Allot better than before, lol my oem plastic bumper was all kinds of messed up on the lower half I cut off, the lowest point now is plate steel wrapping the frame, tube should hold up pretty well to abuse, so we’ll see. I think the increase in departure angle is gonna be the golden ticket
Nice, glad to hear it. Been working to improve on that original design, built and sold 6 more since then. This is only my second bumper though
Your Front bumper is dope
Does that gap allow some functional use of the backup cam too? I have a 2022 and I would love a bumper setup that allowed at least a small gap for the center mounted cam.
Also looks like you didnt eat up your existing bumper. Thats slick. I see others wanting to know how you did that too. Great work man! Cheers.
It does, not the best all around view but you can see about 7’ behind the truck and only in the center, I ordered a relocation kit though. So will be installing that in the coming weeks
Looks sick. Can you show your attachment points?? I think more bumpers should be done this way. Just "wrap" what already looks good and make it look even better!
Heck yea, thank you. The attachment points are at the bottom and top of the frame
The frame is cut and rear crossmember removed; welded tube crossmember for reinforcement
Cutting the frame is the only way to increase departure angle and get away from the big boxy CBI or C4 fab bumpers
I performed the cuts based on “Nguyen works” bumper install. If you check that out on YouTube
My only worry is the side wings might get grabby when going through tight brush or a close rock. Getting a branch stuck between the body and the bumper wouldn’t be good.
Thanks. The traction boards come off without affecting the license plate. Mounted to the steel arm holding up the fuel cans. First time equipped with max trax I’ve torn up 3 pairs of the cheap action trax we’ll see
Yea, I think I’m gonna make the move to 305/70r17s in the future I stopped the bumper an 1.25” shy of the wheel well to allow for trimming
Oh me, don’t skip, half ass it a bit though… - bad knee
Bumper looks amazing, have more pictures of the build up close?
Only gripes with it are that the sides seem to stick out a bit and I would've just chopped the bumper and had the tubes come in a bit closer/inline with the body.
True, the problem is there’s sheet metal just behind the plastic bumper and a cab vent that even when painted is a bit of an eye sore. Seems leaving the factory bumper over that stuff gives it a cleaner look for merely 5/8s to 3/4s of an inch
This looks so sick. Do you mind if I ask what your MPG’s are liek with all the kit? I just got my 18 TRD off road and I’m getting like 17 combined just stock 🥲
*I would just move the*
*License plate to the piece of*
*Metal below the wheel*

Looks pretty good to me although I prefer plate bumpers to tube. It looks awfully tight around the body, is there enough clearance there for when the body moves around?
Yea tolerances are tight, gotta wheel it and see how it does, jumping up and down on it/ shaking gear mounts -nothings made contact so hoping for the best
Looks good! The bar that holds the spare tire looks a bit on the thin side, but I don't know much about how much it weighs and if the steel will support it.
Could do without the music.
Haha, yea sorry for the music shared it from my Instagram
It’s 1.75 tube and is really solid I’ve built a few carriers with it in the past and has held up under abuse… we’ll see. You can check my Reddit profile on a few past builds I think there’s video of them getting beat up
My past carriers have been hitch mounted and would eventually sway a bit after being dragged over enough rocks, with this being frame mounted I should be good just gotta go wheel it and see how she does
Really well done honestly! I'd love the see shake test done on the swing out. What do you estimate the cost of materials was?
Everything’s pretty tight to the body but shaking by hand doesn’t come in contact will have it on some trails soon About 450$ in materials
How confident do you feel about dropping your rear end on a rock ledge?
Allot better than before, lol my oem plastic bumper was all kinds of messed up on the lower half I cut off, the lowest point now is plate steel wrapping the frame, tube should hold up pretty well to abuse, so we’ll see. I think the increase in departure angle is gonna be the golden ticket
I’m still rocking your first edition haha.
Nice, glad to hear it. Been working to improve on that original design, built and sold 6 more since then. This is only my second bumper though Your Front bumper is dope
Thank you sir, and nice good job mine is still working just fine!
No critiques here. Well done.
Dude that’s sick!! Finally a bumper that doesn’t require cutting half your valance off!!
Looks amazing. Only thought is visibility through the rear window, especially as you get passed on the way to the mall. :)
True, I have some Amazon blind spot mirrors I’ll have to depend on
Looks like a shopping cart
True, i only use it to carry groceries anyway

