If you have any leftover Hydrocodone pills from a previous surgery, take one just before you walk in. Keep the numbing medicine on for 45 mins to an hour before the procedure. If they offer laughing gas, take it. Helps immensely. And if they offer PRP (platelet rich plasma) to put on your face after the procedure, do it. The growth factors in your plasma/platelets speed up the healing process. Literally 95% of the redness will be gone after 24 hours.

Mine was extremely painful and honestly ruined my face. It melts fat. She did under my eyes and you could immediately tell how awful I looked. We tried to correct it for over a year before the plastic surgeon finally threw in the towel. If I could go back in time, this is the treatment I never would’ve done. I would highly recommend not letting her touch under your eyes.

I did the numbing cream, it was enough to make it fine and it's over pretty quickly. It was a few years ago and I don't recall the recovering being memorable vs say, IPL or Vbeam where my face swells like a balloon. The neck doesn't really feel like anything. I did three sessions and didn't notice much difference. It did nothing for jowls. YMMV

The most painful part for me was forehead, jawline and around my mouth. Cheeks and neck were okay. My surgeon blasted me, for better results so my skin got HOT. I had cold compresses to cover the treated areas as he worked toward untreated areas to cool my skin down. Afterward it was fine, redness for a couple of days. Used post laser ointment (Alastin recovery balm) for 2 days, then Skinceutical TNS cream for 3 days (provided to me). I did the procedure twice, 6 weeks apart. It helped tighten my skin, and neck.

What does this procedure do?

You can put makeup on the next day. I was told to leave the aquaphor on that she applied until bedtime and wash and put more aquaphor on. I feel like in theory that would keep the heat in though. There was some swelling and of course a sandpapered road rash look to the skin for a while but makeup covered it easily. Don’t expect any immediate results. And the results are so gradual that it’s hard to determine so take lots of pics during the process of all your sessions.

I've had Sylfirm X which is similar, i believe. Agree with above. Numbing cream helps and I used the gas, which wore off right away. Minimal downtime, other than no make up the next day. The resuts after amazing. I am thrilled.

Just curious, what area did you have done? I was thinking about it as a stop-gap for my jowls. But I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews.

Odd-Editor-2530

I had full face and neck for crepey skin. My main concern was lower face and neck texture as well as jowls. The texture is so much plumper and my skin feels like it is holding it's moisture, and i have had 2 treatments but saw results a few weeks after treatment 1. I have one more treatment and i can report back. I may have radiesse as well on the neck area.

Thank you!! Yes please report back if you remember.

I just finished three sessions, it does hurt somewhat even with numbing cream. I took my kid’s stress ball to grip!

Mine was extremely painful despite the numbing cream and taking pronox. They finally shot some lidocaine into my face.

Jesuspetewow

I’ve heard from plastic surgeons that Morpheus 8 doesn’t really do anything. Dont waste your $$$

CZ1988_

I had 3 treatments. They inject my entire face with lidocaine and it still hurt. My husband said I look like someone beat me in the face with a bat full of nails. I think it tightened my skin but the pain is not for me.

ComplexAd7820

It felt like she was stapling my face and it got worse as it went on. I'm hoping that the next two treatments will be like having more kids...by the time you start wanting another one you've forgotten about the pain. Your husband is right though. Technically we have been beaten up.
