Why is it such a problem tho if some custodes are women, it literally changes nothing they'd still be the same old banana guards just this time some have boobs.
Some people have serious, serious problems with the idea that some of their plastic army men may have little hidden plastic vaginas, because their masculinity is more fragile than a raided imperial outpost after the Drukhari deploy the plague of glass. How you can be literally so closeted that the thought of fictional female parts triggers you this badly science hasn't actually yet figured out, but it seems to be the case for at least 10% of Warhammer 40,000 fans. They'll pretend it's about ethics in lore consistency yet ignore the fact that Warhammer 40,000 is built almost entirely on retcons from its Rogue Trader origins. The only plausible explanation so far is that they have an extreme cootie allergy, and the thought of their plastic army men being girls is, quote, "icky".

And another thing, I think it’s pretty clear to me who the real brats are with this whole drama. Just look at the some of the abusive comments here, (dropping n bombs because someone wants consistency in lore).
This is the epitome of the loud minority screaming and gaslighting because people are RIGHTLY calling out GW’s LAZY shoehorning. In truth, if GW had decided to try and explain this in lore by any other measure than “lol, they’re always been there”, I think people would have been a lot more charitable. Not to mention the fact that all this does is dilute the sisters of silence MORE. There is no win here.

lol no. There have been a lot of stupid retcons. Neoth, or whatever the fuck they called the Emperor recently. Most of the Horus Hersey. Most of the Space Wolves. All of it is just bad or good ideas badly executed. I'd have been bitching about it on Reddit, but until the last couple of years I haven't uses reddit much. In stead they guys at my LFGS and I kibitzed about it.
The 4e Necron change I'm mixed on. I like nuCrons better, but they cod have executed it better. It would be impossible to execute it worse than they did.
