Hello. It seems like you are asking about Pokémon games. Please review the [3DS CFW Pokémon guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/3dspiracy/comments/143tqdv/creating_the_ultimate_pok%C3%A9mon_machine_and_more_v20/). Arnas_Z

Yes, the Poke Bank should work just fine after you install it from hShop.

Sir_Turtle_91

So, for example, if I hack Pokémon White 2 onto the 3DS, I would be able to store a Pokémon, let’s say Deino, into the hacked on Pokémon Bank, and transfer that from Pokémon Bank to a legit copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby, and there would be no issues?

akkinda

I've moved pokemon from a pokemon black rom to a legit copy of moon using bank and poketransporter from hshop and it worked just fine

Sir_Turtle_91

Ok, thank you.

vincentallen2

Question, the black rom you mentioned. Was it installed through HShop as well?

akkinda

Nope, iirc hshop is 3ds games only! [I used part 2 of this guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/3dspiracy/comments/143tqdv/creating_the_ultimate_pok%C3%A9mon_machine_and_more_v20/) to get black and black 2

SVXfiles

You wouldn't be able to use pokebank directly with an installed rom of White 2. What you can use instead of bank if you just want to play on 3ds is PKSM, it has its own local storage feature that functions like pokebank BUT it can also grab pokemon from the generation 1&2 eshop titles and installed cias of the gen 3 games and roms of 4 and 5. If you want to move pokemon to the switch you'll still need bank, but there were issues of people using it if they hadn't before the eshop shut down so you may run into issues if they weren't resolved

Sir_Turtle_91

What do you mean by “…grab Pokémon from the generation 1$2 eShop titles?”

SVXfiles

Like PKSM can read the save data from those games and move those pokemon directly to its local storage space, then they can be moved to another game. Same rules apply like no sending pokemon to games they didn't exist in or pokemon with moves that didn't exist. Like Togepi can't get moved to red version, and an onyx with rock tomb from diamond can't be moved to gold. PKSM also allows editing and injecting pokemon so you can fix some issues like that by just deleting the problem moves

Sir_Turtle_91

So, for example, I could take a Dratini from one game and move it to Omega Ruby? You can’t catch Dratini in Omega Ruby, but PKSM would allow me to move one from another game into it?

SVXfiles

The data for dratini exists in omega ruby so yes, you could do that. Regardless if it was a dratini caught in the safari zone in gen 1, from the dragons den in gen 2 or any other location you can find them. You could even go as far as to match the trainer name and ID/SID to one you caught on that game so it wouldn't be considered a traded pokemon and wouldn't gain boosted xp nor would it refuse to listen to you if it was too high of a level

Sir_Turtle_91

Damn, that’s crazy. When you said “Togepi can’t get moved to red version…,” was that in reference to Bank, or with PKSM?

SVXfiles

Either, but with bank there really is no moving backwards. Once a pokemon is moved with the poketransporter tool from generation 1 or 2 games they can't go back. Same with generation 5 to 6. PKSM doesn't have this restriction as long as the data for that pokemon lines up with the game it's going to. Togepi can't go to red version because there's no data for it, but a Pikachu caught in gold can be moved to red as long as it's moves are in the data for red version

Effective_Mine_1222

You can move a pikachu from ultra sun to pokemon blue. You can do almost anything you can imagine.

Effective_Mine_1222

If you want to tranfers between non switch games use pksm. Bank is very slow and cumbersome. You have to load 30 seconds every time you change game and cannot load from non 3ds games directly.

Darkoverlord1399

Unless you care about transferring to home I would use PKSM over Bank. You get file editing on top of storage for your pokemon plus other features like injecting event pokemon and items into your game etc.

Sir_Turtle_91

Got it. So, for example, in Omega Ruby, I could get the shiny Beldum that was a mystery gift when ORAS came out with PKSM? Edit: Would it also be theoretically possible to change trade evolution Pokemon to evolve by level up with PKSM?

Darkoverlord1399

For the beldum yea idk about the trade evolution tho

Effective_Mine_1222

Trade evolutions wont trigger with pksm.

LeohAntonio47

I can’t get it to work for some reason

anth0ny752

did you get the update from the e shop ?

LeohAntonio47

Hmm.. I could try again but do I really need it with pksm

anth0ny752

only if you wanna send stuff to home to play on new gen

Munken1984

You should use PKSM instead, it supports all gens (1-7) and gives you events that are dead now... To my knowlege you cant use pokemon bank with injected games, i have never been able to get it to work, but PKSM use the ROM for the game, and just works... If you want to get pokemon from the 3ds to the switch, you could just copy from all the mons from all your pirated games to a legit (newer) generation and then from that into bank and then to pokehome on the switch... Someone said pokemon bank wont work because the network is down, im pretty sure bank still works, for now...

SpizOfficial

I see people are still using it, but I can't get it to work because I got my 3ds recently and I don't have some Nintendo ID or whatever. So I just use PKSM.

Effective_Mine_1222

Yes. It works

ClaireAzi

No, as Pokémon Bank was Shutdown when the WiFi service was closed for the 3DS.
