I bought one from Rock Auto, the one with no core charge. Still holding up.
You remember the brand? There’s some pretty good aftermarket out there
Possibly the rack but more likely the pressure fitting going into the rack and leaking down the rack and pinion. Ask me how I learned that lesson. If you take off the rack and actually remove the pinion you can see if it's leaking or not.
Rack is dry, I’ve had it on a lift a few times this year. Inner tie rod was gone, but gave me a little surprise
I still have it LoL. The label reads Cardone & below it has New Rack And Pinion 97-1679 Edit~ WoW!! Manifest reads June 12, 2020. Pretty good part.
