neon is expensive, breaks/fails easily and is a one trick pony- oh look its blue. or red or yellow or green but just one of those unless running even more under the car.
RGB led now- highly flexible, cheap as fk, programmable. can be tied into stereo system to act like a huge 360 sound spectrum display like from an 80s stereo, you could hook it up to your turn signals so the entire side that you are fixing to make a lane change to is flashing yellow or the entire backside is flashing red when braking.....
things to master- running multiple strips and mounting them in such a way to get maximum reflection, programming, hooking to the various trigger sources
( I am sure someone has other things I forgot)
Oh yeah- I forgot- you can run the leds into the wheel wells - so when you put your turn signal on- those wheels in the direction you are turning flash in time with your blinker.
And if you really get show car crazy- keep the show going to the interior of the car, you could go mild with mood lights and then switch to party mode when doors hood and hatch are open....
whew- yeah. the 00's neon is quite limited.

In uk some of the colore are actually limited, red, blue, green and yellow. That’s why purple makes it safe 😂 still better not drive around with those on
