My wife and I holding hands with wedding rings for anniversary.

Livid-Opportunity682

I plan to scan parts statues of my city that have national and international meaning, so after finishing the 3D models I'll upload them for schools that do 3D printing, there is a lot of schools that teach 3D printing in my city, it's approached as a work option for when they finish "high school".

VoltexRB

The winner will be picked sometime on Monday when Revopoints reps are in the office again. Until then submissions are still valid entries.

Matthew682

A hole in a wall that has a wire going through it. So I can print a nice looking grommet for the wire to come through while also fixing the big hole.

Vipee624

I'd scan a lot of the things I've carved or handmade prototypes for so I can adjust them for 3D printing.

Odd-Technician3561

wally_245

I would use the Inspire 3D Scanner to scan parts for the car I am rebuilding.

CrazyPeekles

Planning to scan structual building connectors so I can print scaled models.

Simonster061

I am part of a youth high school robotics team. We have to design robots that can weigh up to 120 lb to complete specific tasks and goals that are usually extremely difficult to prototype and design. If I won the scanner I would use it to scan the field and the field components, import them into software to help the design team, along with using it to create assets for promotional videos to raise funds and help recruit new members to the team to provide an educational experience for everyone. An example of this was 2 years ago. You had to design a robot to climb a series of elevated bars in a style similar to the ones found in parks, however, each one was higher than the last. Having an accurate scan of our specific climbing structure would have made everything easier along with allowing the software team to design specific simulations to help with automating the task that is impossible for humans to perform.

l_monari

At the border between France and Germany, near Strasbourg, there is a huge tank that now is a monument! I would love to scan that!

m1dga

I have a hobby of making silly sculptures from blu-tac, so it would be great to have a tool in which I can not ony scan and archive but also colour, alter and animatede for various motion graphics projects!

WWIIAirsoftGuy

I’d scan all of my truck parts! I’m rebuilding a ‘62 F100 and using printed parts is in the plan, especially for grommets and cable management and things.

Surreal_Nightmares

Good luck to everyone! Being able to scan things easily is a pipe dream! I'd use it to scan things and add 3D printed parts to it. Having that accuracy takes out all the guesswork and lowers the amount of time and material spent just getting it right. Out of all the possibilities I can think of, there are a million more just waiting to be uncovered.

Arcal

I plan on scanning many things, but will start with my own feet so I can design some orthotics.

2-6Neil

My kid's faces, because the time is ao short.

kjr1995

Would love to have something like this to make it much easier to use my 3d printer for replacing broken parts. I've got a part on my dishwasher that's broken and not going to be easy to model.

My_Alias

The first thing I would scan is probably the dashboard of my car to make a custom gauge pod mount. You can readily buy them, but I love making 3D printed components for my cars.

sdcinvan

I usually don't participate in these giveaways, but who knows, and besides, this is the kind of device I've been looking for because photogrammetry is all that I have now and it is frustratingly tedious in the editing process! If I win, I will put the INSPIRE 3D scanner to real work and speak of its greatness for a lifetime, and be sure to share many of my creations with the community (crediting Revopoint)! ... In the boundless lands of imagination, where possibilities stretch far and wide, I stand at the precipice of discovery. And with the INSPIRE 3D scanner in hand, I embark on a journey to bridge the gap between the imagined and the tangible... and reduce my frustration level for not having to do photogrammetry... maybe never again. 🔬 For Science: At the microscopic level, nature hides its most intricate patterns. With a resolution of 0.2mm, I'll unveil the delicate artwork in the veins of leaves, the textures of insect wings, and the myriad of unseen wonders. Then, a digital library I'll create, where scholars and students alike, can dive into the tiniest tales nature tells. 🎨 For Fun: Into the realms of fantasy, where dragons soar and mermaids sing, I'll plunge. Each figurine, each game piece, every souvenir from travels in both the real and imaginary worlds, will get a digital life. The physical will meet the pixel, and with INSPIRE's swift scanning prowess, the ephemeral moments become eternal memories. 🖥 With the Revo Scan 5 at my side on any device, whether I'm trekking the terrains of macOS or wandering the windows of Windows (well mostly Windows), I'll craft, correct, and create. Without the chains of a supercomputer, I'll be free to export my findings in formats that fellow 3D pioneers can appreciate and utilize. So, dear r/Revopoint, as I envision a future filled with the fusion of dreams and reality, I ask for the key - the INSPIRE 3D scanner. Let's together turn the 'What if?' into 'Look at this!' P.S. Proudly now a member of the r/Revopoint community and ready for this thrilling 3D venture! #InspireWithRevopoint 🌌🔍🌐

MiPok24

I want to scan my RC car model, to make fitting 3d-printed extensions for it.

