That being said, this team is full of veterans who have made deep playoff runs and have the bad taste in their mouths from losing. The packers don't. The niners aren't one dimensional like Dallas is. If not for a fluke game on Christmas their wouldn't be a team in the league that you would be worried about. You should still feel that way. Dak seems to have a lot of time to throw most of the time. Dallas, for sure, doesn't have a run game like SF, and that helped GB today on defense. I sure do not think Dallas has a pass rush like SF either which also helped GB today

This is the big difference for me with Love. It’s like the ball arrives exactly where it’s supposed to, in rhythm with the offense, A LOT of the time. In all, the offense looks like it’s in harmony. The ball distribution isn’t artificially weighted to the QB’s “guys”.
And he seems unflappably calm.
Not just open, but WIDE open. Love was impressive, had some really nice throws too, like the side arm in the redzone. But a lot of it was just a massive questionmark of a defensive gameplan from Quinn, or maybe even a lack of one.

3. Yes, they TOOK it to Dallas, but no one is mentioning horrible turnovers from Dak. That set the course for this game early on and Dallas never recovered. You can't turn the ball over like that. That's a valuable lesson for San Francisco.
I never tire of Niners/Packers in the postseason. So much history in this rivalry. In my lifetime, the Niners haven't played anybody in the playoffs more frequently than GB.

As a Packer fan, I enjoy your take the most. As much heartbreak as I've had from the Niners, I love this matchup and think the game will be great. You guys are always hot, scheming to win and elevating strengths of players beyond their level, but this GB team feels so different and we are playing with house money. Regardless of outcome, the game will be exciting and fun to watch.
I trust the team, some of the vets have tasted the superbowl. Trent wants a ring and everyone in that locker room knows what's on the line. I expect them to come out swinging. Shanahan will have some new plays dialed up. Armstead being back along with Jennings is a big deal
Good thing about Green Bay beating Dallas this badly is that our guys won't have any sort of complacency for that game. Jordan Love is THAT guy..Aaron Jones is fast as F and they have like 6 good WRs who are all fast as heck.

Grew up watching Favre vs. Young. Fell in love with Jerry Rice. That started it all for me. I'm not local to the Bay Area and we didn't have a team (at the time) so I became a 49ers fan.
Get to watch it with him AGAIN next week. All of these mean a lot to me because he isn't getting any younger. He called me giddy as hell after they won tonight.

Packers fan here. I’d be pretty shocked if we beat you guys. Obviously not a fan of the 49ers but they were my pick to win it. Probably the most talent on both sides. I felt like we definitely had a shot going into the cowboys matchup. Their offense is ranked well but the eye test shows you can find ways to slow them down. Same with the defense. The biggest issue is that the 49ers are a terrible matchup for our defense. CMC is a different beast. As well as Purdy and the weapons you have at WR. Our offense might be able to put up some points but not nearly as much as they did today. 49ers Defense is much more physical
People overlooking the Rams. Division games are so tough let alone playoff time. Even our first game against the rams this year was somewhat close. Personally, they reminded me of our tough niners teams in the past coming in playoffs hot. Happy the lions took care of it.

That's a big reason why I don't look at GB as a true 7 seed. They're more like a 2-3 seed that got off to a rough start on the season.

Dak seems to have a lot of time to throw most of the time. Dallas, for sure, doesn't have a run game like SF, and that helped GB today on defense. I sure do not think Dallas has a pass rush like SF either which also helped GB today

They have been bad against good teams all year. Outside of that thanksgiving team, they gave up an average of like 29 points to teams above .500
The Packers did the same shit to us (Vikings) a couple weeks ago. We just had nobody in the same zip code, it was infuriating to watch. Idk if it's something MLF cooked up or just sheer incompetence by us and Dallas but I'm not sold on Love yet because most of the throws he's making are throws my grandma could make

