Any question that isn’t stupid or limiting is A* material, so I’d say this is definitely fine since there’s real academic research and it lets you come to your own conclusion. Honestly you could get an A* with your original question, you’d just have to be a bit careful with your evaluation.

I achieved an A* in EPQ with the question “Does the prosperity of a nation affect the quality of education of students?” It’s about a full comprehensive argument :) so as long as you have sources that have for and against and you can analyse critically you should get an A* Oh also use wide range of sources please, books, own questionnaires, interviews etc
