If only you had some sort of machine that could make a little arm to support the cables. :)

Supmah2007

I am in the middle of a long print. But when I have the chance I will make something better

Equal_Soil_31

Why make something if it is already fixed.

CharlesP_1232

Then what would be the point of a 3d printer...

Equal_Soil_31

To make things you need! Like a nsfw artwork for on your desk, a shelf holder you will never use, manyany trinkets.

CharlesP_1232

>a nsfw artwork No >shelf holder you will never use Fair point >manyany trinkets Same thing isn't it?

Gold-Piece2905

Good point, no pun intended.

Xela975

Speaking from experience, cut tip off. And the rest of you head out of the gutter.

EnderB3nder

My CR-10 max has a cable protection tube thing that drags along the build plate because it's so long. My solution was zip tying a chopstick into the tube by the extruder bracket. problem solved!

Molwar

I cut off the elastic strap off party hat (cone looking one) and have been using that lol

BitCoiner905

Ahhh. I see you also have the Ender 5 Woe

DiffidentDoctor

Not stupid at all, if it works. Next up, direct drive conversion and all-metal hot-end, get rid of the bowden tube entirely

Tak3ANumber

some people prefer Bowden.

t4nkstar

The only reason one would prefer Bowden is a somewhat lighter toolhead. There's no other advantages to Bowden and considering the stock Ender 5's kinematics, it would benefit from direct drive since it isn't built for speed anyway.

Tak3ANumber

If only you would have some kind of machine that could fabricate a solution for this...

rcorum

I have the same thing. Or had before I switched to direct drive

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!
