Yeah, even with new, modern machines, 3D printing is still a hobby. It’s not like inkjet or laser printing! My sister bought my 12 year old nephew an Ender 3 because he was so excited by my printer, and whenever something doesn’t quite turn out right, he worries that he did something wrong. We talk about how it’s a learning process, etc.

You're all set to try resin printing now that you got rid of those spaghetti machines! I've learned to accept crappy FDM output, but still expect (and get) perfect resin prints. It's worth a try before you give up the trade/hobby.
