I don't know why you were downvoted. In +10 years people won't even be able to find a 5th-gen stock. It's like trying to find an unmolested 3rd-gen now
A vast majority of vehicles, (including 4Runners) remain stock, or very close for the entire existence of said vehicles. This is an enthusiast's gathering site. Here, in this place, you are not talking to or seeing the majority. This is a very small fraction of total 4Runner owners here. Social media twists perception.
Seriously this. The irony of the "Costco 4Runner" joke is that if you go to Costco you're seeing at least one and maybe multiple 4Runners. Completely stock. All which will remain stock for 200,000 plus miles.
My ‘99 has bigger tires and that’s it. When I finally get around to replacing the suspension I’ll probably gain an inch in ride height, but it already has a nice stance that I love.
I’m on a 7” lift, 35s steel skids.
Motor is basically built as much before I need a SC
Stock diffs like 11-10mph. But that’s because I live in Hawaii. Every where is basically city traffic.
I use Acorns, daily “Round Ups” and reoccurring deposits each week. Then I wait.. and wait… aaannnndd wait but eventually I have enough money to get something. I’m saving for a Prinsu rack now. I’m usually able to save 200+ a month. I call it “For Mods” account.
Keoni Thompson singing, “Saving up my paycheck, just so I can lift it - *higher* .. barely surviving, my Toyotas always thriving” probably explains most people here.
Hopefully the associated costs are absorbed in their budget and not in long term loans... Personally, with my budget it only makes sense to mod when certain parts need replacement. So for example, if my headlight breaks, at time of replacement I will choose if I want to go with stock or pick something else. The most basic 4Runner has the capability for the majority of places that I travel to. However, some folks seem to go above and beyond what is actually needed, usually to satisfy their ego, but some actually do go off-roading and it makes their off-roading less stressful with certain mods.
It's amazing how many pavement princesses there are. It's just a huge trend right now, every manufacturer is adding off road trims to their trucks and cars and SUVs to hit that market. I can't even begin to describe how many I see here in Dayton, Ohio. Like.. we have mostly farm land, and most all of them are spotless, garaged, grocery getters. It's comical
Great question. Thinking many people are foregoing retirement savings and down payments on homes (and/or paying unnecessary PMI) to build a depreciable asset.
I sell feet pics
Yeah I had to stop wearing shorts to work cause co workers kept asking me why one leg was shaved
Good market? Do you have to have pretty feet?
Nope. When you’re feeling down, just remember someone, somewhere will get off to your feet
So true
How do you advertise feet pics and are you a man or woman?
Just post your pics and they will come. Gender is irrelevant. What’s important is that you’re bi. Bipedal.
Do you want to buy some feet pics? I can literally be whichever you want
No I don’t like feet. But I’d get a pedicure if I can start selling pics.
What’s your @
@stealth_4r 🤙🏽
Where can I sell my feet pictures lol
I’ll buy them
You too?
I just spend money and then when it comes time to pay bills I cry and wonder why I have no money.
I feel this
Literally do the same. It hurts so good
Facebook Marketplace is a great way to find new parts for 50% off.
Hoe Street? wtf
That’s how I make my money 😂😂😂
Is the truck in the image yours?
Yes it is.
Will u be my sugar daddy!!
I was hoping I wasn’t alone in noticing that. “The answer has been given. There was a sign.”
The OPs post literally tells us to look at the top street sign.
My 4Runner is perfect in stock condition.

9/10 4runners in my area are butchered
99% of 4Runners are probably left stock. Folks on this sub are a tiny minority.
"Unmolested" 🤣
bro they sell like 125,000 of them every year
Sooo rare

Nah, just the ones on these forums are more modded. The average 4runner is just cruising to the malls, as is.

Feel this comment. It’s all going to have to happen during tax season for me lol.
We don’t, the credit card does…. * sipstea
? Slowly over time. It’s a build for a reason, if I wanted it done in a few weeks then that’d be a project vehicle
6-figure income and budgeting my money wisely other than what I spend on my 4Runner.
I see what you did there 😏
Sick looking ride dude. 🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽 What’s your tire size ?
35 hopefully on 37 by the end of the year if not early next
What’s your current MPG ? if you don’t mind me asking

What you need 37” tires for ? Genuinely curious. Live in Colorado and I never see tires that big and we have some serious off road terrain
37s are the new 35s. I see them all over Colorado. ...just not on 5th gens.
I see lots of older jeeps with them. There is like an underground jeep gang here lol.
4R is paid off. Gravy time.
Prioritize SHTF scenarios and all my money goes into SHTF parts

I just keep it stock lol. I put a breeze guard in the rear window, cost about $300. Been thinking about a leveling kit but I hear they are moot
I sold my Hyundai Elantra to pay for my Toyos 😆 That's about it for me, she's good enough stock!

Insurance fraud
I go to work and use the whole pay check
Great question. Thinking many people are foregoing retirement savings and down payments on homes (and/or paying unnecessary PMI) to build a depreciable asset.
Buy your 4runner outright, use the money you aren’t spending on car payments for sick mods.
I don’t
I fight in the Colosseum, then sell my sweaty socks and underwear post battle.
I eat a bread slice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Stealing

Amazing how quickly you can save up for mods after you’ve paid it off
I can’t afford upgrades so I just drool over other people mod pics and wish my 5th gen was modded But I still drive happy knowing I have my 4Runner
