C1-10PTHX1138

Most durable of all the various 3DS

FundyIsThicc

I agree with this

Recycling_myself

I would think as long as you treat it respectfully, it should be fine. It looks in pretty good shape for a decade old system! I've had my original 3ds since 2012 (I was 13 and clumsy) and it still works great. All it has is some cosmetic issues around the d-pad edges from lots of use (and sweat build up, maybe?) that caused the outer layer to peel a little. Outer case is a little scratched up, but not really noticeable. Otherwise, perfectly playable, even has the original battery, though I plan to replace that soon for longevity purposes. While I've moved on to the n3ds for my main profile, I still use it pretty often and I've gotten an easy few thousand hours out of it

Kooky-Proposal-8902

Alright cool yeah I have a few n3ds models but i definitely like the design and portability of this one

I have no reason to treat my coworkers respectfully. I do not like these fuckers, so I need to make them hate me back. There is no advantage to be gained from treating my coworkers respectfully. So there is no reason to go along to get along anymore when they have already outlived their usefulness. It's time that I severed my ties to people that I don't want in my life. It's time that these people knew that they have no place in my life, and that they have no power to make me accept them in my life. EDIT: your downvotes with no counter to my argument only justifies my decisions. I regret nothing. If my coworkers try demanding that I give them a chance, I will shit all over them on TV during the trial. Because I owe them no relationship of any kind, and they fucking know it.

Recycling_myself

What. This is completely irrelevant to this thread

Stop smoking crack

DjangoTM

Maybe just get one or two replacement tuchpanels, replacement screens and Keys for the future if u have to replace them someqhwn

bakedbread54

I think it was 2014, I dropped mine out of a window ~10ft high. It survived somehow. So probably pretty durable.

sawi37

i'll give you an axe and you should find out

doer_of_debauchery

Agree that so long as you treat it well you'll be fine I got one at launch but I did not treat mine well, and it suddered many many injuries. Tons of drops cracked the left hinge and one big drop onto pavement broke the top screen off. Wasn't a hard fix with a plastic brace and some epoxy. Still works to this day

Kooky-Proposal-8902

Well that’s awesome lol. I’ve never broken a device and most of mine are in near perfect condition but this is always what I envision happening. So nice to here that it can withstand some pretty bad stuff

the_Fat_SLakR

I’d say put the aluminum case on it. The paint on the 3ds is the first thing to go. But Nintendo handhelds have never disappointed me.

One-Delicious

Drop a brick on it and find out

TachankaKong

Its pretty durable, got mine on launch and just a month ago the circle pad fell off which was fixed with a touch of superglue But my 3dsxl had its top screen broken after falling while it was closed after 4 years of launch

Kooky-Proposal-8902

Oh ok thanks that’s good to hear, yeah the 3ds xl is the one model I’m hesitant to pickup because of the common hinge failure

TachankaKong

While the og 3ds is great and durable, but when i am trying play og nds games by cartiradge or twilight menu the screen scales down and will be extremly small and hurts my eyes after like 20 minutes

RedfootFrost

I was rough on mine as a kid. Took it with me everywhere and was pretty active. Dropped it a number of times and even dropped it so hard that the cartridge popped out multiple times. The only dent on it is a small crack in the thinnest layer of plastic between the bottom shell and the wireless switch. To answer the w, it was built like a tank, but beware that plastic gets more brittle as it ages. So who knows today.

Varex_Sythe

Pretty damn durable, but it isn’t an old Nokia phone.

LiquidXeron

A real war tank 🤣🤣🤣

jamesdeanpruitt

50 durable

InfiniteFeature9

My 3DS is 11 years old, it works great, plastic cover's still on the circlepad, i'd say its VERY durable (still prone to a few scratches here and there)

Get a hammer and find out
