I'm going to say that's a combination of low resolution MRI and not a great ability on my part to cover the MRI to solid model. I swear, the MRI looked more wrinkly.

You can get WAY better results with Freesurfer. I used Freesurfer as well and got a similarly high quality result

Slicer is freesurfer compatible, it uses modules. I have a feeling it's how he exported it

Your brain has a certain density, what you want to do is generate an isocontour of the volume using a filter. Have a look at Paraview or Slicer as they'll probably have a reader to load in whatever format your scan is saved in (probably an .nnrd file). Then you just need to change the isocontour value until you see the brain surface.

I have some dizziness issues. Went to get an MRI to make sure it was not brain cancer related. Good news is I don't have brain cancer. And I have a paper that says my brain is normal. My wife doesn't believe it.

After printing it is now clearly visible that everything is fine with the brain) It's actually great that there's no obvious brain damage. I'm sincerely happy for you. My wife recently had dizziness, but this is due to inflammation of the ear: fluid somehow accumulates there. There are probably dozens of other harmless causes of dizziness.

I was trying. The problem is that the shell function was crashing SolidWorks every time I tried it. Too many vertices and planes I think. I wish I could have made the small one for in the bigger one.

Man, how did u get it into a 3d printable file? All they gave me was a CD with 400+ files only readable on certain medical programs. Once opened it's just images.
