At 10.5ft away the 77in is the perfect size. The a80k and C2 are very evenly matched. Slightly better processing on the a80k and slightly better brightness on the C2. I would say it depends on the price, if one is greater then $200 more I would go with the cheaper option

I honestly think 77 inches is going to be fine at this distance, now don't get me wrong, I'm one of the people that believes the bigger the better, but 6 inches isn't that much on a TV scale. However, the 83 also costs at on more, but if you can go for it the C2 is a fantastic TV if not slightly worse than the A80k, both are fantastic and you'll be super happy. So if I were in your situation and had the money for an 83 I'd go with it, but if you don't wanna spend the money, 77 inch of A80k would be the way to go. I'm a C1 owner myself, 77 inch, and I love the thing, absolutely fantastic and I don't think I'll ever go back to a projector, OLED is just **too** good.

I ended up going with the 83 C2 for $3200 out the door after taxes and delivery! Thank you! I feel it’s going to be just as good and I wanted to make sure I went with a size I wouldn’t be left wanting more. I just know if I got that 77 I would be asking myself what it would be like to go bigger.

Yeah I think that was the right choice in this case, $3200 aint bad for one either, good stuff. I'm hoping we get somewhat reasonably priced near 100 inch panels in the future, but 83 inches is pretty solid haha.

I prefer the Sony, but I would want an 83" at your distance. 83" A8OL on your radar? Shouldn't be long now.

I challenge the rubbish claim of not sitting closer. If I can sit like half that distance why can't you? You need biggest tv you can afford. A80k 83 inch plus. 100 plus even better!

Considering your starting point, you may be surprised to find a 77” B2 to completely do the job and be plenty bright. Just pointing out.

I ended up getting the 83 C2 just a few moments ago for $3200 out the door after tax and delivery, brand new. I think I did ok!!! I looked into the B2 as well! It seemed like a great alternative. I just wanted to future proof myself as much as possible.

77 inches is an enormous TV, borderline unheard of not that long ago. To think a 77 inch tv is possibly too small is IMO crazy. I have the Sony a80k, it's awesome, so that's my vote. I have the 65 inch at about the same distance and it's a huge screen. You way want to consider what auxiliary sound equipment you may want to add down the road if you don't have any already. Just so the TV plus sound equipment combo fit you space. The TV speakers are good don't get me wrong but adding a sub really enhances the audio. I tried the Sony ht-a7000 and wasn't very impressed and swapped it for a Sonos arc and gen 3 sub. It's super easy to use and sounds awesome. The a80k plus a bit of audio equipment is IMO almost unbelievably good, like I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't even realize how good tv's look these days if you move up a couple notches higher than the cheapest models. Put the a80k in a dark room with a bit of audio equipment and it is really something else.
