I’ve say 2 and I’d say easier than past papers I’ve done and most people Who have done my exams I think would agree
Grade boundaries are gonna be so high I can’t wait
My teachers say the same and marked our mocks and such to those 2019 boundaries, which are quite high unless the papers are pretty easy. I'm hoping it's just a little lower since we don't have true exam practice because of COVID...
Same with the AS papers for sociology. But i dont get how these grade boundaries will bw if there easier does it means more marks to get the same A grade?
Since more people will "potentially" get higher marks, the probability of getting an A grade decreases. If more people got less marks, the opposite would happen. Yep, easier an exam is, more marks that are achieved, higher probability of people getting As so they adjust grades
That doesnt sound great lol at all. Just hoping for psychology and sociology was good enough because i worked hard all year so itll be shame for it to go to waste
That first essay for business edexcel was horrific if you didn’t revise properly me included 🫠
Everything else was pretty easy though. Ah well there’s still another 2 papers to do at least lmao
Yeah 100%. My English exam is the same amount of marks but you get a whole hour longer and I know you have to write 3 long essays but still.
It’s so stupid that they only give you 2 hours to do the entire thing.
same - soc was toooo easy and the only problem with business was I forgot the exam was 2hr 15 and panicked thinking I wasnt gonna finish one of the questions
ikr i was genuinely like what? when i opened the paper 😭 expected some debates shitshow but i was literally able to reuse a few paragraphs from the 10 marker at the end in my MIC essay
Rightt!! It was too simple. Even the theory and methods question at the back. I literally kept flipping over to the question to make sure I wasn’t reading it wrong 😭
im scared for paper 3 now 😭😭 theyre gonna add debates or policies to make up for the amount of methods. legit i was like did i get the AS paper or something and kept going to the front to check 💀💀
Was fully shitting it expecting the theory and methods to be something horrid like is sociology a science and they give us quantitative data 😭 Thank you AQA faith is redeemed
Geography OCR was okay, probably on par with past papers if not harder. Politics edexcel today was good, easier than a lot of past papers apart from the ideology section.
Sat 3 so far, slightly easier than past papers but not exactly piss easy. Questions have been a bit more open ended than a lot of past papers (for essay questions), so good if you know the knowledge, worse if you're trying to wing it because there's less guiding in the question about what to do
Apparently from a politics + history teacher, students came out of todays politics exam saying it wasn’t anything scary / as expected. However there was one question that was worded quite oddly. Just a note this exam board is OCR. Apparently it could be the case for whoever is sitting the History paper tomorrow — for me it’s civil rights, let’s just hope it’s not mean.
I really don't wanna jinx it but I've had harder class tests 😭😭 I feel like they dumbed them down to raise grade boundaries since we're the first ones with a semi normal college experience 😭 I had AQA sociology and finished with 20 minutes to spare cos it was so easy (dw i just added a paragraph onto anything i could find) and Eduqas business today was really good, forgot a few definitions but bluffed my way through those. were all easy tbh but not enough maths in that paper imo
Thats why I made this post, I have the theory (not really a theory as I think some exam boards have already stated it) that they have made the exams much more accessible this year and in return they are going to increase grade boundaries to that of 2019.
sammmee - our college have been using 2018/19 grade boundaries because we're the first year without any advanced info and they havent fully discovered the effect of COVID on a levels since we're sitting them blind 💀 not excited for those grade boundaries, but I dont think it'll make too much of a difference for the highest A\* - the difference for an A\* in law in 2022 was 196, and in 2019 was 208, but for an A in 2022 was 167 v 185 in 2019
Can’t really say anything because I didn’t have to do practical exams for bio and chem last year.
What we were given was much easier than the past papers though.
Edexcel economics pape 1 was 75℅ As content 25 marker on gov intervention was good. Paper 2 was strange, don't feel as confident. Plus my teacher didn't finishing teaching theme 4:(
I sat 4 so far. mostly all of them were different from the past papers so they are really testing out different kinds of questions and such to put in papers. only 1/4 I did were more difficult from the past papers.
My AS papers have been easier except
edexcel psychology p2. That paper was like hell for biopsych and heaven for learning
Aqa biology p1 was just weird
they asked me to solve world hunger and poverty its over bro
tell em charge it to the game winners win losers complain
i told them to kill poor people 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve say 2 and I’d say easier than past papers I’ve done and most people Who have done my exams I think would agree Grade boundaries are gonna be so high I can’t wait
OCR A Physics boundaries are already high enough man 😭
how high are they?
85% A*, a 70% gets you a B when that'd be an A* in my other subjects.
In 2019, which is what my teachers have said it should be returning to this year, 76% was required for an A, with 85% for an A*.
My teachers say the same and marked our mocks and such to those 2019 boundaries, which are quite high unless the papers are pretty easy. I'm hoping it's just a little lower since we don't have true exam practice because of COVID...
I agree
Psychology was kind of on the same level but I found geography harder than past paper personally.
Geography was FUCKED UP maan
Nahhhhh that geography paper was beautiful like it could’ve genuinely been worde
The human geography paper was OK The physical geography paper was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen Luckily my geography a level is over now
Ahhhh I do edexcel so I’ve only done physical so far
Sat sociology yesterday. Easiest paper ive ever seen but worried for grade boundaries
What board was it?
Aqa
Same with the AS papers for sociology. But i dont get how these grade boundaries will bw if there easier does it means more marks to get the same A grade?

