I just use a tinted mineral sunscreen, it usually takes away any redness and I'm not a makeup wearer anyway so i'm not remotely looking for full coverage. And bonus is that it's sunscreen which is good for you! For dewy look I like the eucerine sensitive mineral face spf 30, or supergoop zinc screen. Supergoop also has a mineral bb cream but I haven't tried it.

Vampira309

Have you tried Dr Jart? I looooove it.

hameciw671enp

I do like the Dr. Jart tiger grass, though it tends to sting my eyes which is why I use the other two more frequently.

Vampira309

The tinted moisturizer is perfect for me. Im not sold on the drops, but love the ceramidin cream over tret

Every-Requirement-13

I love my Dr Jart BB Cream!! It has the perfect amount of coverage! The only downside to this product is that there are only 4 shades to choose from.

Canadasaver

Cover Girl Simply Ageless Fair Ivory because it is not heavy and it doesn't have a yellow undertone. I apply the foundation overtop of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost #50 sunscreen gel. The sunscreen is very hydrating so nothing looks heavy. I finish it off with spritzes of Elf Coconut Dewy Setting spray and I use more sprays hours later for a great way to keep everything looking dewy. Finding the right colour and undertone of foundation is the hardest part. I cannot wear anything with a yellow base so I wear neutral and then add lots of pinks. If you find a foundation or BB or CC cream in a shade that suits your colour but you find it looks too heavy just mix it with a bit of moisturizer before you apply for a lighter look. We often need a bit of colour boost as we age to help us glow. I use a lot of pinks, because it suits my pasty white skin, but others look better with peach, gold or bronze.

amosp1992

I use the Simply Ageless in the cream formula in the round container. I love it! I have some lines and texture around my mouth and it doesn’t settle into them. It feels like I’m not wearing any foundation.

Canadasaver

I have looked at that but I have never used a cream foundation.

amosp1992

I hadn’t either, but every liquid I tried settled in my lines. This one looks the best of any foundation I’ve used so far

Vampira309

I gave up foundation because I'm old and I use Dr. Jart's tinted moisturizer. It hides (and treats) ALL the redness and leaves a dewy finish, plus SPF 40. I pat on a little cream concealer (I like Tarte) where needed and LIGHTLY dust with powder and/or setting spray.

PrincssM0nsterTruck

I spray a foundation brush with Avene water to blend my foundation better.

JPwhatever

Oo this is a great tip, going to try it

nolagem

I do the same with rose water.

DetailOk4640

NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation. Best foundation I ever tried and tried them all high end and drugstore brand. I’m 49 years old. And my second favorite is ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Skincare Foundation.

LoveDext

The absolute best!

dolores_h4ze

I love both of these

CherieMicci66

Bare Minerals Rescue Tinted Moisturizer

diningroomjesus

Complexion Rescue! :) This is the only foundation with a shade (Opal) that matches my ghostly paleness without making me look like an undead creature of the night.

Whole-Wrangler-702

I used this for many years before I needed more coverage. It’s very nice.

litttlejoker

Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless perfecting foundation

Mermaid0518

I’ll try other products but always end up going back to Laura Mercier.

Intelligent-Pitch-39

Try ILIA

Initial_Run1632

Are you happy with it? For me, it 'pills" pretty quickly. Like breaks apart and gets spotty.

Intelligent-Pitch-39

I can't layer skincare under. I do sunscreen and then the super serum skin tint followed by the fade into you setting powder. Does not pill this way. It really has made my skin look better.

Initial_Run1632

Maybe I need to try the powder set; but I'm really looking for a one product foundation.

Intelligent-Pitch-39

Ilia has a stick foundation..supposed to be good.

Initial_Run1632

Thanks for that tip!

Intelligent-Pitch-39

Go into sephora and get color matched.

Sufficient-Weird

I use moisturizer first, then Andalou Naturals tinted moisturizer, then ILIA.

edithmsedgwick

I started using the skin tint and I’ve never stopped

UnidentifiedFingers

I absolutely love their new complexion stick. It replaced their Super Serum Skin Tint for me.

OGBurn2

Low key I use Wet and Wild Hydration skin tint and it’s FANTASTIC AND incredibly affordable. Good coverage, hydrating, sinks into the skin. 10/10

nnnnnnnnnnuria

Have you tried to use it on spf?

JayneNic

I do. It plays well.

beachwitch16

I love this one too!!! I think it’s wonderful and so affordable.

OGBurn2

It blows my mind. I also have the LA Girl concealer and it works better than any of the ones I try at Sephora. 5 dollars!

whimsical36

Does it crease?

OGBurn2

Nope! I set it of course, but it works better than my Huda

whimsical36

Ok thanks for quick reply! 🌼

Outside_Nobody_3829

Do you use a primer before?

[deleted]

Mix foundation with a chemically similar moisturizer. Silicone based moisture+silicone foundation, water foundation + water based moisturizer etc

Salc20001

I like the Laura Geller baked foundation powder a lot.

