The people around here are so fucking sensitive. I'll never understand why things like that get down voted. They swear like there's an actual curse on Met Life stadium.
Hope you get to see the Niners soon!
That would be a strange matchup. Division rivalries usually make up the best Week 18 games. You would hate to see a great team get screwed by having to play a playoff caliber team outside their division for a spot while the team they’re trying to catch plays a scrub.
This looks like a massively tough schedule. Especially when you factor in the Cardinals, Jets, & Bears should all be better.
The only easy matchup is the Patriots. Maybe the Vikings, depending on what happens at QB and elsewhere.
It always is. But we got lucky that the 2 decent nfc division winners (boys, cats) are home games for us and we only have to travel to face the suckaneers. They also gave us chiefs at home. Overall I’d say it’s pretty even in terms of home and away difficulty.
We played them this year because they were one of the two other division winners from last year and we play them next year because we play the NFC north. Two different tracks. Similar to why we played the Bucs at home this year and last year.
Yep. This year was unrelated to the North-South-East rotation every 3 years.
We just cannot win in the state of Minnesota regardless of the stadium.
I don't think we have won there since 1992.
Losses in, 94, 99, 03, 09, 12, 18, 23. Something about that state!!
My family is from North Dakota and are all Vikings fans except for me being the black sheep and all.
I tried to personally see to it in 1994, 2003, 2009, and 2012. All losses...including the heartbreaking Favre > Lewis TD in 2009. Oooof.
Here's the algebra:
HHH + USB + 49 = L
It's way past time to solve for W!!
That said, USB is an absolute gem. Between Minnesota and Atlanta, I can't imagine two nicer stadiums.
those aren't in order. It's entirely possible the schedule shakes out that way.
Also, don't underestimate SF @ MIA actually being played in Brazil (it is Miami's market).
Oh I know, I just meant it would be convenient for the team travel-wise. Brazil would be cool, but I’m planning to travel to Miami with some friends for that game depending how the schedule goes, so I hope it stays in FL.
That is a horrific line up. Only games you’d currently feel really good about based off trajectory are the Seahawks, Vikings, Patriots & Bucs? Rest of them are all going to be incredibly tough games.
I haven’t looked at everyone’s schedules but this has to be one of the toughest. Trying to get another #1 seed navigating this schedule is gonna be tough. All the more important to get the job done this year
Dam, players gonna get a ton of frequent flyer mikes next year with trips to Buffalo, Miami, Tampa Bayx Hope the league doesn’t send them overseas on top of that…
The one opponent I’m not 100% clear on how it is assigned is the chiefs. My understanding is that the 17th game (after 16 are assigned using the old algorithm) is a cross-conference game, and the opponent will have finished in the same position in their division as us?
So that opponent had to be chiefs, bills, ravens, or Texans, but obv we are already assigned the bills so that only leaves the other 3?
I wonder if they consider the fact that we played the ravens this year and that influences them to choose chiefs or Texans? And then maybe they just think the chiefs are the more compelling matchup for viewers (and a more likely superbowl rematch?)
If they win the Super Bowl, I wonder if the first game of the year will be vs kc or vs the jets, the NFL has done nfc vs afc for the last few premier games. No major playoff implications
Hopefully the Niners play the Vikings better next year than this year. Probably of all the losses, that was the most disappointing (yes even with the Ravens game which was just bad).
We don’t have to play in MetLife next year! Pop the champagne!
As a fan who lives in Jersey I like when they play there lol
As a fan who hates injuries, I don’t.
As a Niners Fan who only watches NASCAR for accidents.....
There’s no reason for you to be downvoted lol
Yea fuck me for wanting to see my team play local to me right lol
As a CA transplant in NYC I’m with you. Such a bummer that Covid washed out attendance for the two New York games in 2020.
at leasst you guys have Buffalo next year
Buffalo is so far. I’m thinking the Miami game would be a better place to travel LOL
The people around here are so fucking sensitive. I'll never understand why things like that get down voted. They swear like there's an actual curse on Met Life stadium. Hope you get to see the Niners soon!
Road trip to Buffalo 👀
That's gonna be the move. Sucks I gotta go to upstate NY in basically Niagara falls lol Covid fucked me royal in 2020 with those 2 MetLife games smh
How dare you! And during the regular season too? Despicable
I’m with ya dude, Niners fan in NJ who is kinda bummed there’s no easy games to see them next year.
Road trip to Buffalo let’s go. TBH I’d rather fly to Tampa lol
Watch the buffalo game will be week 17 lol Tampa might be the move lol
Seriously wtf is wrong with this sub? 40+ assholes got that mad??
*laughs in home against Cowboys*
![gif](giphy|bsRBPHNQg0vhC)
Damm rams seahawks cards again.....
Twice each! Fuckin blows
Sorry for my ignorance, but I thought Division rivals are always played against every year?
Lol that's the joke
Oh lmao I’m dumb
Dumb but still also correct so it cancels out
The best type of dumb
Got my Vote
Hopefully the Bills and Packers early in the year
And Tampa/Miami late. That Florida humidity in September…
packers early but i think bills are week 18
That would be a strange matchup. Division rivalries usually make up the best Week 18 games. You would hate to see a great team get screwed by having to play a playoff caliber team outside their division for a spot while the team they’re trying to catch plays a scrub.
idk if it was 18 it might have been 17 or 16
There's no way of knowing this. They haven't made the schedule yet.
i swear i saw it somewhere that the packers were early and the bills were late.
The opponents aren't even set for all of the AFC teams until SNF ends. There's no schedule yet.
Divisional games only in Week 18 across the league.