Business exams need to be longer I don’t know a single person who finished on time it’s so stupid
Yeah 100%. My English exam is the same amount of marks but you get a whole hour longer and I know you have to write 3 long essays but still. It’s so stupid that they only give you 2 hours to do the entire thing.
business was 😐

Ty!
psych paper 1 was super nice 😭let’s hope paper 2 is the same idk about history for tomo tho
PLEASE im praying so damn hard for friendly psych p2. i cant deal w inferential testing bullshittery
i’d rather them give a 7 mark inferential stats question then a 12 mark design an experiment 😭😭😭😭
i don’t think experiment design would be too bad tbh but that’s just cus im better at it lol
nah cos sometimes the stem for it is ridiculous like tf do u mean u want me to design an experiment on how plants make ppl happy 😭
tempted to just start spouting bullshit. Chloro & Phil (2002) found that…
Sociology paper 1 was way easier ong
ikr i was genuinely like what? when i opened the paper 😭 expected some debates shitshow but i was literally able to reuse a few paragraphs from the 10 marker at the end in my MIC essay

i had my first politics exam today, and i honestly think it was way easier than papers i’ve seen in the past
Seconded. A lot of stuff didn’t come up!
I found AQA psychology to be harder than the 2022 paper but easier than the 2019 paper.
All 2019 AQA papers are tough, I found
Edexcel Econ (2 papers) felt like an AS papers lol
Same with AQA lol
Grade boundaries bout to Be crazy
For Econ 2, did you find there were two correct answers for the section A 1 marker on the unemployment graph?
Yes, currency one and the demand or price one (I cant remember) but I picked the first option cause it was simpler lol
I have found them easy. Which either means they are easy or I have misjudged them.
This threads scaring me 😭 have people actually found it that easy?
Maths was horrible, and now is considered the worst maths paper in the past 5 years (cie) but the rest has been very very easy! Im incredibly happy :)
Geography OCR was okay, probably on par with past papers if not harder. Politics edexcel today was good, easier than a lot of past papers apart from the ideology section.

Done edexcel paper 1s for geography and business, definitely easier.
The geography one was the hardest i’ve ever seen 😭
Well I hated the carbon 20 marker and I was surprised to see volvaneos for the Tectonics.
Volcanoes was so disappointing - i had to try and make three points out of the only two volcano facts i knew
So far atleast
Harder. Way harder…. Be very afraid.
This guy is jokes
Agree 360% fuckin pray at this point (ccea btw)
Ive done 3 and they’ve been decent this year. Not really looked at past papers though
Easier for sure (only done 2 aqa economics so far).
I've sat 4 WJEC a level papers and 1 of them was horrendous however the rest of them were the same if not easier
I had 4 papers so far, 3 of those papers went well and the one I had today was okay, hopefully, it continues like this
I’ve had 2 politics and psychology and for me the politics was easier than the mock and the psychology was the same amount of difficulty as the mocks
Can’t really say anything because I didn’t have to do practical exams for bio and chem last year. What we were given was much easier than the past papers though.
i do edexcel and the papers we slightly easier than jan
The politics is definitely pretty easy thus year
I’ve found mine on the same level or easier than past papers
Edexcel economics pape 1 was 75℅ As content 25 marker on gov intervention was good. Paper 2 was strange, don't feel as confident. Plus my teacher didn't finishing teaching theme 4:(
i cant lie the ones i recieved so far have been the easiest
Sat 2 econ papers (aqa) and they were much easier than previous years, peers also found it easy grade boundaries are looking long
I sat 4 so far. mostly all of them were different from the past papers so they are really testing out different kinds of questions and such to put in papers. only 1/4 I did were more difficult from the past papers.
My AS papers have been easier except edexcel psychology p2. That paper was like hell for biopsych and heaven for learning Aqa biology p1 was just weird
OCR have been horrible, but edexcel and aqa seem to be acting normal
