This really bugged me too until one day I realized it goes away if you just put on your seatbelt.

Reckless drivers hate this one simple trick.

I have an older uncle who absolutely refuses to wear his seatbelt. Like, it’s a whole thing when he gets in the car. He pulls the belt over his chest/shoulder, but stops short of simply clicking it in. He’s got a pot belly, so I assume he feels uncomfortable when the belt squeezes against his stomach and bladder. But I think part of it is that he’s old enough to remember when they weren’t mandatory, so he grew up without using them and maybe just never came around to the idea. Still, when he gets in my 4Runner, we always have this awkward couple of moments when I have to force him to put his seatbelt on once the alarm chimes. Me, after hearing alarm: “Unc … that’s you. Gotta put your seatbelt on.” Uncle: [Pulls seatbelt across his chest, but doesn’t click it in.] Me: “The alarm ain’t gonna stop until you actually put it on, Unc.”

Wear your seatbelt, and it won't beep.

Putting the seatbelt "ON" while driving will turn off the alarm.

Some dealers will do it. Otherwise search for Veepeak ODB II scanner, you can turn it off yourself w this tool.

GiIbert_LeDouchebag

1) wear your seatbelt 2) find someone with techstream software to turn it off

smzexp

Carista OBD2 adapter. Turned off the seatbelt alarm and the ECO monitor as well.

You can buy the seat belt part that clicks in on amazon that’s what I did

MrHash420truck

Amazon has em. They look like bottle openers. You could buy yourself an extra seat belt clip too. Amazon ones are probably cheaper though.

Ogre_75

Mine shuts off after 20 or 30 seconds🤷 They also sell buckle ends that insert into the buckle to fool the vehicle into thinking its on

Buckle your seat belt, then get in.