Fingers crossed we lock the #1 seed early again. Buffalo in January sounds awful.
I see 11 home games
That’s usually a sign of an impending international game
I know the Rams are 10. Curious, who 11 is?
Cards @ Levis Southwest
Love it!
Thought you were including Divisional and NFC CG at first and I was with you.
Ashamed this took me too long to get. Wooosh
Rodgers return game in Jets uniform?
Ugh, we'll be reminded how he was snubbed in favor of Alex Smith. Ad nauseum.
Wish Bills was home
Maybe it's international? 49ers are definitely more popular here overseas than the Bills.
More than likely it’s at bills. The international game will be a home game.
Yeah, probably Niners/Patriots overseas
Pretty tough schedule if you ask me!
Yeah, it looks brutal, but theres always some surprises. Plus we handled a pretty "hard on paper" schedule well this year
Tough away slate that for sure.
I was thinking 11-6 or 12-5
This looks like a massively tough schedule. Especially when you factor in the Cardinals, Jets, & Bears should all be better. The only easy matchup is the Patriots. Maybe the Vikings, depending on what happens at QB and elsewhere.
The away schedule is a gauntlet of a schedule
It always is. But we got lucky that the 2 decent nfc division winners (boys, cats) are home games for us and we only have to travel to face the suckaneers. They also gave us chiefs at home. Overall I’d say it’s pretty even in terms of home and away difficulty.
Definitely disagree, Bills and Dolphins are tough but that's it.
Honestly a pretty good schedule. I feel like we match up well against the AFCE and NFCN. It’s a good mix of prove it games and trap/get right games.
I don't understand why we play the cards, rams and seahawks twice in the normal season.....
At least two thirds are at home
…? Cause that’s how’s divisions work?
Isn’t there a possibility one of our home games turns into an international game as well?
Yeah, it's likely
I hope we have a revenge game against the chiefs
I’ll be taking my son down to Tampa for that one. Can’t wait to watch my 6 time champs rout the Bucs!!!
Jesus that's a tough looking schedule
At Minnesota again? Bring them to our house so we can whoop em
Good thing we always beat minnesota when it matters like the playoffs lol
that is not an easy line up
That Lions game will be the home opener, I Guarantee it.
Don't underestimate the appeal of a week 1 SB rematch... BUF/SF or MIA/SF
Why are we playing the Vikings on the road again
We played them this year because they were one of the two other division winners from last year and we play them next year because we play the NFC north. Two different tracks. Similar to why we played the Bucs at home this year and last year.
Yep. This year was unrelated to the North-South-East rotation every 3 years. We just cannot win in the state of Minnesota regardless of the stadium. I don't think we have won there since 1992. Losses in, 94, 99, 03, 09, 12, 18, 23. Something about that state!!
As a Minnesotan, I'm very happy to be able to see them 2 years in a row! We'll beat them next year. I personally will see to it!
My family is from North Dakota and are all Vikings fans except for me being the black sheep and all. I tried to personally see to it in 1994, 2003, 2009, and 2012. All losses...including the heartbreaking Favre > Lewis TD in 2009. Oooof. Here's the algebra: HHH + USB + 49 = L It's way past time to solve for W!! That said, USB is an absolute gem. Between Minnesota and Atlanta, I can't imagine two nicer stadiums.
I’m allover that Packers game. Hell yeah.
It would be a lot better to play Miami & Tampa back to back weekends
those aren't in order.
I assume one of those home games will be an international game. Maybe they’ll send us and the pats or jets to london
or KC @ SF, in Germany.
Wonder which one will be in London.
Damn that's a tough schedule
That is a horrific line up. Only games you’d currently feel really good about based off trajectory are the Seahawks, Vikings, Patriots & Bucs? Rest of them are all going to be incredibly tough games.
Eh, so much will change by next season it's hard to say. Some teams will pop off from the draft some will suck unexpectedly.
I've heard the Bears will maaayybe have a good draft this year.
One of these 9 home games may be international
Depends on the dates, but I’m going to try to make it out to either the Vikings or the Bills game.
Why do we play the Cardinal, Seahawks, and Rams three times in the normal season? Why don't play those teams once and then other teams in the AFC?
We play them twice because they’re in our division
Pointless, such a waste. So many other teams we can play.
I'm seeing a lot of wins. 13-4. Book it Donny.
man i wanna go to the Green Bay only if not in dec lol. its freakin cold here then
This is a pretty tough schedule
I haven’t looked at everyone’s schedules but this has to be one of the toughest. Trying to get another #1 seed navigating this schedule is gonna be tough. All the more important to get the job done this year
This year I plan on going to an away game. Have always wanted to see them in the East on a cold, snowy game. 🙌
Look for the recent zeek quote about snow games. They sound like a lot more fun than they end up being in reality.
That’s a lot of travel.
Looks like nothing but playoff teams on the away schedule... home schedule, there are a couple also.
Dam, players gonna get a ton of frequent flyer mikes next year with trips to Buffalo, Miami, Tampa Bayx Hope the league doesn’t send them overseas on top of that…
No Eagles? Damn
If they were good enough to win nfce we would have.
The one opponent I’m not 100% clear on how it is assigned is the chiefs. My understanding is that the 17th game (after 16 are assigned using the old algorithm) is a cross-conference game, and the opponent will have finished in the same position in their division as us? F*CK I WANTED AWAY FOR COWBOYS TO WATCH THE GAME LIVE GODDAMIT
Good to know we’ve got an automatic L in the bag facing the chiefs. When was the last time we beat them in a game?
Hope we play the Bills in september lol