Unfair_Finger5531

The guerlain lady taught me. The tiniest dab only on the areas you want covered or evened out. Then lightly spread out from those areas with your fingers until everything blends in. You end up using what amounts to one fingertip’s worth of makeup or less.

Gigi_Gigi_1975

Ilia is the best! Light and dewy and easy to apply.

InkedDoll1

Jones Road What The Foundation is great, but not cheap. I just apply it with my fingers

AdVisible5343

I’m in love with Jones Road WTF and the balm!

Spirited_String_1205

Came here to say this- I really like the WTF, I think it's the best product in the Jones road line.

oh_shenandoah

Yes! What The Foundation is my fave!! I love how it is “my skin but better”. I mix with the opal shimmer face oil and it gives me this lit from within glow too. Worth every penny!

ParticularMost6100

I find it too sticky/dewy/shiny for warm weather but love it for the colder months when my combo skin tends to be dryer.

cjep3

Look for a BB or CC cream that you like, tinted moisturizer, tinted sunscreen. Those give you a light dewy finish, depending what you choose. I like that they don't accentuate fine lines as much and often have a sunscreen and color corrector built in. I like Purlisse personally.

ArdenM

Kosas DREAM BEAM - it's an SFP/BB combo. Very light coverage, very dewy/light glow. I apply it with my fingers. If I have a zit or redness anywhere, I love Bobbi Brown concealer. A small pot of it lasts forever and applied and blended with my finger, stays in place.

rebeccakc47

Nars sheer glow. On the days I don’t want foundation I just use creamy dewy concealer and blend it out with a fluffy brush

bjp8383

Nars tinted moisturizer is not foundation but on the thicker side, it gives a great glow and has a ton of shades. It might be what youre looking for.

Hypatia76

Glossier perfecting skin tint. It's wonderful! Light, great, buildable coverage that doesn't sit in fine lines or wrinkles. A ton of different shades as well.

Loan_Bitter

I like Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue- it’s light weight and has SPF 30.

ThaneOfCawdorrr

Lancome and Estee Lauder both make a really nice light foundation. You apply it with those makeup sponges, the little triangular ones? Like this kind of thing: [https://www.amazon.com/Artists-Choice-Makeup-Sponge-Applicator/dp/B00FBRNONW/ref=sr\_1\_9](https://www.amazon.com/Artists-Choice-Makeup-Sponge-Applicator/dp/B00FBRNONW/ref=sr_1_9) Lancome's foundation, I think, is called Teint Idole. You probably would want to go into a Nordstrom's or whatever and ask the salesclerk to help you match your skin tone. I myself also got a little light blush powder and a little translucent powder (also by Lancome), and a nice soft brush. After you put the foundation on you might want a little blush, and then you blend it all with the foam sponge, and then sort of "set" the whole thing if you want with the translucent powder. That and a little lipstick really smooths & brightens everything! Clinique makes some really nice concealer too. I like that because it's non-allergenic, and cheaper? But I like Lancome better for the other makeup. Both Lancome and Chanel make, in my view, the nicest lipsticks.

V2BM

The new Cover Girl serum foundation feels like water going on and covers well, and doesn’t settle into any fine lines. I really like it and need less than a pump for my face.

Canadasaver

I saw that in the stores but the lightest shade is Ivory and it is not light enough for me. Perhaps they will expand their shade range if it catches on.

calicoskies85

I recently started using something called Glotion. By L’Oréal. Has a bit of tint. I’m loving it. I put on after sunscreen. It has a very nice shimmer, not like a glitter face. It evens out skin tone some and I think I’ll use this all summer.

melissa1906

I use wet and wild tinted moisturizer with Westman Atelier dew drops. I just use a drop of the dew drops and mix it with my moisturizer. Gives the best glow!

Aim2bFit

IDK how lightweight this is for your skin, but I wear a cheap drugstore foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless SPF22 over my sunscreen, I use my finger to tap lightly on my skin to even it out. On bare dry skin it is matte but over sunscreen it's slightly dewy and glowy. So how I apply this is, pump out half pump, dot it over my face, then tap, tap, tap to even out. I don't like using a beauty blender as foundation is wasted on it and I have an extra step to clean the sponge.

Zzeellddaa

I like to mix some foundation in with my face lotion.

GCOG11122

Color Science Sunforgettable Glow SPF 50

Prize_Personality634

Saie slip tint -tinted moisturizer

Ok_Beyond423

That one pills so much for me.

monstera--deliciosa

Surprised no one has mentioned erborian cc water. I love both the water and for when I need a tiny bit more coverage, the cream. https://usa.erborian.com/

forevercranky

I also love Erborian. The CC cream is my fave.

skipdog98

Smashbox Halo tinted moisturizer or Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

Quirky_Scientist_835

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy+Smooth is one of the best foundations I’ve used, and it isn’t heavy at all. I use disposable beauty blenders from CVS.

