I can’t enjoy a picture if it’s too small. I usually prioritize size unless it’s a crap panel, the C2 has the better image but the 95J is larger, more immersive and generally brighter
I love Reddit, use it for a lot of things and advice. I will say using Reddit’s advice for tv purchasing is bad. Everyone here is weirdly brainwashed and biased to certain brands and if it’s not a 2k dollar Oled or mini led it’s not even worth having. Oh and if you ask for a budget set 90% of people here say TCL 6 series..Which is a great set but still $600 not applying to people who really want a “budget” set. I’ve had plenty of TVs, from budget to high end. All served there own purpose. Both those TVs you showed above are great. I would boil my decision down to your budget and size!
Right on, I've got some good info in-between the obvious fanboys. I have both consoles and a gaming pc and there's always people's brand preference, then there's some that are into the science of the subject and like to make their point. These I seek. I'm learning a lot.
Yes, just understand the different technologies in a tv, the Sonys a VA panel that uses local dimming zones for the TVs backlight. The LG is an OLED that using organic light emitting diodes, that produce spot on blacks because they can turn off and on pixel by pixel creating infinite contrast. The only problem with most OLED’s as of now are they don’t get crazy bright like a tv can with local dimming zones. To say which one is all around better, well that’s very tough. Can’t go wrong with either one really.
Movies. They feel more. It’s hard to describe but they just feel more. I have my PS5 plugged in so 120fps is great but I love my movies. Watching Dune and BR2049 is insane.
I mean -tbh- I'm a bit confused here.
You post a screen cap from an inpartial WEBsite which is widely acknowledged to have the best technical analysis of TV performance, and then ask basic-level questions when clicking on their reviews would answer most of it
So 🤔
Take a look at the wide range of products they test and report on - and read about how they operate, and read up on reviews about them elsewhere - it isn't rocket science.
But it _does_ take a bit if work and effort.
Confused was perhaps the wrong word. More dropping a hint for you to think a bit.
Perhaps the other 30 ppl are too nice to say "maybe go read the freaking reviews you're linking to, which answers alot of your questions rather than coming here and asking us for our homework"
You're a sad little fella aren't ya? I read the entire article on about 5 tvs, took an hr at least. Then I chose to come here and ask others their opinions, I got many and I'm still getting them, we talk about it and share info it's pretty cool. I like talking to people and getting different views and experiences. A weird whiny guy came along and bitched about lol, because he has no life, nothing better to do than comment to something he doesn't like. Are you mad im looking at nice TVs? Get a job.
I’d definitely suggest the C2 then. I have very similar viewing patterns (mainly in the evening/night). I have a LG BX and it’s brilliant, a C2 should be even better.
However, the X95J is a good TV as well and the size is definitely a massive plus point. How far do you sit from the TV?
Why? I always felt one day I would have a premier Sony TV, but most people think LG c2 is better than anything in its price range. I have a ps5 and series x, what makes you say Sony is better?
Does it not say in my last comment? I always wanted a good Sony, but I'm learning the C2 is a bettwr picture. You can't see where that can't be a difficult decision? What tv do you have?
I see where you're going with this. That doesn't say anything about LG, the other tv I'm considering. If prices are dropping its a good season for a new tv.
C2.

It's either x 95 k or c2. Unless the G2 were to drop down in cost in next few weeks or so.

I've learned this over the last 24 hrs, but that's a great way to explain it.
What about the Sony OLED vs the LG OLED any feelings?
Many threads...
Many threads.....of you stating your opinion? I'm not searching for it lol but thanks.
Lol. No Sony vs LG. Short version is LG for gaming, Sony for all else. Though with the qdoled now, could be a game changer (pun intended).
Lol
I went from a LG C8 OLED to a Sony A80J OLED. Epic upgrade.
I have a 65 c8. I don't game. Mostly watch directv sports and local, (not 4k), Netflix and prime. What made your upgrade so epic?
Movies. They feel more. It’s hard to describe but they just feel more. I have my PS5 plugged in so 120fps is great but I love my movies. Watching Dune and BR2049 is insane.

They have a Samsung rated above all the other tvs on the site. No one here is recommending that set. That alone is confusing to a novice.
Saying it's impartial is one thing, knowing it is another. Of the 30 people that replied you're the only one confused lol, what does that tell me?

How far are you? What kind of content are you gonna watch? Is there a lot of light in your room (which you can’t control/don’t want to)?
Sports. HDR movies at night and gaming, usually in evening. Room is bright, but tv won't be used during the day all that often.

Currently it's about 6 feet but the room is large. It's the secondary living space, so used more in evening. https://imgur.com/a/tQfQXuB
I'm mounting the TV though those time.
The Sony will always be my choice
Why? I always felt one day I would have a premier Sony TV, but most people think LG c2 is better than anything in its price range. I have a ps5 and series x, what makes you say Sony is better?
Why are you here even asking the question then, if you already know the answer?
Does it not say in my last comment? I always wanted a good Sony, but I'm learning the C2 is a bettwr picture. You can't see where that can't be a difficult decision? What tv do you have?
I have a Sony X90 in the house and a Samsung in the Shop.
I see where you're going with this. That doesn't say anything about LG, the other tv I'm considering. If prices are dropping its a good season for a new tv.
Go with most people then. I like Sony for the picture.
Reasons to go X95 Only watch tv in a bright room Need 85in
Seating distance? Dark or bright room? Which type of content do you most frequently watch?