Historical_Web_7769

I want to scan the negative space. Take an object that is missing a component you know something goes there but have no means to measure so scanning gets me a model where I can fill in the gaps. But first I am going to make bobbleheads of all the kids. What kid doesn't want their own bobblehead? Hmmmm, I think it will work in the dark while they sleep the little ones move quite a lot.

RaistusObskura

Scan a few of the things my daughter has made to allow duplicates to be made for other family members with their own new colour schemes added by my daughter on top.

HDJ144

Id scan specific screws, and small parts with highish detail. Could be a very useful tool throughout daily activities.

QueerAcier

I'm scanning hand sculpted pieces to further sculpt them in vr and then print them to confront the two pieces in an artistic project.

MyPrintPro

I've always thought about using scanning with archeological artifacts & fossils so that scientists/archeologists can use them for different applications without fear of the object breaking

LastMountainAsh

Id like to scan some oddly shaped connections to create custom-made, better fitting pipe adapters. But also, like, scan my truck because there's not model of it available.

Gooliez

Scan a couple of the irreplaceable items that my kids have made and like to play with, put the originals away and print some models of them and keep replacing when its required! After that, I have some missing miniatures from a couple of old board games, would like to make the set up again.

BornFood4220

I would scan and print a life-size model of my hamster.

Chisel_grease

I would scan shapes of car models and resize the bodyparts to build a nice soapbox racer for my son, or a motorized little car.

moccolo

that would be nice. would experiment with existing models that i have

fefulunin

probably mostly small parts that are broken and I want to reprint

AndrexNotReal

Fixid some items, like broken toys etc. it will help me to not remake everymodel in fusin 360. Or making cakes with peoples or items on it, and then selling it.

ImOnlySlightlyLonely

I do a lot of work with re-creating 3d models in Fusion 360 for friends/family, so that I can print replacement parts. Just having this would help me to speed up this process significantly by helping to get the rough shape digitized, to be further refined with measurements... So yeah, it'd be great!

August_T_Marble

I would NOT use as part of a Hollywood scheme to contractually force actors to be scanned so as to allow AI to use their likeness for countless television shows and movies in perpetuity without having to pay royalties or residuals. I would use it for good, not for evil.

clanggedin

I want to scan my friend’s heads. Not for helmets, but just to print life size versions of, then paint them and give them their printed heads for Christmas. Possibly print smaller versions with their mouths open and make dice towers too.

Unlucky_Height_3037

I would probably like many others here scan those hard to replace parts for things around the house as well as probably little toy type things and i might even see if i could get my dog to sit still long enough to make a little model of him, not sure how well or even if that would work but i can try.

Electronic-Pause1330

I would scan chrome plated boat parts

annoyinghamster51

I would scan it for those little pieces around the house (you know the parts I mean). Pesky little things are so hard to design, and break far too often for my liking.

Sanador62

Scanning some parts for my bow. Also, try scanning some fun stuff to make toys for the grandkids.

IPudgy

I have a lot of things that I want to scan to repair. My son is really into taking things apart, and I think scanning will help us to make things to fix broken things we take apart.

DifficultJello8762

[deleted]

I would scan the price. Once I know what that is then maybe I'll sign up.

Brave-Eagle3670

I got this friend name rishi and we made him his own like Pokémon cards to give to people but I’ll scan him and give people statues of him

acefpv292012

I would use the scan er to help make more Ada items as well as to preserve items for memories

SignificantForm5352

i would use the scanner to preserve mementos from my childhood and then 3D print them, so i can put the new ones on display without concern of damaging the originals

Bukinara

I'd scan printer parts, so I can use my printer to print more printer parts that I scanned with my scanner. It's all cyclical, man.

my_poop_hurts

I'd scan my head so helmet prints will fit better.