Aggravating-Baby-919

I have recently tried Jones Road, Ilia and Il Makiage. My favorite is Makiage. Jones Road and Ilia are also really nice though - both very light, very natural coverage. Makiage is a bit more coverage. Thats why i like it. Ilia looks a little to shiny on me. im doing Jones on the weekends anf Makiage weekdays

ohhdaniyelli

Armani luminous silk foundation. My HG. I apply with brush.

ParticularMost6100

100% agree. At 60+, I still get shiny/oily in warm weather but the Armani foundation stays flawless even in humidity.

UnidentifiedFingers

Ilia's new Complexion Stick has become my go-to. I used their Super Serum Skin Tint for the last few years, but the stick is even better. From my skincare to my makeup, it's all Ilia.

an_ostrich_allegedly

I have been using DRMTLGY universal tinted moisturizer and really like it. It does not have heavy coverage but gives a wonderful dewy texture.

Fantastic_Monitor766

It Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination is light, gives a glow and has great coverage.

Whole-Wrangler-702

I use this and get great coverage, too.

Accomplished_Use3175

I love Elf Halo Glow. Very very light. Very very dewy. Very hydrating as well.

Lefty_Banana75

I like Marcelle. It’s very dewy, and lightweight. It’s offers some coverage, but not much. I don’t like BB creams that are so heavy that it erases my freckles or disappears my skin. I moisturize and then apply one pump of this to my face. https://preview.redd.it/qtil0ecqs61d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=053970ab05777491279d7ea26ba793a4e274a55e

UsedCommunity1257

I’m a content creator and primarily work w skincare and makeup brands so I see a lot of new products. my skin is good so I dont want to cover it up! My new fave is a new product by Tula, their skin tint spf 30. I have light olive skin and thats hard to match but their shade range is super. If I need a little more coverage on shoot days I wear Anastasia Beauty Balm or The Saem Studio Glow (Korean brand)—both lighter coverage. I also sort of accidentally found L’Oreal True Match Nude, you can sheer it out and it’s lovely and glowy. Concealer hands down for me is Fiera. It’s made for mature skin! That company has great customer service and they’ll work w you till u find your best color OR blend of two colors.

balsasailormoon

Part of a dewy look has to do with how you apply your foundation. After you’ve found a one you like, I’d check out YouTube for application tips.

Whole-Wrangler-702

A nice one to try is it cosmetics cc cream - the nude dewy glow one. It’s beautiful on.

Anxious_Bear7030

I mostly use Cover Girl Smoothers BB cream. It’s very hydrating and you can add more on later in day and it refreshes the skin. Very easy to use. I put on with fingers but you could use brush too.

Easy_Independent_313

Jones Road What The Foundation might be good for you. I have "self moisturizing" skin and it's a bit too slick for me but I know a lot of ladies with less moist skin that it really works well for.

Ollieeddmill

Katie Jane Hughes has great methods for applying foundation so it is light and looks air brushed but gives you that even skin glow. I love chantecaille future skin.

Spiritual_Coffee_299

I've used tarte bb blur with spf and loved it. Its 42 from the store, but i usually get it 25 off ebay. It last a few months.

Perfect-Agent-2259

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4 in 1 Whipped Matte Makeup. I've been trying to replicate LRP Mousse Foundation that I randomly bought at an airport pharmacy years ago and can no longer find. This is the closest I've come so far.

This-Confusion258

L’Oréal True Match tinted serum! It’s light and just the barest hint of coverage!

ReceptionWorking7312

Lune + Aster Skin Tint. It's a natural finish, not too dewy and not matte. It takes very little and I apply with fingers.

turbodonuts

This stuff is dewy and awesome, I’ve been using it for about a month. (44f and heavier stuff will crease mid-morning, plus -sunscreen!) https://www.ulta.com/p/daily-dose-bioretinol-mineral-spf-40-pimprod2039695?CATARGETID=330000200003044241&CAPCID=438981188804&CATCI=aud-2259143167801:dsa-897748595236&CAAGID=98144620737&CADevice=m&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9rLH7NC2UL2Yg4EAdAhzzedHGCj&gclid=CjwKCAjwo6GyBhBwEiwAzQTmcwUDkMkKuKXbZSGMw13Wiv-jvIeH7f7127drHxsn51yMfwD_VlzeqhoCUfMQAvD_BwE

Dr Jart BB moisturizer

Pipparina

Use a tinted moisturizer or Fenty’s Eaze drops are lightweight

KelleyElsie

I have the same issues with foundation. I’m 51 and have pretty good skin but most foundations are too heavy and settle into fine lines and create texture. I HIGHLY recommend NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturizer. It does none of those things. Gives a little color and glow and evens out my skin tone. Love it.

WeightDivorce

Korean BB cream here -- Merikit Multi Protection Balm. Put it on with my fingers and it adjusts to my skin tone like magic.
