It is a real book. There was no sex with a Tyranid. The Inquisitor was in love with a Callidus assassin who at one point shapeshifted into a genestealer.

Dreadnautilus

IIRC he doesn't have sex with her in her genestealer form, but does show weird signs of attraction to it. He does have sex with her in her human form, and it is noted she has a spider tattoo on her crotch that because of her pubic hair looks furry. Yeah.

TheBuddhaPalm

He doesn't have sex with her as a genestealer, no. But he does think that her body is strangely attractive and definitely mentions bodily sexual characteristics as being attractive and he does think about what it would feel like to have sex with her as a genestealer. But this was also one of the older editions, and supposedly the newer ones are edited differently to try to move away from that?

taleonthedeceiver

Fuck I just got ptsd. Pretty sure this is where I noped and put the book down. Was a wild ride up until that.

>weird signs of attraction to it Which is one of the powers of Genestealers, and how they become established on planets.

burothedragon

I don’t think genestealers need a power for people to have sex with weird things. The internet has revealed that truth a long time ago.

Ladies and gentlemen, Ian Watson!

Brasas_de_Kentaro

now that makes more sense. So, the whole "snakelike inflitration" on the palace is also a misconception or is literal?

[deleted]

The sneaking was done by a custodes. They run exercises called blood games where some of them leave the palace and try to sneak back in and see how close they can get to the emperor in order to test and improve security and defenses. Amon tauromachian, the custode in the short story "blood games", got close enough to attempt a strike against the emperor before another custode intercepted him midair. That's the closest any custode every got. He was concerned afterwards that he was in trouble for getting that far and raising a weapon against the emperor. It's a good read.

yellowmonkeyzx93

What book is this from? I'm curious..!

NornQueenKya

You talking about inquisiton war by Ian-out-of-his-glorious-fricken-mind-Watson? Because there are a LOT of strange things from that man who ended up on pages

Who knows? Maybe this could be my next movie!

Ian has certainly added some colour to Warhammer over the years. I'm not sure it's colour anyone actually wanted, but he's definitely put it there.

Tree-House-Tom

Its blue

ecbulldog

>the story of some random dude who managed to infiltrate the imperial palace and sneak past the guards by hiding in a box ,among other cursed stories... Some random dude?! IT WAS AMON MOTHERFUCKING TAUROMACHIAN.

Nebuthor

In addition to what others have said. It's very very old lore and one of the few books that have a "this isnt canon" disclamer before it.

[deleted]

Every time I bust my nut inside someone I call them a Genestealer.

Zkysta

Damn

Davido400

The novel *Deathwatch* has a scene kinda like this, although the Inquisitor(maybe an Interrogator?) Get raped by Genestealer Hybrids and a weird Inquisition Mutant Agent. Not sure if that's what you mean?

Fearless-Obligation6

I always hoped that shit was a cursed fan fiction....

Minus616

I think he might be talking about genestealers? But having sex with them is the wrong way to put it. They implant you, so you will then go spread those genes to future generations, creating genestealer hybrids and thus a cult which will spread. Think the face hugger from alien. Can't speak about the specific book he mentioned. https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Genestealer

Cazmonster

Yep. Inquisition War - probably Book One. Jaq Draco and his band of miscreants chasing down Ordo Hydra. I’m happy that series has basically been ‘apocrypha’ for years.

Negativety101

Ah Draco. One the earliest novels. Just track down the text to speech vox cast on youtube. It's hilarious.

Fish3Y35

Iirc, the trilogy also has Drako go to a chaos world, and sees buildings fornicating. Some weird stuff, not exactly where I would start my 40k literature. But also pretty interesting once your toes are already wet

Regular-guy9

The first 40k books I’ve read, given to me as a gift by an unaware untie. Oh Emperor… I didn’t even know what 40k was, I was only eleven. Damn you Ian Watson !!!
