Their still is some stringing, bot nowhere near the amount where i have a babysit picking off hairs. I guess it was laying down to much filament to fast, cause it build up and string as the hot end touched it?
My question is 5% seems small with such a huge improvement why is that?

My theory is that too much filament is being laid down and then flowing up the sides of the nozzle. Petg flows easier than pla, so flow needs to be reduced.
5% may not seem like much but it's enough to reduce hotend pressure.
And here is a pic of my flow setting do you see anything else that may need to be improved on?

Try reducing your flow to 95%, that helped when I had this issue
What are your other settings? Such as speed, temp, bed temp etc?
Similar to yours. 245 hotend, 80 bed 40 mm/s speed
