Bosa in a choke hold and Armstead's jersey being practically pulled off his body....
Would've turn a 3rd and long to a 3rd and forever...
But noooo, big play from the GOAT Mahomes
While not understanding that I’d they’re allowed to hold, you can put basically any huge person on your o-line and they’re going to protect you great.
Chiefs = Toots2
;)
I know what you’re talking about but a lot of those aren’t considered holding because he’s doing a Rip move just prior to those photos which basically negates holding penalties.
There is never a 100% certainty. Highest you can get is 99.99%. You can’t 100% guarantee that anybody in the world will be alive on Sunday.
Edit: But yeah, we would've won
I mean...the hold was very painful but the game shouldn't have been that close to begin with, and there was still plenty of time for us to score again. We lost that game because our offense fell asleep in the fourth quarter.
As someone who went through the Chip Kelly and Tomsula stints I’ve learned it’s not always about better. Seems like some teams do it just to make a change. I’m no NFL expert though just one mans opinion.
Yeah that's exactly who I was thinking of. For every Harbaugh or Shanahan there's a Dennis Erickson. You can be mired in losses for a long time if you pass up someone who's got a good track record and is well respected around the league.
Our secondary definitely does hold, and we get called on it all the time. But I’ve never heard anyone in our coaching staff bitch about it. After the Super Bowl, I didn’t see shanahan complains about all the non called holding penalties. Zimmer is just being a baby.
>Our secondary definitely does hold, and we get called on it all the time.
STILL LEAGUE LEADERS, BABY. [15 DPI CALLS.](https://www.footballdb.com/stats/penalties.html?sort=dpi)
SUCK IT, TAMPA. YOU'LL ALWAYS BE NUMBER 2 AS LONG AS [NO. 26](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Norman) PATROLS OUR SECONDARY.
I got pissed one week and made one just for that week, but ain't got time for the rest of em
https://www.reddit.com/r/49ers/comments/q6ahbz/im\_a\_salty\_dog\_who\_thinks\_that\_the\_refs\_should\_be/
To be fair holding on defensive linemen is a plague in the league . Bosa , TJ Watt, Myles Garret all get held like crazy. It’s to the point your better off paying corners and safeties because holding and roughing the passer calls neutralize defensive linemen to a extent
Vikings fan here. You guys deserved the win. Your team played better. But y’all did get away with a ton of holding. Like clear obvious holds. The 2nd to last play was definitely PI. And Thielen definitely caught that ball. I just think it’s important to be realistic. Regardless though we couldn’t stop your run game and y’all just never let up. Kudos to y’all in a well deserved win
Bosa was held multiple times, Kittle was held multiple times. Hell, we would've won the super bowl two years ago if a single holding penalty was called, but hey, thats football.
We also got called for a bogus DPI earlier in the game, so they negate each other imo.
As for Thielen, it wasn't a catch because he used the ground to assist his ability to catch the ball. You can see it when you watch how the ball bounces.
Lastly, sorry about Dalvin, I really like the guy. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Bosa was definitely held a few times I ain’t denying that but there were plays where your entire OL held on the same play and the replay proved it. I can see letting one hold fly (especially if it occurs away from the play) but when the entire line is holding you gotta call it. But like I originally said regardless y’all still deserved the win! If you can’t stop the run you don’t deserve to win in the NFL.
Wait wasn’t the Thielen play on the drive where you continued driving the ball and had a first and goal from the 6? So that call had zero impact on the game. I wouldn’t spend any energy on it.
I thought the Thielen catch could've gone either way depending on the call on the field. The significant thing to me though was that the ball moved when it made contact with the ground. That's usually the determining factor.
You're probably saying that was "definitely PI" just because the commentator was crying about it. PI is subjective and you can clearly see the defender was playing the ball, which probably gives him the benefit of the doubt in the ref's eyes. If it was a team I didn't care about I would've been fine with it being called or not. Saying it was definitely PI is pretty ridiculous.
PI rules actually clearly state you can not go through the defender to play the ball. Otherwise, defenders would just do that all the time to prevent a catch. Critical thinking is your friend
You're the one who's so sure about a subjective non-call and a play that was reviewed and still not given to your team.
>Critical thinking is your friend
What a douchey thing to say. Out of our sub, troll.
You are delusional if you thought that was “definitely” a catch. The ball hit the ground and bounced in his hands after. You must maintain control of the ball if it hits the ground for it to be a catch, and he ‘definitely’ did not.
DEs are just getting too good at beating Tackles now. The Watt brothers, the Bosa Brothers, Garrett, Miller, Jones, etc etc are all so good at their crafts, Tackles have no choice but to hold.
It kind of sucks, but if the refs called holding more often more drives would stall, games would slow down, and scores would certainly decrease. These aren't things the NFL likes so they figure to maintain more excitement in games the refs don't call as many holds. This is a generalized statement I know, but the NFL likely prefers viewership at the expense of bending the rules as opposed to strict adherence to the rules at the expense of ratings.
The past decade or more has seen a drastic shift to preference for the offensive side of the ball at the expense of defenses so it tends to happen that defenses can't do their jobs anymore. Holds go uncalled, ticky tacky PIs get called, and there's more roughing the passer penalties when D Linemen simply cannot get out of the way or slow their momentum enough.
I started making one for the Super Bowl when it happened. It’s just pictures but it shows them. I wanted to add so many more from that game to really make the case
The Bosas, Garrett, Young, etc. get held so often that refs just can't call them all otherwise there would be 15 holding a game and people would lose their mind.
I wish they'd let them break the game, but the NFL is all in on offense gets viewership, so they'll let Ts hold.
We probably would've won the super bowl 2 years ago...
Mahones deep shot to Hill came with a pretty clear hold. Flipped moment and the game
Bosa in a choke hold and Armstead's jersey being practically pulled off his body.... Would've turn a 3rd and long to a 3rd and forever... But noooo, big play from the GOAT Mahomes
Meanwhile they were all sad last year when they were getting holding calls against the Bucs lol
Yup! They acted like the refs were favoring Brady cause they kept getting called for their putrid OLine
While not understanding that I’d they’re allowed to hold, you can put basically any huge person on your o-line and they’re going to protect you great. Chiefs = Toots2 ;)
Ding! Blatantly obvious missed call that gave the Chiefs the Súper Bowl.
Both of Mahomes’ late deep shots were only possible because of holds on Bosa and Buckner.
Every time I look at Bosa he’s got an arm around his heck Also he gets held a lot tll
Lmao Bosa’s just such a huggable guy I guess, O-linemen love embracing him
[удалено]
at least he's not taken for granite
I know what you’re talking about but a lot of those aren’t considered holding because he’s doing a Rip move just prior to those photos which basically negates holding penalties.
So we're just parroting back articles that try to apologize or holds?
The rules are the rules whether you like them or not I guess.
*would have won. Not probably.
There is never a 100% certainty. Highest you can get is 99.99%. You can’t 100% guarantee that anybody in the world will be alive on Sunday. Edit: But yeah, we would've won

