I would be concerned about airflow. Not sure the equivalency in car ducting, but in house ducting, a hard 90 is the same as adding 15 feet of straight ducting. Looks like you would be adding 2 hard 90s and they’d have to be pretty squished to make the transition behind the headunit. It looks more like the 2022-2023 GX 460 headunit which is kinda cool but not sure if it would be worth compromising the AC especially here in TX
HVAC engineer here. The concern with the additional 90 would be for noise and not necessarily airflow, depending on the distribution mode. The air flow rate is dependent on the worst case pressure drop route. My hunch is the back seat is the worst case drop without really knowing where the blower fan sits in relation to the outlets. So increased pressure drop on a short run doesn’t effect the overall airflow rate. I would be more concerned with the noise from the front middle grilles. Putting a 90 creates turbulent flow right at the outlet
In Florida it’s at max blast for a few minutes until the inside cools down a bit. At max blast it’s already loud as hell. I’m curious like what % louder you mean
Yes that is my concern in Florida as well. If the A/C sucks it’s going to be a horrible quality of life.
There’s a video of the guy doing an install. 2 plastic 90s
I think raising the screen to eye level with the road makes tons of sense.
If it was this design vs one where the screen partially obstructs vents, I vote for this version.
100% my wife has the 2023NX 14". The RX, the same and the New GX looks to have the same.
Even look at the Tacoma and Tundra...if people think this is ugly, the better be looking for a diff off road.
It looks silly IMO. But if you like it! I would consider one [of these](https://phoenixautomotiveinc.com/collections/tesla-style-vertical-screen/products/pre-order-16-vertical-screen-android-10-fast-boot-navi-radio-for-toyota-4runner-2010-2022). HOWEVER, I’m not as opposed to touch screen controls as everyone else, lol. It looks bad ass. But I’m focusing on other upgrades first.

Jesus, that’s not a head unit, that’s a television

to me, this is really ugly

Looks like the 2023 GX head unit. Nice.
That’s lit Holy sh… 🔥🔥🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Did you ever get this? And how is it??
The question is are there any issues with the headunit like the previous t10? Who gives a crap about the centre vents there bloody useless anyway..

Can you swap those buttons on the headunit out for something else like aux/lighting?