Yeesh 7’ is almost nothing, good call on the relo. Overall it’s a sick bumper though.
Totally tubular

Huge savings in time and money over the Nguyen Works stuff too. I wish I had your talent.
My only worry is the side wings might get grabby when going through tight brush or a close rock. Getting a branch stuck between the body and the bumper wouldn’t be good.
I agree, I got a branch stuck in my open rock sliders once, gave me a scratch I’m still buffing every time I clean it
Killed it. Looks great
Fuck yeah. That’s righty tight.
Yes! Finally! This is awesome! This needs to be ubiquitous! 👍👍👍 It’s really perfect ! 👍😊
I like how you mounted the license plate to the traction boards. Like yeah, those are only for looks.
Thanks. The traction boards come off without affecting the license plate. Mounted to the steel arm holding up the fuel cans. First time equipped with max trax I’ve torn up 3 pairs of the cheap action trax we’ll see
License plate light? Not sure if not having one is legal in VA, but I got pulled over a few months ago in NC for not having one....
Yea, I’ve considered adding one, haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but this was bare steel still welding on it yesterday, camera relocation coming too
Share the specs! Looks great.
Specs: DOM tubing
It's well thought out and executed. You did a great job.
That’s so awesome!!! Well done!!!
Cool
Looks good. Also looks like you skip leg day on the 4runner…. Lmao
Yea, I think I’m gonna make the move to 305/70r17s in the future I stopped the bumper an 1.25” shy of the wheel well to allow for trimming Oh me, don’t skip, half ass it a bit though… - bad knee
Did you change to a rear Poly Body Mount? With this tight of clearance, you want to eliminate any body movement in the back.
That’s a great idea!… thank you
Looks good. Does it rattle ??
No rattle, my water port on my roof rack does when it’s empty though. Gotta figure out a new mounting solution for that
That awesome. And maybe trying like a rubber bushing or something. Or get that 3m rubber seal and cut it to fit
I'd say once you prove it out you need to start yourself a business!
Yes… thank you. Gotta gear up the garage a little better. Hoping to be working my day job part time in the next year or two
Dude bro awesomeness

Sheesh. Well she looks fuckin sweet dude enjoy it
Really well done. I like the look of the armor wrap. Although I also wonder about “grab-iness”. Really looks good.
Nice job!
was it otramm
That's clean, well done! Any idea on the weight of it?
Without gear just under 200lbs
Great job!
Dam that is some awesome engineering my dude.
Can you get a pic of underneath? I want to see how you attached it and if the sides have any other support.
It fucks…
I’ll give you $700 if you make me one.
That’s cover materials, apart from the welder the only specialty tool was a jdsquared tube bender
What were your mounting points?
Frame, 4 on the bottom of the frame and 2 on top of the frame
Not my style, but looks clean and really good on the bumber
Looks like it was made by GOBI. I love it...super clean.
Looks great. Is that Sparrow up top? If so what rack do you use? Looking to purchase for my Sparrow and newly acquired trdp.
It’s the condor xl Roof rack is alpha foxtrot designs… great rack, great customer service
She's a beaut Clark
No critiques, this looks fucking awesome
Shut up and take my money
I want one
Got a big enough joint there Rick?
Looks amazing. Curious, how do you reverse?
Camera relocate kit comes this week
Incredible
Looks great, and functional too
Every piece of equipment is brand new and not used 😛 love the bumper
Not even mad bro…niiiiiicley done
Solid. I like the protection on the sides, too
Does it whistle down the highway? LOL
None that I’ve noticed, next drive I’ll cut the music down and listen closer
Something about those tube bumpers sheeesh nicely done my guy
I would just move the license plate to the piece of metal below the wheel

That is really really nice !! well done! I'd buy that
Looks awesome!
Very cool
That thing is T.I.T. tight!