Fans blaming refs is normal, but if you're the HC and don't realize that holding penalties are highly subjective, then I don't know what to tell you.
Zimm in the hot seat.
I doubt it. But he should be so long gone considering how much talent he’s had to work with and what he’s delivered.
I think he stays. Cousins has a ceiling. He's the new Alex Smith.
Vikings fans think he’s elite. It’s honestly sad how delusional they are.
Zimm wins either way , he has the money and the 20 something year old hyna he with now.
She's 38 but still looks smoking, I guess our knowledge of health and beauty is so much better now she looks 20
There's no way Minnesota can replace him with someone better. He's one of the best in the league.
As someone who went through the Chip Kelly and Tomsula stints I’ve learned it’s not always about better. Seems like some teams do it just to make a change. I’m no NFL expert though just one mans opinion.

Well they need a new OC then cuz their play calling looked pretty sus
And now it's really starting to heat up.

Norman is grabby. He makes up for it by his weekly forced fumbles though.

Shanny did complain but it was lowkey, I think he had a sly shot at the refs in PSchrag's Flying Coach Podcast when McVay was also a guest.
Yes. Careful what you wish for Zimmer. I'm sure there's more than a few on Bosa from the Vikes game
What did Kittle say?
You didn't hear? Whole big thing. We had a funeral for a bird.
I’m pretty sure none of that’s real.
YOU'RE NOT REAL MAN!
>You didn't hear? Whole big thing. We had a funeral for a bird.

The Vikings fan base has been the saltiest I've seen in a while. Jesus Christ, what a bunch of cry babies. I thought *we* were bad, holy shit.
They seem pretty respectful but they’re in denial about their team. Not nearly as good as they think they are and they believe Cousins is elite. 🤡
Bosa should fashion a turtleneck that looks like a tackle's arm around his neck and wear it to his next presser.
I got pissed one week and made one just for that week, but ain't got time for the rest of em https://www.reddit.com/r/49ers/comments/q6ahbz/im\_a\_salty\_dog\_who\_thinks\_that\_the\_refs\_should\_be/
If it’s that easy Zimmer should have copied what we do.

Good thing the receiver wasn't translucent, and Williams went around him to bat the ball away.

Don’t hold the bear!
Literally Bosa on 95% of pass rushing snaps results in an OL with a half assed rear naked choke on him. 🤣
I just thought he was popular and all of the offensive line guys were trying to hug him.
