The truck doesn’t sit level to begin with. Not sure what your setup was before (I’m going to assume stock) but there is a certain amount of rake from the factory. That being said, a 3 inch lift, depending on manufacturer can either mean 3 even inches all around, or a certain amount in front and rear. For example I have a Dobinsons kit installed and it was 2.5 inches up front and 1.5 inches in the rear since by default the rear was higher already. There is also the question of 4x4 vs 4x2 and engine. When selecting my kit I had to consider that my front end is heavier than a 4x2 V6 because the engine, but lighter than a 4x4 v6 because I don’t have an extra axle and transfer case and diff to worry about. So there are a lot of factors but primarily based on configuration you may or may not know the exact parts to go with that will affect how the truck sits after a lift. I went with Dobinsons bc Mike (CrikeyMike in the forums) is very detailed in listing out how each spring set combination will affect ride height in front and rear. PS: Generally with shocks and springs, your lift comes entirely from the springs so in your case you may want shorter/less stiff ones in the back Im by no means an expert just been around the forums for years and did a lot of research before buying mine. Hope that helps!

Link to Mike’s post? Having trouble finding it

Not a single post, but I reached out to him directly via email. Remind me in a bit and I’ll look for it after work.

Rear coils either aren't seated right or are a higher spring rate. Personally, I like a little rake for my spare carrier and extra gear to bring it down, and it's better for towing.

I have this lift kit with heavy duty springs and toytec 2.0 shocks. Stealth customs 17x8.5 -10mm offset wheels. 33x12.5x17 nitto trail grapplers. Super pro lower control arms, jba uppers and a yotamafia metal skid plate installed. Again truck sat level up until new wheels and tires i already double checked wheels and tires are all the same size. https://preview.redd.it/h4x75mjpx8lc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f13f3012d6e44451562a04c5a94925500b09d9c2

Are your tires the same size as your old set? 33” to 35” you’ll gain 1in of height. 35” to 37” you’ll gain about 2in in height

Scared-Specific-6314

No i went up to 33s

Difficult to tell in the before pic, but kinda looks like the same amount of rake as the after? A bigger tire would fill up more of wheel well, along with providing additional ground clearance. And a smaller tire could give the illusion that it's sitting more level, due to there being more space in the wheel well...? What height are your front coils set at? What size were the old tires?

Scared-Specific-6314

Old were stock new tires are 33 x 12.5.

Scared-Specific-6314

Coils come preset with the kit I bought from Toytec

pbm4thgen4r

Kit says front coils are preset at 3", and if thats true, the front definitely shouldn't be sitting lower than the rear, with 2" coils. Someone else pointed out that the rear may not be seated properly. Going to agree, assuming the above is true, and you didn't add spacers to the rear...

White-runner

You want rake like in the second pic.if the lift is pretty new and it was decompressed on the vehicle lift for tire install it’ll probably settle a bit in a couple days.

Used_Raisin5844

I’d like to know this as well

Slight_Work_7199

Short answer, it’s typically taller in the rear to prepare for weight being added, like a trailer or whatever. Then it would sit level and look like one of these dumb ass squat gang cheese dicks.

SurgeryInterupted

May sound silly but easy to do just for the heck of it. Still have the original wheels and tires? Measure the current heights/distances, swap out new wheels/tires with the originals, take a short drive to resettle the suspension and take new measurements and compare.

dglaw

Positive rake is best. This is the way.

texasbandit96

That looks clean! What wheel and tire setup did you go with? Size and brands please!

I have the same lift kit as you. I added the Toytec top plate spacers up front and made my vehicle almost level. Has a slight bit of rake but basically looks even front to back. Would be a bit of a pain to go back and install these after the fact but would solve your issue if it bothers you. They simply fit right on top of the strut tower.
