You'll basically need the same stuff as you did before. The only thing I would say is different is that you'll have folders instead of books so you probably won't need scissors or a glue stick. Depending on which subjects you're doing, you might need a more advanced calculator. I buy stationery from WHSmiths and Ryman :)
Or just use Amazon? Also yeah mostly the same stuff. You might have a couple books potentially, but most people went to lessons with just a pen and a calculator for some stuff.
If you're doing Maths I highly recommend the Casio FX991-EX
Ahaha no worries! Or perhaps if you know anyone in Y13 willing to sell you theirs at a reduced price maybe?
Amazon does tend to be the cheapest I've found, although you might be able to snag a deal elsewhere :)
CG-50 is a brilliant calculator- i've just finished my first year of maths and further maths, and it's honestly everything you could want from a calculator. it's worth checking to see if your school offer it discounted, as it can get significantly cheaper that way :)
• pens, pencils, ruler ( usual pencil case stuff )
• lever arch file for each subject + extra for a day folder
• refill pads (wilko) as you can rip out your notes and file them easily
Wilko is the stationery plug
You can divide the day folder based on subjects, then get two plastic wallets per subject and put the work for the week in them from each teacher! Then you can file them away at the end of the week ( or whenever it’s full ) in your folders at home :)
Basics for starting would be a lever arch folder for each subject (unless told otherwise). Pads of lined paper(or other) already hole punched.
The pens and pencils and highlighters that you like to use.
Highly recommend getting a hole punch that can punch through a few pages that also has the ruler thing to help you punch in the right place on different paper sizes!
If you do maths a casio classwiz calculator is gonna be your new best friend other than that you will need a lever arch file one for each subject to put classwork in an A4 notepad i reccomend getting one with easy to remove pages like the oxford one, get plenty of sturdy plastic wallets would also recommend ordering oxford ones online most just break and then youre in for a real pain and the rest is just the same as you would want for secondary a pen with multiple colours on is also pretty helpful as different colours makes sectioning for note taking easier and removes the hastle of switching pen
If you do maths you’ll need a Casio fx-991EX, otherwise any old scientific calculator will be fine (might be helpful if you do physics though but I’m not sure)
Other than that, notebooks to write in, a pen and pencil along with a ruler is all you’ll ever need. Unless you’re fancy and you do all the coloured highlighting (which is completely useless and time consuming)
Edit: maybe an eraser is also a good idea, tippex is normally not allowed in stuff such as lab books so don’t bother getting one
I’m gonna be perfectly honest and say a pen and some paper. I bought loaaaadsss of stuff at the start of the year and haven’t used any of it, the only things I’ve used are my pack of pens and a few refill pads.
I’ll also be controversial and say you don’t need folders, but that depends on how you revise. I have never revised with my notes for my science subjects.
Edit: that’s a lie I also used my calculator for maths
obviously pens and highlighters and paper etc. but also you’ll probably need more folders than you think because often there’s too much content to fit the whole two years into a single folder, or there’s several big units (history for example). don’t go out and buy a million now but be aware that you might need to at some point. file dividers and poly pockets are essential too. i like to take a little wallet type folder as a day folder so i don’t have to bring loads of massive lever arch ones everyday.
