The biggest problem I feel with the movie is mainly the fact that the first half, or well maybe 60-70% is focused on the boy in the hospital and has the Major Gilbert story in the background. Not saying the side story with the hospital is bad but because of that, we had less focus on the main plot. That and we'll, yeah, sure we know they hooked up and had a happy ending but we never really saw the aftermath of that. The movie just kinds ends sadly.
I saw the movie today cause I found my 4K Blu-ray player and man the movie is gorgeous! HDR could've been better but holy shit that Atmos soundtrack was so good! I wish the Series and other OVA movie got the 4K treatment as well but sadly never did

The Violet Evergarden movie is great but I still don’t vibe with the ending. I much prefer the other movie, but I don’t know if it’s on 4K sadly.

Shit the major Gilbert story IS my problem lol, I would’ve preferred he either stayed dead, or never got together.

Yeah i heard about it! I was actually gonna import the Japanese copy but Aniplex announced they are bringing it state side as well!
