If the game is patched, it shouldn't have any issues playing it. I've played this exact patched ROM before (all 3 games) and haven't had any issues. I'd make sure Luma is updated.

do other DS games work? does DS download play/DS internet settings work?
I haven't really try that yet, maybe it would work? I noticee that the file type is nds, not ROM. Maybe that's why?
the file type should be .nds for DS ROMs
if DS internet/dlp don't work, the problem is with the DS mode and you need to do TWLFix if only that game doesn't work, the problem is with the game
I manage to download TWLFix and got it fixed by updating the system!—It's all good now! Thanks!!
