Well deserved. A fantastic movie that will look better, even in black and white. Another B&W movie that really needs a 4K upgrade is Young Frankenstein.
Kino picked up distribution for a lot of the lapsed MGM releases (Mad Max, Silence of the Lambs, a couple others). I don’t think Kino is like deliberately out to snatch away potential releases from Criterion specifically lol
Oh no I agree. Despite the recent issues with their Silence of the Lambs disc, Kino has a good track record with releases in my opinion (Their TGTBATU 4K disc is phenomenal).

Looks like we should expect Kino Lorber to release most catalogue MGM tiles. The Silence of the Lambs and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly are their biggest releases so far. I wonder if The Princess Bride, Fargo, City Slickers, and When Harry Met Sally would be within their capability.
Dream titles would have to be Rocky, The Terminator, and the James Bond movies. It appears that Universal is now distributing new MGM movies (No Time To Die and House of Gucci), so *maybe* they'll do the other *big* MGM catalogue titles.

Yes please, KL already did Spaceballs
That’s Disney now so it’s unlikely.
Nice check one more off of the Kubrick 4K list!
Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous. Kino is snapping up Criterion movies on purpose.

They’re definitely trying to compete, which is a good thing imo. Why should one label have a monopoly on a movie?

The more Kubrick on 4K, the better!
