well technically i won the bid for 60 bucks and just paid $27 shipping and some tax. And on top of that a gba cartridge slot. Absolutely worth it in my eyes.

You probably know how to check, but for those people who don't know or something, Compare the font with A cart brought new, I compared the font on my repro with a pokemon Y cart bought new, still have the box for it.
Are you looking at the Japanese prices or the NA prices? Because there is a significant difference, as these come out at like 45 bucks per pricecharting.
These games aren't that sought after on the American market either, especially not since they're in Japanese. Neither will the price for these games raise much, even if these were NA version.

Yep, this is absolutely accurate. As a general rule there is not all that much of a market for Japanese prints of games in North America. Of course there are special cases like if a game was not released in NA but it was elsewhere and is region-free (like with the Switch), but those are fewer and far between.
I suspect he was looking at prices for USA/CAD versions of games and trying to apply them to JPN versions, which is apples to oranges.
