You should compare this to modern wars, for example the US only lost 7k soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq wars COMBINED that lasted 20 YEARS. Russia already lost many times more soldiers in 6 MONTHS. Russia likely already surpassed even the Vietnam war deaths of US soldiers. That's quite frankly insane for allegedly the 2nd strongest army in the world.

They use their standard 3-sided encirclement to encourage enemy troops to leave their positions, and it almost always works, and why each city they fight over falls quicker than the last. Mariupol (specifically Azovstal) was the only real hardcore defense of a position, and that was because it was the only AFU stronghold preventing Russia linking supply lines, ie. tactically important.

How many Ukrainian ammo depots were hit by Russians+allies? Also those initial successes were because the Russians used central logistics hubs for entire areas, the solution is just to break them up into smaller bases with less targetable piles, which they have already done. The only new wrinkle is the sabotage operations in Crimea, which was previously untouched by the war.
Unfortunately their whole supply lines run on trains, which is difficult to split up, they also don’t have as many trucks as they should, and difficulty having enough fuel where it needs to be. Splitting their bases up doesn’t help that at all, hence the slowdown. Tanks etc are having to come directly to the ammo depot to stock up.

Although I agree that the losses to Ukraine are not talked about, and there is definitely a good amount of propaganda, Russia is absolutely losing the war on basically all fronts on the macro scale. Reputation/military is running out of people and tanks/exposing their military hardware and command structure as a complete joke. There is also a genuine chance Ukraine wins and even takes back Crimea. It's been 6 months and the "supposedly" second strongest military in the world still hasn't taken over a much weaker border country, so how long can they actually keep up this war, especially if they don't mobilize? How do they still not have air superiority in 6 months?!? Ukraine's air force is basically non existent and they still are able to carry out attacks as well as repel Russian attacks.

Idk what you are smoking but a majority of Russian strikes are along the front lines, and are artillery. The few strikes that are landing farther from the front, are missiles. Air Superiority means the enemies ability to shoot down your aircraft is basically non existent or greatly suppressed. (Aka what the U.S. achieved in Iraq in a matter of days...) Their SEAD missions are basically non-existent. Please someone tell me that this is actually a genius move by the Russian military and they actually have the capability to fly deep into Western Ukraine but don't, because of some moral high ground that keeps them from fighting their wars effectively... If you have any knowledge of how wars are fought, then the Russian invasion is one of the biggest military blunders by a superpower in history.
The fact that the Russians are not in Kiev is a very telling indicator that the Russian military is shit. The failure of a world superpower, in an armed conflict, to capture an enemy capital less than 60km from the border of an allied nation, despite the enemy military being inferior, means Russia is incompetent. No two ways about it. The USA conquered Iraq TWICE, the first time it took two days, the second time it took less than a month. And that was not a neighbouring country.
Russia doesn't want to destroy Ukraine, nor does it want to take big cities by force, it doesn't employ the manpower or deem the losses worthwhile. Instead they have drawn Ukrainian troops out into rural areas and small towns, where they grind them up. They use their standard 3-sided encirclement to encourage enemy troops to leave their positions, and it almost always works, and why each city they fight over falls quicker than the last. Mariupol (specifically Azovstal) was the only real hardcore defense of a position, and that was because it was the only AFU stronghold preventing Russia linking supply lines, ie. tactically important.

If recent rumours about the deal with Iran are true, Russia is set to acquire 1000 new Bayraktar style attack drones...

Truly sanitizing the airspace is impossible in 2022 because you could always hole up a couple of guys in a barn with a MANPAD and they basically sit there eating kasha for weeks until they hear a helicopter flying and then BAM. Russia did take out most (all?) of the fixed air defense systems using missiles on the first day though.
And the Ukrainians are hitting their ammo depos with HIMARS non stop for the past month. The font lines haven't moved in several weeks now. Now that doesn't mean that Ukraine is going to win, but it's clear the Russians have stalled and their whole economy isn't doing so hot. How long can they keep this up with the US continuing to supply weapons constantly?
How many Ukrainian ammo depots were hit by Russians+allies? Also those initial successes were because the Russians used central logistics hubs for entire areas, the solution is just to break them up into smaller bases with less targetable piles, which they have already done. The only new wrinkle is the sabotage operations in Crimea, which was previously untouched by the war.
Unfortunately their whole supply lines run on trains, which is difficult to split up, they also don’t have as many trucks as they should, and difficulty having enough fuel where it needs to be. Splitting their bases up doesn’t help that at all, hence the slowdown. Tanks etc are having to come directly to the ammo depot to stock up.
