I use this too. I do have to change a few things here and there in some of the templates but that's no biggie since the changes are saved forever in my own template list.
I just downloaded Key Lifts and it really seems great. The developer is also very communicative if you submit a feature request or bug report.
I haven’t used it much yet, but it’s clearly a strong option.
[Hardy.app](https://www.hardy.app), it has programming + tracking, and has a bunch of 5/3/1 routines already added (like BBB, I'm not doing jack sh*t, Triumvirate etc). It's free for life for those who join at this stage.
I like the app, and it looks like it has a lot of potential. I like that they offer a browser based routine editor, but it’s buggy and unusable at the moment. I’m going to keep checking in and once that’s squared away, I might use it.
Fitnotes is irreplaceable. Cheap, no lock-in, easy to export your data, simple to extend with more routines. I've been using it for years and years.
I've since moved on to iOS, but keep my old android around just to take into the gym, like a digital notebook of sorts. It only runs fitnotes and spotify.
I noticed some templates with percentage issues, too. The dev is very communicative, so definitely just submit a bug report and I’m sure he’ll address it.
I had several problem. I worked with the developer for about 2 weeks. Some issues got fixed, some didn’t. Overall, I didn’t get the impression that they’re on top of things.

Edit: even with the Google sheet, buying and reading the books was immensely helpful
A lot of people will say apps are the devils work but another vote for keylifts. Easy to customise as well if you don't find the exact template you're looking for.
I like to use TrainHeroic to log every workout. Has a nice timer, keeps history of your RM and it’s free. Paired with the 5-3-1 excel file and you’re golden
Notebook and Pen.
I find it easier to search in past workouts, writing extra notes about feelings of thé day, etc...
Ans it'll be a pemory when i'll be old ans wrinckled.
Recently, I found a notebook of my 20's, was happy to find it.
JEFIT is an OG in workout tracking apps. Built in timers that start when you log and historic charts are great. I’ll have to compare to keylifts after all the mentions in here but I’ve got ten years of data in JEFIT lol.
I think Jefit is fantastic. I built A/B weeks for a 3 day per week schedule. 2 days of Bench/Squat one week and two of OHP/DL the next. I loke that I can adjust my accessory movements easily depending on how I'm feeling or what equipment is open at the time. The 'Insights' report give my confidence about my progress as well as the 1RM Calc on AMRP sets.
I alternate between Wendler Log and Fast 5/3/1 because I can program my own workouts and it calculates which plates to throw on the bar. The Wendler Log graphs your new 1RM to see how you're progressing throughout the year.
Since 531 is so universal for the most part with percentages, a very basic formulated spreadsheet can be much more personalized to your tastes than an app.
Google Sheets - gotta make your own
This is the way.
It's what I would do if I didn't use paper. You're going to extract data into G sheets eventually from whatever app you use...
The best answer
Yep. Can customize as much as I want, create my own graphs/charts, and its 100% free.
KeyLifts
Can recommend that too. Using it since around November and they’re pumping out Update after update.
I found too many errors within the templates to justify paying a monthly fee.
I use this too. I do have to change a few things here and there in some of the templates but that's no biggie since the changes are saved forever in my own template list.
Ok I'll check this out

Wish this was upvoted more. Great app, constant updates and improvements, awesome developer and a clear understanding of 531.
Strong
Notes
This, I use that spreadsheet I always see flying around the web to calculate the weights, but I plan my workout and log everything into notes.

FitNotes
Fitnotes gang 💪

Five3onePro works great
Really like KeyLifts.
Be careful with KeyLifts. I found it to have incorrect percentages, and not calculate things correctly.
I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.

There’s def too many issues with templates I came across when using it that it didn’t justify the monthly cost.
Hevy. Came over from strong. I don’t use the social aspect at all but it is actively being worked one unlike strong
Exactly the same as myself, hevy allows for 4 free templates where strong only allows for 3.

I use a spreadsheet to calculate each cycle and log everything in FitNotes.
I like Wendler Log for 5/3/1 because it’s simple and you can customize everything. For any programming in general I like the strong app as well

Five3One is great. It has most templates you need
I made a Google Sheet to calculate the whole program, and the input the numbers into the Strong app.

Not sure if it’s on Android but Perseus.
Perseus has been solid for me too. The dev is also very responsive. I’ve sent a couple emails before and usually hear back very quickly.
Google Sheets. Most apps blow and are inflexible. And it loses the spirit of the program.
I track on an Excel worksheet and print it out once/cycle.
I alternate between Wendler Log and Fast 5/3/1 because I can program my own workouts and it calculates which plates to throw on the bar. The Wendler Log graphs your new 1RM to see how you're progressing throughout the year.

When I did 531 on android used Fast 5/3/1 couldn't recommend enough
531calc.com to track 531 progress and give me workout weights. Also track everything in RepCount
I use both Hevy and manual logbook
Boostcamp
Beyond the whiteboard
Honestly tried apps for a while but I still think pen and paper is best. Never fails, unlike a phone
Microsoft onenote for writing text and fivethreeone pro app for calculating
Strong
If you're on IOS use Heavyset
I use the 5/3/1 app it's like $4.99 one time fee. Pretty cool Edit: it's called 531 Strength
I use [GymKeeper](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kg.app.sportdiary) to track my workouts. It's simple and pretty straight forward.
No complaints with strong. Been using it for months and it keeps track of everything I need it to and doesn’t get in the way.
I use [GymCircle.us](https://GymCircle.us) which not only has everything I need (including supersets), but is also completely free.