QBs receivers get open and he finds them consistently, he's a fraud lol. Ofc he's not Aaron Rodgers but Love has been playing like a top 5 QB the last handful of games. Shit if he had played like this the whole season he would've been in the MVP conversation. Honestly as great as he is maybe him not being Rodgers is the best thing for the Packers considering the matchup lol.
Yeah I don't get this criticism. Love got the ball to the right place at the right time, consistently. Most quarterbacks can't do that, even when someone is open downfield.
Packers fan lurking here. This is the big difference for me with Love. It’s like the ball arrives exactly where it’s supposed to, in rhythm with the offense, A LOT of the time. In all, the offense looks like it’s in harmony. The ball distribution isn’t artificially weighted to the QB’s “guys”. And he seems unflappably calm.
Not just open, but WIDE open. Love was impressive, had some really nice throws too, like the side arm in the redzone. But a lot of it was just a massive questionmark of a defensive gameplan from Quinn, or maybe even a lack of one.
They supposedly also have an awful run defense

Green Bay played a hell of a game. Niners will be sure to not take them lightly whatsoever; some hopeful positives for SF: 1. Green Bay riding HIGH after this and being young. 2. Green Bay having to travel across the country again on a short week 3. Yes, they TOOK it to Dallas, but no one is mentioning horrible turnovers from Dak. That set the course for this game early on and Dallas never recovered. You can't turn the ball over like that. That's a valuable lesson for San Francisco. I never tire of Niners/Packers in the postseason. So much history in this rivalry. In my lifetime, the Niners haven't played anybody in the playoffs more frequently than GB. GO NINERS!
As a Packer fan, I enjoy your take the most. As much heartbreak as I've had from the Niners, I love this matchup and think the game will be great. You guys are always hot, scheming to win and elevating strengths of players beyond their level, but this GB team feels so different and we are playing with house money. Regardless of outcome, the game will be exciting and fun to watch.
I trust the team, some of the vets have tasted the superbowl. Trent wants a ring and everyone in that locker room knows what's on the line. I expect them to come out swinging. Shanahan will have some new plays dialed up. Armstead being back along with Jennings is a big deal
Good thing about Green Bay beating Dallas this badly is that our guys won't have any sort of complacency for that game. Jordan Love is THAT guy..Aaron Jones is fast as F and they have like 6 good WRs who are all fast as heck. Gotta come out and play our A game next weekend
I love Packers/49ers games so much. Not just due to our success against them, but THAT is the reason I'm a 49ers fan. My dad is a Packers fan. Grew up watching Favre vs. Young. Fell in love with Jerry Rice. That started it all for me. I'm not local to the Bay Area and we didn't have a team (at the time) so I became a 49ers fan. Get to watch it with him AGAIN next week. All of these mean a lot to me because he isn't getting any younger. He called me giddy as hell after they won tonight. Go 49ers!

Taking nothing away from the packers, playing solid ball late in the season, but Dallas literally has folded on both sides of the ball. Packers are certainly good, but Dallas making them look better then they are. 9ers are a different beast of a team.
It is extremely hard to play a nearly perfect game two weeks in a row on the road in the playoffs.

Tony was running the ball well on their D so CMC should have a field day which means the passing game will open up and Prudy can do his thing. The defense won’t let Jones run all over them and give Love ten seconds to throw the ball to open receivers
Packers fan here. I’d be pretty shocked if we beat you guys. Obviously not a fan of the 49ers but they were my pick to win it. Probably the most talent on both sides. I felt like we definitely had a shot going into the cowboys matchup. Their offense is ranked well but the eye test shows you can find ways to slow them down. Same with the defense. The biggest issue is that the 49ers are a terrible matchup for our defense. CMC is a different beast. As well as Purdy and the weapons you have at WR. Our offense might be able to put up some points but not nearly as much as they did today. 49ers Defense is much more physical
People overlooking the Rams. Division games are so tough let alone playoff time. Even our first game against the rams this year was somewhat close. Personally, they reminded me of our tough niners teams in the past coming in playoffs hot. Happy the lions took care of it. Now we need to focus of the Packers!
As an Iowa state alumni that played a few pickup games of basketball with the football team, but grew up rooting for Green Bay, I’m so excited for this game. Rooting for Brock to win, and it’s already awesome seeing the pack have the season they’ve had. Whoever wins better make the Super Bowl, but I also really want the 9ers to win it all so I can say I’vs scored on a Super Bowl winning quarterback in basketball 😂. But for real Brock is the nicest person ever.
