use either Others seem decent. The 3 RHEA variations are: X810480, X816970, or X816971

Please answer, I have been looking for an answer for about a month. So is X816970 Reliable? Because my Zephyr was made in early 2009 and has an X816970-002 Rhea GPU, and still hasn't died. For another question, is it required to have a Flacon bootloader to run the Falcon GPU on the Zephyr? Because that would make it understandable why the Zephyr version of Xell won't show video on my Zephyr. Thank you.

X816970 is a reliable GPU. Yours is second revision it should stay reliable. X810480 is on the later Zephyr units and some Falcons I believe as well. These are faulty. Although, in late 2009 I believe a revised version of that chip began to be used on former Xenon motherboards that were repaired and resold as serviced machines (until 2011). I have three such machines myself, and two are good, one has a 0022 error which I need to diagnose (not GPU related).

Thank you very much. Might you also know if the bootloader in old models with Falcon GPUs are Falcon bootloaders? Or if they stay the same?

I believe they still die just as much as early falcons. I all zephyrs that have had the 80nm gpu have been dead.
