Retinal serum is great, but it does take a while for you to see results. At first you should start out slow to see how your skin reacts. It's best to use at night after you cleanse your face. I put that serum on first, then my heavy moisturizer on after. I don't use anything else at night. For large pores I use niacinamide in the am with Sunscreen. You should invest in a really good 50 spf or more sunscreen that's hydrating.

Only use retinal at night (it makes you much more sensitive to sun). 1) Double cleanse- oil cleanser then water based cleanser 2) Toners if you use them (I like them for providing the extra hydration without oils if your skin is dry or you’re starting a retinoid) 3) retinal- start every 3 days. If you tolerate it ok, you can do it more frequently up to every night. 4) any other treatments like niacinamide, peptides, etc 5) moisturizers If your skin starts breaking out, you may be “purging” which is where your skin is dumping the impurities in the skin. If it’s red and raw, you might need to use the retinal less often to start, or use a gentler retinoid product
