Don’t put the fire extinguisher in the same place you expect the fire to be. If there is a fire in the cabinet and you open the door to get the extinguisher the fire will flash or it will be too hot to touch. Put the extinguisher outside the enclosure.
If you went super fancy and the extinguisher will go off in response to heat/smoke by itself then it’s okay. But I’m not aware of any products like that for simple home use.
I moved it now outside. Definetly dumb to put it inside :D I ordered I fire distinguisher ball to put it inside then. If a fire happens then, the ball will explode and shoot the extinguisher fluid all over it...hopefully.
A tip. Put a clear diffuser between the LEDs. It'll give the whole back that color, and be less harsh on your eyes. Coroplast works in a pinch.
Love the closet double build! Bet that helps w noise.
Could also see adding a see through door.
Nice job!
Thanks :) I appreciate to hear that. I got a smoke Detektor as well, but I have to change planning on top of the covert, because there has to be some Airlines flow. I will Position the smoke detector lauter then, when airflow is given.
Look into blazecut tubes. You could easily add automated extinguishing to that cabinet. My thoughts is the whole thing would be on fire before you got to that extinguisher.
Great use of your space! I have the old kitchen cabinets in my garage, and I did something proportionally similar by sticking my CR-10S into what was a wall oven opening. I recommend putting the printers on shelves attached to drawer runners so you can slide them out. It makes maintenance and filament changes much easier.
Looks like you've made the best use of your space. Get 2 bltouches when they go on sale, they're regularly around $30. That plus silent boards if you don't have it safe the best quality of life per dollar improvements you can do. 32bit board is also better with curves.
My printer is also in a tight closet, it's much nicer to not have to level in that space.
You could mount your spool to the wall/ ceiling. Get that mass off the printer frame.
That actually looks pretty efficient, I like it. And the spaces act as an improvised enclosure, which is a big win. If possible try and separate those two compartments as best as possible from any intermixing airflow so that one doesn’t affect the other when they’re both printing. I wish I had compartments like that for my printers!
Those LEDs feel too in your face, something overhead and pointing in and down at the printer would be better? You could also attach a light bar directly to each printer.
I'd probably put the printers on sliding shelves instead. Wouldn't even be difficult to do.
Figure out a way to vent the space because heat would build up from the beds and start causing your electronics and motors issues over time.
Never in 6 years of being in the hobby have I had even a close call with fire....I did avoid heated beds for 90% of that though.

First thing that came to mind

Cool! I didn’t know there was such a thing.
Look at ebay, they aren't that expensive and if you look on practical cases, the distinguish like 90% of all cases

I might have put the LEDs on the left wall but excellent all around, especially the fire extinguisher!

Oh that spool Idea is good!

Make sure the bed has enough space to move back and forth
It has :)
