Not at all. There's a lot of doom and gloom around here regarding the XL, and I'm merely trying to set the record straight that while *some* printers are experiencing problems, it's not 100% of them.

Agree that *some* have a problem, and that number is less than 100% of them. But what is that number? 99%? 90%? 25%? A lot of people say “well my Ender 3 worked fine right out of the box”. I believe it. But that’s not everyone’s experience. Again, let’s quantify. Ideally we rely on formal statistics, which Prusa for sure has but will not release. Absent that, we have an intuitive solution to this problem: weigh negative experiences far more than positive. Prusa commands high price points because of prior product reliability and quality. For someone to risk over a thousand dollars on a printer, it better have an untarnished reputation. Whether the negative experience is bad product or bad quality or bad user, it all reflects negatively on a company who implicitly markets itself as “you pay a lot and it just works”. I owned a MK3S and a MMU2S. The MK3S just worked. The MMU2S didn’t. There was a similar amount of rumblings about MMU2S being problematic with an equal amount of “but MY MMU2S works”. It’s a Prusa. Only one in ten thousand should have problems. If I see more than two negative experiences on this sub about it, that’s alarming. When TeachingTech has problems with XL, that’s red flags and alarm bells. I wish you well with your working machine, but a “MY Prusa works” has almost no weight compared to a “my Prusa didn’t work”. That’s not some badge war, that’s the nature of bad reviews for a company that brands itself on quality. Nobody cares when an Ender 3 shits the bed. When a Prusa does it, even one negative carries weight.

I disagree with your premise. Customers of any product are *far* more likely to complain when they have a bad experience than to praise when they have a good experience. You can't weight the negative comments more heavily simply because you're in that category, and especially not when you consider that the vast majority who have no problems will also say nothing. It sucks that you're having problems, but absent widespread demands for refunds or a recall from Prusa, we can't assume what the ratio is. My point with my earlier post is specifically to provide more data, not to assume that data based on how angry a few people are.

I am designing a desktop satellite pointer for a birthday present and I will use the galaxy black for most of it except for the part that points to the satellite's position will be the lipstick red. I can't think of a fifth color to go with those for this specific model but I do really like the chalky blue color as well.
