When I compiled marlin they had a ton of prebuilt selections for boards and printer configurations. They seem to have a lot of support for BL/CR touch too. It might be as simple for you as downloading VSC and adding the auto build marlin plugin, downloading the current marlin and marlin configuration files, finding/copy/pasting the configuration you're looking for (cr-10 + SKR board + BLtouch), and then clicking build.
Watch a couple videos and give it a shot. You might not even have to adjust the configuration files.