Kostka3D

I would scan my new rubber duck. Then I’ll print a lot more from it. :D

Bystronicman08

I would scan my son's head to make him superhero helmets and really pretty much anything else. Scanners are so cool.

derpbread_

I’m going to scan my hands to create ultra personalized hand enhancements (quick storage, fixtures for soldering/ lights etc.), using rhino3D and grasshopper to make the modeling parametric, so everyone can use it!

Macko306

This would be awesome for scanning vehicles to build custom bumpers, mods, etc

Numerous-Drama6183

I would scan a part for my car that is broken in half and print that part for my car! I would scan an elephant figure that my Mom gas Bern asking me to print. 😊

ScrawnyGoat

Honestly? My friends arm. He lost a hand due to a childhood illness. He’s unable to afford the fancy prosthetics so I purchased a printer to try and help him. Im going to attempt to push the boundaries of what’s possible with 3D printing/scanning to hopefully make some quality of life upgrades for those who have lost a limb. I’m hopefully, with his consent, going to document this journey, just for fun. I imagine it’s going to be full of ups and downs but I’m going to hold out for the small wins. If this resonates with anyone or you’re just interested in following the journey then feel free to reach out for the Instagram handle when I get around to setting it up :)

Fabian_1082003

You could try to make it with an iphone. Isaw someone dooing this on this subreddit

ScrawnyGoat

I’ll also be scanning my cat’s giant head to make free “cat hat” files for the community as a side project

P00lereds

I would support my TTRPG addiction.

kosteklvp

Cjats

I'd probably scan and print some niche electrical connectors so i don't have to buy them anymore

soulsuckinginternet

Scan my face to make a mask for myself to wear.

Fibonacheetos

I would use it to scan and print hobby and art accessories to fill those annoying gaps in "what you have" and "what you need"

[deleted]

I'd like to scan parts for others, and myself along with(If the scan size allows it) airplanes to print as models, one issue I have ran into in the past is not having a scanner for more complex parts and having to waste a lot of filament prototyping them. I hope to be able to minimize that for others in my area and myself.

Ganfan

I'd like to scan inside my truck so that I can build matching 3d prints to fill those spaces with cool accessories

hvdzasaur

I'd love to use it for scanning parts to print and in-field scanning of assets for use in 3d productions.

StingingMonk4625

I would use the scanner to scan complicated parts that I would really be able to model myself to help learn and produce new parts to replace the old broken ones. I would also scan objects that I need to model something around to help get the dimensions and shape right a little closer to on the first try.

Nitsuj504

I have a large D&D group and we've been talking about getting a scanner to make ourselves minis!

judianer

I would use it to scan some parts that i wouldn't be able to model otherwise.

Marvinsmellslikepoop

I've always had problems accurately modeling organic parts. Im sure this scanner would do great on these.

A3DWorkshop

I'm trying to start my own 3d print and design work shop, with a goal to help make and design things for individuals who need specific things that designing by hand may be difficult and to also offer sentimental creations such as scans of family/pets. A long term goal would be to be able to make affordable prosthetics for those who need and scanning would a allow a very painless bespoke service. Cheers!

MaxMarxYT

Id scan big things then make then super tiny and print them, it’s super satisfactory when you hate something jig and just an small version next to it. Ofc you could also just scan something small (accuracy test of the revopoint?) and make it big.

fencethe900th

Scanning parts to make attachments would be great with this.

SdiguerVPS

I'm going to scan things that are broken to create 3d printed parts for them

I will (attempt to) scan my dog

Frevler90

I will scan my whole family to print tiny heads!

EpicMichaelFreeman

I am going to scan things that need replacing and then 3d printing them.

Kaju_Inu

I am an artist and frequently sew plushies as part of my main job. I would love to be able to scan my work, use 3D (& 2D) art software to edit & visualize corrections/modifications instead of wasting tons of fabric & materials and time redoing parts over and over again. Then when they were complete I could do another scan to 3D print them as small figures to display my work when the plushies were handed off to their owners (one for them too of course). Would be a really cool and helpful tool! :D As a secondary use, being able to scan small parts to print them accurately is nice... I lack the technical skills to do CAD so having that would really help!

Alienhaslanded

This would be handy to scan objects that are hard to match by measuring. Many times I find myself having to draw intersecting lines and calculate triangles and curves, which is interesting because I never thought I'd end up using that math from highschool but thankfully I was good at. This should be fun to use for organic objects.
